January 4, 2010 – Impact Zone –Orlando, FL
The show kicks off with a wonderful display of pyrotechnics and laser lights. The camera pans the audience quickly as we cut to a quick hype video promoting tonight’s epic three hour show, which will feature the “Immortal” Hulk Hogan. The cameras then cut to announcers: Mike Tenay & Taz. Both men welcome us to the broadcast and announce that tonight; Hulk Hogan will be live in the iMPACT Zone! They quickly announce tonight’s main event as Kurt Angle vs. AJ Styles for Styles’ TNA Heavyweight Championship of the world.
We cut to a video package of Bubba the Love Sponge, asking what fans are most excited to see tonight. Some of the people wanted to see AJ Styles fight Kurt Angle for the Heavyweight championship, while others were most excited to see Hulk Hogan step into the Impact Zone for the first time ever.
We go back live as the Steel Asylum is covering the six-sided ring. A graphic is shown announcing that the X-Division championship will be on the line in the Steel Asylum. The participants then make their way down to the structure; first down is the team of Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed, then the Motor City Machine Guns make their way down, next representing the World Elite: Homicide and Kiyoshi. Finally, the X-Division Champion: Amazing Red came down without Don West.
