I thought it was awesome that there was a Domino's Pizza ad under the article... I'm all for creating original stories with recognizable characters, but this sounds like a dumb  ing idea to me. Michael Bay should stick to adult content and stop being that weird middle aged guy that thinks he understands how the youth of society perceives "cool" in 2012. Bad Boys 2 was awesome, Transformers 2, not so much. |

never understood how the transformers fans felt until now and so far i have seen 1000's of complaints on this but will they listen? no ridiculous how every true turtle fan disagrees and they still will go ahead there ing intellectually- disabled this is not what we ing want!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I usually don't complain about changes made from source material, and each iteration of TMNT is different anyway...
But to change the core of their origin, the part that every other adaptation has kept in tact annoys me.
Making them aliens turns it into a completely different story.

Not saying he's ruining my childhood as I have plenty of the older cartoons plus the first two live action movies, but aliens? LMAO.
Not saying he's ruining my childhood (even though I LOVE TMNT), but I think I'll just stick with my old cartoon collection. Yeesh.

well thats it if he ruins this i can officially say the turtles have had it in hollywood they'll never get another movie if this bombs and i have the feel a lot of fans will boycott this
at least transformers came from where they were suppose too whether the movies sucked or not

I'll wait until we see at the very least, a trailer, to make hardcore judgements. Got to agree right now that if anything, this just helps preserve the awesome 1990 movie. Though I'd love to see a more intense adaptation, I appreciate that movie more every time I watch it.
That having been said, I'm surprised that everyone is so shocked by this. Honestly, while I love Ninja Turtles, some of the comics are so out there with all of their alien bullsh*t that I can barely stomach them. It's like a bunch of plushy/furry people got ahold of it and love to write these weird, quasi-anime stories and they're just too much for me. Love the gritty, goofy street turtles way more than the alien warfare magical power turtles. Most hardcore turtles fans seem to love that alien warfare stuff though, so that's why they're heading in that direction.
I'm sure they'll keep the origin's idea somehow. Let's just wait until it's out to judge if it's actually good.
And wait until I or someone else is in their 40's and in control of Hollywood blockbusters for the real TMNT movie to come out.

Michael Bay is such a hack. This guy is the definition of using special effects as a crutch. In a Michael Bay movie a character could tip over a bottle of water and it would burst into flames like a gas station just exploded or something. Hey Michael Bay........DERP.  |
