Pretty similar to Worthing, the GAME and Gamestation stores are pretty much a 2 minute walk from one to another. I hardly ever see these busy either :/

However, sad to see Gamestation in Newcastle go. I was just in there yesterday, probably for the last time ever. And the last memory I'll have of it is of the guy in front of me farting as he left. Not pretty.

Good to see that the Gamestation at the Metrocentre remains as I prefer that one and I like the staff there.

I called into Newcastle's Gamestation last week and they had next to nothing in. Seems weird how both GAME stores in town are closing, not that I'll miss them since I would only ever browse when with friends but you'd think being a major city they'd leave at-least one, surprised the Jarrow Gamestation is still sticking around, glad it is though as I would often get games from there, also with a Grainger Games about ten paces away I'm surprised it's survived that.

So that would make South Shields my nearest GAME store.

EDIT: Just saw Jarrow and Shields have bit the dust, ah well :-/

Shame...I used to love going to GAME, but the prices just got silly. All I really bought from there for the past few years was the collector's tins of Pokémon cards, but I've had more luck with TRU lately..

Can see why they had troubles though as I wanted Uncharted 3 and it was 39.99 there. Then ended up getting it out of Tesco for 25.00
