to steal the idea from wylee! let's turn our attention to what is generally considered the most reviled Mania of the first 20 years - WrestleMania 11!! honestly, this one is gonna be a hard one,as,quite frankly, this event, and this time-period in WWF history, sucked! Women's Championship Match - Alundra Blayze vs Bull Nakano ....and they wonder why Madusa left?! a crap match in her first Mania a year before vs a retired wrestler, then NO match the following year! anyway, Blayze wins with a rollup, but Nakano attacks her afterwards to continue the feud... Owen Hart vs The British Bulldog - forgotten in the sands of time, Owen caused Bulldog to get knocked out in Bret's Survivor Series match...that issue was never brought up,never resolved...here, it actually is...Owen wins, and bulldog begrudgingly offers his hand afterwards, subtly setting the seeds of his turn and alliance with Owen months later... Intercontinental Title Match - Jeff Jarrett vs Razor Ramon - pretty much keep this the same.... Undertaker vs Kama - would've been much better than Bundy, and is still a Corporation member, since 1995 was basically Taker vs the Corporation.... Taker wins, but Tatanka is the one who runs off with the urn...Taker would go through Tatanka at KOTR, then face the "crown jewel" of the corporation, Sid, at SummerSlam, and finally regain the urn...at least, that would be my scenerio.... Tag Team Championship Match - Smoking Guns vs Yokozuna and Crush ... a returning Crush & Yoko take the Belts.... #1 Contender's Match - Bret Hart vs Lex Luger....finally meeting at a PPV, i'd play it up as 2 Face's against each other, with each wanting a WWF Championship shot....Bret wins....frustrated Luger teases a heel turn.... WWF Championship - Diesel vs Shawn Michaels ...keep it pretty much the same, minus botched Jacknife.... Main Event : Bam Bam Bigelow & Tatanka vs LT & Steve McMichael - i'd make it a tag match to hopefully up the action, and give the NFL'ers each time to rest...have all the same guys outside the ring...same outcome, Bigelow pinned by McMichael...

Yikes. I think WM 11 was doomed from the start. I dont think there was enough talent on the roster to make it one of the best

Yikes. I think WM 11 was doomed from the start. I dont think there was enough talent on the roster to make it one of the best like i said,it's not an easy task to improve it....and we were still a year away from guys like Vader,Warrior, Triple H, Candido,Ahmed Johnson, and Jake Roberts being able to be included and help it...

Not bad mikey...I like the tweaks you made. However, I think i'd leave Bam Bam vs LT as it was. Was it a great match? no Do you want to rewatch it often? no.
But I think the singles match was fine as it was. LT was huge....nobody cared about 'Mongo" McMichaels til he was in wcw and its arguable if people cared then. Worry if you start cluttering the main event and the novelity act loses its luster. IMO

Instead of Backlund winning the WWF Title at SS, it would have been Owen the same way Backlund won it. Bret then costs Owen the title to Diesel at the Royal Rumble, and my card would have looked like...
Diesel vs HBK - WWF Championship - Diesel wins same way it happened
Bret Hart vs Owen Hart - Bret wins to finally end this great feud
LT vs Bam Bam - While this wasn't main event material, atleast these guys gave an effort(far better than Cena vs Miz last year). I'd have just moved this match to the middle of the card.
Undertaker vs Kama - I like this match the OP picked for Taker, and while their SS95 match sucked, it was better than Taker and Bundy.
Lex Luger vs Yokozuna - A rematch from the past year WM, where Luger would finally get a pinfall win over Yoko
Razor Ramon vs Bulldog vs Jeff Jarrett - IC Title - Didn't see really any triple threats back then. This would have been am interesting match IMO and Jarrett would have cheated to win.

