He has to become more than what Santino is/was and always bloody will be. Has to. If he doesn't, WWE will never get better if throwing talent off a cliff takes priority over their pride. YES YES YES YES YES THERE IS NOTHING MORE THAT CENA HAD/HAS THAT RYDER DOESN'T YES YES YES YES HE CAN BE A STAR YES YES YES YES OH YEAH, THEY NEVER TRIED TO SABOTAGE CENA'S PROGRESSION YES YES YES I hate to break it to you, but despite both characters being pretty comedic, in real life Santino is a MUCH better WRESTLER than Zack Ryder. And maybe you missed it, but Cena recently did an interview where he said he never thought he would get to where he is because Triple H and Vince McMahon wanted to fire him but certain people stuck up for him and they gave him a chance and he proved that love him or hate him NOBODY works harder than John Cena and he might suck in the ring but nobody tries harder. Zack Ryder.....everybody in the company loves him. But there is only so much you can do with a guy who's mediocre in the ring and a TERRIBLE actor. I mean, they made him the main part of Team Johnny vs. Team Teddy at Wrestlemania.....so he's probably actually overachieving and being given way more opportunities than he should considering that he's just an awful awful actor. |

Even as someone who doesn't really like him, I think they should have just kept the US Title on him, had him defend it against other mid-carders often, win and carry on fist-pumping. That would have worked in the short term at least, what WWE have done to him is bitch him out and highlight his weaknesses.

THEY HAVE THROWN HIS MOMENTUM AWAY BY HAVING CENA "PUT HIM OVER", WHILST KANE DESTROYED HIM, CREDIBILITY DEMOLISHED SWAGGER TOOK THE BELT OFF HIM AND EVE HAS BEEN USED TO HUMILIATE HIM - FOR WHAT? NOTHING. WHEN FANS REACTED POSITIVELY TO CENA, THEY RAN WITH IT AND NEVER STOPPED EVEN WHEN THEY TURNED. John Cena is no better than Zack Ryder in any department, don't misconceive this as an agenda - naming Cena is simply because despite glaring flaws he was pushed to become a main event star. Are there better people in WWE than Zack, HELL YES. BUT he became one of the most likable faces in recent years and they threw it away for nothing. Why can't he hold the US championship and defend it against all comers and eventually be downed a while down the road. Why can't he then go on to further glory, why can't he become a main event star in the future? I'm simply stated the FACT that there is hardly any faces breaking through reaction wise, why the  would they attempt to stub out the one guy that does it, oh yeah - they didn't want it. It doesn't make any sense. |

Character-wise....Zack Ryder has no business beating guys like Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, The Miz or any of the other upper mid-carders. I'm not suggesting for one minute that Zack should be that, meybe ever but he should be more that what they are portraying him to be now, always. People like him, people relate to him and he can have good & great matches. Jericho was never put into Zack's position. Jericho had the misfortune of coming out of the richest era in wrestling to never be considerable as The MAN and he has been World champion - multiple times aswell as mulitple time IC champ and Tag champion. He is a main eventer, he got to where Zack hopes to be and where eventually he can be. Those 3, Dolph has all the tools to be the new Shawn Michaels - an absolute legend and he's the one who has put Ryder over, the other two Swagger has been completely demolished - he needs a repackage before knocking off anybody but that wasn't an issue for his title win because Kane beat Ryder for him but then he went and lost it to one-time SANTINA, Miz is on a tight-rope - nothing wrong with him beating Ryder the night after Mania except perhaps the manner - it was quick FAR FAR FAR too quick, it helps nobody. |

reminds me of daniel bryan when he was losing every week in nxt and during his time with the briefcase then he held the belt for 4 months.
