There is no doubt that on card, Wrestlemania 28 is one of the greatest, if not the greatest sounding Wrestlemania ever.
WWE have done an amazing job of building this ppv, setting the ground works for this year even before last year's WM with The Rock's return promo and the announcement, the night after Wrestlemania, the dream match, What everyone is paying for Wrestlemania to see The Rock vs John Cena.
Not to mention 2 of the very best in the world going up against each other for the WWE title, an internet dream match/fued.
and 2 of the most respected WWE superstars of all time in Hell in a Cell, with WWE's greatest of all time as the ref
WWE has really put their cards on the table with this years Wrestlemania. It could go down as the best Wrestlemania of all time or it could be a MAJOR disappointment
What do you think

The optimist in me says we'll see a classic quadruple main event, including what will be an historic, one-for-the-ages Hell in a Cell match, plus an uncercard given a bit of time and a great atmosphere throughout the night.
The cynic in me however says we'll be let down by a total flop of a Rock/ Cena main event, the HIAC match finish will piss many people off, the 12-man tag will last about 4 minutes and CM Punk vs. Jericho will more or less replicate the underwhelming Jericho vs. Edge match from Mania 26.
Can't decide.

WM28 will definitively end up living up to the hype. Already we've seen a good build up but next weeks Raw should turn out to really deliver and make us even more exited for WM.
Already we've got Cena/Rock, Jericho/Punk and Taker/HHH with HBK as the Ref inside HIAC, That's 3 HUGE main events and we also got Bryan/Sheamus, Team Teddy vs Team Johnny, Kane/Orton and Rhodes vs Big Show, The only bad match is the Diva's match but hopefully that match somehow turns out to be entertaining and hopefully we get Ryder vs Miz since both guys do deserve to be on WM.
For this WM to actually live up to the hype WWE really needs to focus on the whole card, The match order and time limits. Have HHH/Taker, Jericho/Punk and Rock/Cena go on as the last 3 matches and make sure the other 5 matches get enough time, Also make sure the Diva match doesn't drag on for too long.
If each match gets enough time and if every match turns out to be at least decent, good, great or even a classic then WM28 COULD turn out the be the biggest and greatest WM of all time and somehow even topping the epic WM17 which was at the Attitude Era's peak and i always thought WM17 could NEVER be beaten but it looks like it could get overtaken by this years WM.

I've got another prediction for Mania: Maria Menounos will look hotter than and probably outwrestle the other Divas in their Tag Team match.

Rock vs Cena is a HUGE dream match and could be the last really big one for some time. Punk vs Jericho will steal the show, Bryan will carry Shemuas and HHH vs Taker 3 will be good. Still feel over all it will not live up

The PPV will be great, but when I think of the build, it was very poorly done.
Nobody is coming to blows or taking it to that next level when trying to build for the importance of Wrestlemania.
I think Cena vs. Rock was built poorly, Triple H vs. Undertaker was great but it lacked so many possibilities with being built only on the mic. Punk and Jericho barely fight and the rest follow suit.
From what i seen (watching Raw only but with smackdown highlights from raw), Randy Orton and Kane have been the most physically built feud on the card, and that shouldnt be...

No. The Main Events are spectacular. The undercard just isn't good. At all. Lack of Money in the Bank and dreadful Orton/Kane and Divas Tag Match is going to hurt this show. Team Johnny vs Team Teddy is going to be a cluster . Injuries ruined this card from being the greatest of all time, even on paper. Imagine Rey/Sin Cara and Money in the Bank with Ziggler, Swagger, Kofi, Truth, Santino, Barrett, Christian and Del Rio. Add in Beth/Kharma and THAT right there, even on paper, is the best WrestleMania card ever.

No it will not. Even the Rock vs Cena match to me still has no real feud fire, it feels forced. Undertaker vs HHH should be good. The rest blahhhhhhhhhhhhh.

What hype? They've phoned it in.
Nothing has happened in the last 5 weeks to get any extra excitement flowing. This is the least excited I have been pre-Mania this close to it. Why? I have little doubt to who is coming out with the wins, it's Cena, Taker, Punk, Sheamus, Orton, Cody but it doesn't matter anyway, Johnny L again like it matters, ahem...MMKK. These matches and feuds have become unimaginative, I can't see anything beyond those people winning which sucks. Makes it hard to get excited for the event, it's like knowing the ending to a film or a fine plot detail. They've given us no real reason to doubt this is where they are heading.
Only reason to watch is in hope of seeing something special from these main events, which could happen in Punk/Jericho on a hiding to nothing - gonna have to be on Angle/Brock levels to be memorable, Taker/H but it could fall apart, Sheamus/Bryan which is either going one way or the other - this match could end up being 25 minutes long or 5 minutes long and I'm inclined to believe the latter will happen given the way Sheamus rolls through people - bigger people than DB. Rock/Cena could be a mess and were gonna get like an hour of Rock/Cena hype on the event were going to be burnt out by the time they get to it, I am bored of seeing it already, 2 weeks ago even.
They better pray the live crowd is hot as hell - setting and participation have a way of making something unspectacular become that.