WWF championship match
Bret Hart vs HBK
Hart retains with the sharpshooter. He should've never lost at SS and Diesel was the worst champion ever. Bret says that he is better than Bret in every way and will prove it at mania. Shawn tries to cheat with a chair but Pamela Anderson stops him and Bret wins.
Diesel vs Owen Hart ends with a jacknife powerbomb Owen work the leg for awhile trying to elimanate from Nash's arsenal)
Bam Bam Bigelow defeats LT with help from Tatanka and Lex Luger. Luger joins the corperation and a program with Taker would begin on Raw
Bulldog defeats Luger with a backslide or small package setting up Lugers heel turn. He refuses to shake Davey's hand.
Razor defeats Jarrett with a Razor's edge to regain the IC Gold
Tatanka and Kama win the WWF tag titles from the Smoking Gunns
A newly babyface Yokozuna returns and defeats King Kong Bundy much to the dismay of the corporation. Yokozuna, Undertaker, Bulldog, all can now feud with the Corporation. Even LT could get back in the mix and maybe an 8 man tag down the line.
Undertaker defeats the M$M who wrestles one last match.
This is the best card possible imo.

Went ahead and looked up the February 1995 WWF roster to keep this somewhat fair.
WWF Intercontinental Championship - Razor Ramon & 1-2-3 Kid vs. Jeff Jarrett (c) & The Roadie I would make this a tag team attraction but if Razor pinned Jarrett he would win the IC title and if Jarrett pinned Razor he would retain the IC title. I would have Razor pin Roadie thus winning the match but NOT winning the IC title.
Owen Hart vs. British Bulldog Stemming from their feud going back since Backlund vs. Bret at Survivor Series. I would put Bulldog over clean here since he got screwed at the Rumble.
Diesel vs. Sid Justice I'm going back pretty far here, but I would have had Bret defeat Backlund after Survivor Series in a re-match instead of Diesel's famous 8 second match. Bret would have held the title since then after retaining against Diesel at Royal Rumble. Somehow these two would get involved in a feud leading to this match which Diesel would win with a Jacknife.
Lex Luger vs. Tatanka Wasn't there some sort of feud going on already between these two after Tatanka turned and joined Million Dollar Corporation? I'd have Luger go over after botched interference from Ted DiBiase.
The Undertaker vs. Bam Bam Bigelow Again, this match should of happened. If for some reason it didn't happen at Wrestlemania 9, I would have made it happen here. Undertaker wins but Kama still steals the urn leading to a future match between them. After the match, King Kong Bundy and I.R.S. come down leading to a 4 on 1 beat down. Taker, of course, lives but his future is in doubt until next month.
WWF Tag Team Championship - Smokin' Gunns (c) vs. Jerry Lawler & Hakushi Instead of having Owen introduce Yokozuna, I'd throw Jerry Lawler in there and have him introduce Hakushi. However, The Smokin' Gunns would get the victory after Hakushi botches and hits Lawler by accident.
Lawrence Taylor vs. Yokozuna This would have gone down the same except I would've brought Yokozuna back at the Rumble and conducted everything the same as if he were Bam Bam. LT goes over as punishment for Yoko not losing weight. None of that "All Star team" and Million Dollar Corporation nonsense though.
WWF Championship - Bret Hart (c) vs. Shawn Michaels Again, Shawn wins the Rumble but Bret would have won the title back from Backlund the month after Survivor Series. Bret also would have retained against Diesel at Royal Rumble. Bret goes over with the Sharpshooter.
I would have probably kept Salt 'N Pepa to play LT to the ring. The "All Star" team could have been in the crowd or used in backstage segments but I wouldn't have introduced them to the ring like they did. Million Dollar Corporation would have had enough going on with Bam Bam and Luger matches.

The only thing I would change from this would be making the 123 Kid getting the pin on the Jarrett. Starting the 123 Kid/Razor feud early.Razor/Roadie are fighting on the outside while Kid hits the moonsault on the Jarrett for the win. If the Kid get's the pin on the Jarrett then Razor would not have a chance to win the IC title since they are friends. Razor get's upset pushes the Kid and the Kid hits a spin wheel kick and turns heel.

