Lex Luger is the first recognized WCW World Champion. He's also the first recognized WCW United States Champion. On both occasions he was given one of Dusty's old Florida titles until a WCW version was made LOL

Hulk Hogan was the last WWF Champion in history. Due to the name dispute with the Workd Wildlife Fund the official name change of the World Wrestling Federation was on May 5th, 2002. Hulk Hogan lost the title to The Undertaker(Ironically enough considering his brother Kane) May 19! 2002. Meaning The Undertaker was the first ever World Wrestling *Entertainment* Champion. A very befitting historical anecdote considering no in-performer is a greater pure thespian of the profession or embodiment of the "Passion Play" Ideaology that creates the cartilage of Professional Wrestling's back bone. John Cena is often considered the man who ushered in the modern era where the top guy was not someone who became a star during the company being WWF, but he debuted on smackdown in 2001. WWF's name change would not be until a year later. By that fact. It would be 7 years until a wrestler with no affiliation with the company prior to the name change would become WWE Champion. That man would be Sheamus when he beat Cena for it in 2009. Cena debuted in 2002, didn't he?

Saw this one on a different forum, not sure if true:
Only six people have official wins over Goldberg: Kevin Nash, Bret Hart, Booker T, Scott Steiner, Lex Luger and Triple H. None of them were in a clean, one on one match.

With the Invasion end in late '01, McMahon called for a new era of Ruthless Aggression in mid-2002, just after the name change, and Cena was the first person to answer the call. Other than Cena and Orton, who else was brought in for the "Ruthless Aggression" movement? I know Batista came in around this time, but that was with Reverend D-Von, not with Ruthless Aggression.

Justin King has a twin brother, who was/is the commissioner or whatever of FCW (I don't follow FCW, so I'm not sure as to what he does). He would technically be right if said twin brother got called up in that particular role. I hope to God he meant to type "hi."

Well this goes to prove I am truly the ONLY wrestling fan alive born after 1990 who is indifferent to John Cena. I jumbled my facts. I'm sorry. I was trying to explain he signed a developmental contract with the company in 2001. So he did have affiliation with WWF even if it was the last year of such. The main point was simply that not until Sheamus had there been a single wrestler to win the WWE Championship who had no affiliation with the company prior to the name change.

Freddie Blassie was permanently blinded in one eye after being hit with a hard boiled egg thrown by a heckling fan in the early 80s.

Since the institution of the title in 2007, only 10 Men have held the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
Half of whom were originally WWE Superstars.
Only a personal note I witnessed the beginning of current Champion Bobby Roode's record breaking title reign in person at the centreplex in Macon, GA. So I can say I witnessed history to some legitimate degree.
Other than Mr.Anderson, all former WWE Superstars to hold The TNA World title have held the WWE Championship.