Its weird, I don't see it being the greatest ever, cause well we'll still get the 20minutes of un-needed promos, the stupid live performance, and the Divas match. But then again, we have some awesome SOUNDING matches, the HIAC, Punk/Jericho, Rock/Cena and don't forget Bryan/Sheamus. Now they all have the possibility of being great, but will they, will it be about the wrestling or (what most Mania matches have been about for the last half decade) and be more about this sense of emotion WWE are now obsessed with? Wrestling terms, they could, and can be greats, if don't in the right way;
HIAC - brutal brawl Punk/Jericho - wrestling match Bryan/Sheamus - wrestling match, straight up hard-hitting too Rock/Cena - brawl all over the arena
Now if these were done in the above way, then yea, this one could be the greatest in years, but will they be thats the question.
And about the hype, I have to be honest, I have never felt more 'meh' about a Mania, sure it could be because of other things I've had on my mind, but by now I'm normally digging out the old WM's, watching the WM15 build, watching Austin/Hart and all that. This year, well I haven't, there hasn't been much of a build that we haven't seen for every PPV match in the last 3 years.

I think it's going to be a pretty decent event..Not sure if it will live up to the hype though.

I really, really hope so!
I am going to watch it at a friends, the atmosphere there should help. I think PPV parties help make even decent PPV's really great!

Yep. Rock vs. Cena - Dream match and I'm sure it'll deliver. I'm not expecting a five star bout, I'm expecting a good-great match with an amazing atmosphere. The latter would be really hard to up. HIAC - Dream match that I'm positive will deliver. I seriously can't imagine this match being awful. Punk vs. Jericho - Again, dream match and I'm sure it will be awesome. Love the direction they are taking this, Punk's promo on Raw was easily the highlight and one of the best he's done in quite some time. Maybe since the Summer Of Punk. Bryan vs. Sheamus - The build is terrible but I'm sure the match will be on the other side of the spectrum. Sheamus recently had his best match against Ziggler (it was in my opinion at least), and Bryan doesn't do bad matches; I'm expecting an awesome match. Rhodes vs. Show - Giving Show benefit of the doubt here, I'm expecting a decent bout. Rhodes better win. Orton vs. Kane - Will probably be the fifth best match on the card. These guys are going to deliver a good match, while I'm not excited for it, I don't imagine it'll be anything but a plus. Tag Match - Has potential to be good. Most likely will be awful. Diva's - Will, most likely suck. Also hate that Maria Menounos won't even be appearing on Raw to build the match up. Then again, this kind of came out of nowhere... Yeah, I wish Sin Cara vs. Rey Mysterio was on the card. I figured it would be on months ago and it was the first time I was excited for a Rey Mysterio match since 2006. Alas, I figured wrong, I blame the injuries! I understand I said that two matches will suck, and yeah when I do my review, that's going to bring the rating down quite a bit. But as I've said before that's a weighted system. In the end, I'm getting three dream matches, all of which I'm sure will deliver, another awesome match with Bryan (altogether, should be at least half the show). Throw in the sure to be at least good Orton vs. Kane match, and I'm not going to really be bothered if two matches suck. Hell, throw in Rhodes/Show to. As long as those matches deliver, I'll be happy.

People saying it won't live up to hype are just pessimists. We've got Cena and Rock, 2 of the most charismatic superstars of all time, with Rock's 1st singles match in over 7 years. The crowd itself will make this match, and they'll be hot no matter what match they follow. It's Rock's hometown. Then we have Punk vs. Jericho, 2 of the best WRESTLERS the WWE has had in a long time, and the build to this feud has been great. I don't know where people are getting anywhere that is hasn't been. Punk and Jericho have delivered every week since the feud started. And Daniel Bryan and Sheamus have already proved they can have great matches, and the winner of this will be seen as really grabbing a hold of a permanent main event spot.
Then we have a HIAC in for the 1st time in an outdoor arena, Taker's streak and HHH's career's are in real jeopardy, HBK is making an unneccessary appearance but can't people be happy one of the greatest of all time will be on their screens at WrestleMania? The under card is what it should be, it gets everyone on the card, and some could be surprises. Kane vs. Orton could be better than people are expecting. Rhodes vs. Show could be OK. If either of those are mildly entertaining they will serve their purpose. They're filler, they're not the main course. I wish people could just sit back and watch without already expecting a flop.

I have faith in the card so far, with the hype and work they're pumping out with Rock/Cena the rest of the roster has to step their game up. I don't get the cynics in this thread, if you're already planning out how the show is going to turn out then why bother watching it? Let the Wrestlers work their craft and they might surprise you, it IS Wrestlemania after all.

I feel like as long at Rock/Cena, Taker/HHH, Punk/Jericho, and Bryan/Sheamus are spread out the cards going to look fantastic. If all those matches are clumped together then the crowd will burn out and the undercard will look like shit. Lets be honest nobody really cares about Kane/Orton, Rhodes/Big Show isnt going to be a classic by no means, Team Funkman/Team Teddy is going to be one big cluster and the divas match is well.....a divas match. So this card needs to pretty much rely on the 4 main matches to live up to the hype around it.

I voted NO. I really doubt it will live up to the hype, As I feel Wrestlemania never really does.
For the PPV that is supposed to be WWE's best, I never really like WM. There have been very few WM's where I felt the entire PPV was awesome. Usually there is just 1 or 2 Really good matches.
This year, Id say the Undertaker/HHH match will be solid, and I think it will be cool to see the Rock in action. However, I feel it will just be like any other PPV thats average, and not really worth the $60.00 it will be.
Besides the Rocks return, and the HIAC match, this seems to be a very simple PPV.
The GM Tag match isnt even an elimination tag match, No MITB match, The WWE, WHC, and IC title matches are just your basic 1 on 1 matches, and the Orton/Kane match is already pointless, but on top of that has no special stipulations.
and the Divas match is just a mistake. Its going to suck.
I feel it will be a B- or C grade PPV. and though its an hour longer, and the rock is back, I think it will fall short of the hype and not be worth the $60-$65 it will cost.