WrestleMania 11
WWF Title Diesel (c) vs Shawn Michaels
Bam Bam vs Lawrence Taylor (this was a big publicity grabber for the WWF, so I accept that its on the card, but shouldnt have been the main event)
Submission Match Bret Hart vs Owen Hart w/Bob Backlund -Owen essentially cost Bret the title at Survivor Series, and interfered at the Rumble. Plus they could have had Owen play off the fact that he was 1-0 against Bret at Mania, and have Backlund as his "trainer"
IC Title Jeff Jarrett (c) vs Razor Ramon
Undertaker vs King Kong Bundy/Kama/Tatanka (pick your poison here)
Tag Titles 1-2-3 Kid and Bob Holly (c) vs Smoking Gunns
British Bulldog vs Yokozuna -Yoko could have still been brought in as Owen's partner/associate to take out his brother in law
Not sure what to do with Lex Luger....?

Great idea for a thread! This ones a bit tougher than 9, it was in the transition stage so they didnt have a really big marquee name yet. From 1-9 there was Hogan, 12-14 HBK, Hart and Undertaker, 15-19 Stone Cold, Rock, 20-28, HHH, Cena, Taker etc... I havent watch 11 in ages as well so i cant remember a lot about it at the moment. A key thing for me about Wrestlemania is to have a 4/5 star match and send the fans home happy. People hate 9 because of Hogan winning to end the show, 25 feels lacking because Orton/HHH went about their match the wrong way to end the show, 11 sucks because Bam Bam/LT ended the show. I think 11 had a solid card, doesnt need a lot of changes, the matches where good but the layout of the card was one big problem. I also think 11 didnt have that Wrestlemania feel, thats why 9 is better for me, it had that Wrestlemania feel and the arena looked awesome to me. Nothing to really be changed as 12/13 had pretty much the same set-up but they had better matches. 1) - British Bulldog vs. Owen Hart Tag team match (10:00/12:00) *They feud during the year and there was some previous altercations between the two so have a good match at Wrestlemania but have Owen win by cheating so theres a reason to continue the feud. Better opener to the show and gets the crowd going.*2) - Razor Ramon (with The 1–2–3 Kid) vs. Jeff Jarrett (c) (with The Roadie) Singles match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship (13:32) *Keep the match the same. It wasnt amazing but it serves its purpose and changing it would pretty much be for the sake of changing it when it doesnt really need it.*3) - Yokozuna (with Fuji & Jim Cornette) vs. Bob Holly Singles match (4:00) *The return of Yoko before teaming with Owen. Squash match for his big dominant return. Really not sure whether to use Backlund for this or a "jobber" like Bob Holly. This just showed me how thin the roster was in 95. I went with Bob Holly as he can do the underdog almost causing the upset moment the crowd can get behind whereas Backlund was a heel so the crowd could have gone a bit dead for this.*4) - The Undertaker (with Paul Bearer) vs. Tatanka (with Ted DiBiase & King Kong Bundy) Singles match with Larry Young as Special Guest Referee (10:00) *This is a tough one, no real great opponents for Taker here. Tatanka I feel would pull out a better match than Bundy who wasnt really a massive threat. Its a shame Crush was in jail as he'd make a good opponent for Undertaker. I though about using Yoko but the match wouldnt be too different from the Bundy one and I wanted the Taker/Million Dollar corporation feud stay.*5) - Men On A Mission (With Oscar) vs. The Smoking Gunns (c) (Billy and Bart) Tag team match for the WWF Tag Team Championship (09:42) *I was tempted to try and use Owen again and not change the match but I couldnt really find a good way to make that work in 1995. Mabel got a huge push in 95 so he should have been showcased a bit at Wrestlemania, having them turn Oscar at Wrestlemania instead of weekly TV would be a significant step in getting Mabel more recognition. Gunns retain the belt pinning Mo so Mabel doesnt loose credibility. Oscar could accidentally cost them the match which causes the attack after the match, Gunns try to make the save but Mabel lays them out making Mabel take a big step in being a believable King of the Ring winner later in the year.*6) - Bret Hart vs. Lex Luger Singles match with Roddy Piper as Special Guest Referee (10:00/15:0) *The what could have been match from last years Wrestlemania. Piper works as he was referee at WM X. Luger was on the decline so after a hard fought match, Bret wins via the sharpshooter. This could be a dark horse show stealer if both bring their A-game. I took the I Quit stipulation out as at the time the WWF werent really great at them and the Hart/Backlund match suffered for it.*7) - Lawrence Taylor vs. Bam Bam Bigelow (with Ted DiBiase) Singles match with Pat Patterson as Special Guest Referee (11:42) *LT did really good for a celeb and the match got good attention towards Wrestlemania so I'd leave this as it is. Only change is its one before the Title match as both shouldnt be headlining Wrestlemania but its in a significantly high position on the card to still feel like a big match with only the WWF championship having a higher spot.*8) - Diesel (c) (with Pamela Anderson) vs. Shawn Michaels (with Sid and Jenny McCarthy) Singles match for the WWF Championship (20:35) *This was a really good match and Diesel being the fan favourite I'd leave this alone. I'm trying not to mess with storylines too much so this can stay and the fans can go home happy after a good match and their guy wins.**The good thing about 95 is In Your House, a lot of things can be done at In Your House after Mania so King of the Ring can stay the same and the only difference in stories throughout the year is Wrestlemania time. Backlund was a hard choice to miss out, I had thought strongly of going with Backlund/Hart - Yoko/Luger but I think I got the better matches with the card i went with. Backlund was pretty much over his 5 minutes of fame after loosing in 8 seconds to Diesel, he had his big match with Bret at Survivor Series and Luger/Hart never happened in WWF (I think). He could air his presidency ad campaigns at Mania instead or have a crazy backstage segment.*This isnt a 10/10 card but I think it does a good job of standing up there better with other Manias and definitely takes it off the bottom of the list. Job done... same again for that rubbish Mania in 2001?

Awesome idea! Here is my idea then for WM 11
I would keep this all the same...
LT vs. Bam Bam Bigelow
Shawn Michaels vs. Diesel for the WWF Title
Bret Hart vs. Mr. Backlund
Undertaker vs. King Kong Bundy
Now for what I would change on the card...
Lex Luger & British Bulldog (c) vs. Owen Hart & Yokozuna for the WWF Tag Titles
I am gonna say that Lex and Davey already won the tag belts. What I would have had happen is that Tatanka and Bam Bam won the belts at the Rumble, only to lose them the following night on Raw to Davey and Luger.
Winners: Owen and Yoko as New Tag Champions
123 Kid vs. Jeff Jarrett for the IC Title
Jarrett gets a win over the Kid, having Razor do a run in. Roadie and Jarrett beat up both of them, when Savio Vega makes his debut at Wrestlemania to help out the Kid and Razor.
Winner: Jeff Jarrett still IC Champion
Razor Ramon vs. The Roadie in a grudge match from the Rumble
Razor destroys Roadie in 5 minutes, gearing up for an IC Title match at In Your House in May.
Winner: Razor Ramon
Men On A Mission vs. Smokin Gunns in a grudge match
MOM turned heel and beat up the Gunns. Same story as how it really happened, just putting it on WM.
Winners: Men On A Mission
That's all I really would change. I think that could have been a much better Wrestlemania 11 card.

I've heard a rumor for the longest time that they made the undercard of Wrestlemania 11 bad on purpose to make the L.T./Bam Bam match look better in comparison. Don't know how true it is but I could see them doing that.
I would have had Bret Hart face Jerry Lawler at that Mania. They were still feuding at the time and it would have been the perfect opportunity to give Lawler a WM match at that time.

I have looked at this now several times........and Vinces roster was so rubbish in early 95 I dunno what he could have done to improve this mess.
this is also the only WM from 1-20 I dont own on DVD.

In my opinion, having Bulldog win the rumble would have been a good start, as Bulldog vs Diesel would have been a great match.
Lex Luger vs. Tatanka with Ted Dibiase. (Summerslam rematch). Owen Hart & Jim Neidhart vs. The Smoking Guns (c). Yokozuna with Jim Cornette & Mr Fuji vs. The Undertaker with Paul Bearer In a cage match (Royal Rumble 94 rematch). Jeff Jarrett (c) with The Roadie vs. Crush. Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Lawrence Taylor. Marty Jannetty vs. Shawn Michaels. Bret Hart vs. Razor Ramon with 1-2-3 Kid. Diesel (c) vs. The British Bulldog.
Bold = winner.

Marty Jannetty wasn't even in the WWE then. Sounds like you are getting 95 and 94 mixed in together.
