Anyone else think WWE are done with Ryder?
Just think about the 2012 he's had.
Drops the US title to Jack Swagger (who hasn't done anything in god knows how long) Got his ass kicked weekly by Kane Got his "back broken" by Kane and had to take months off. Had his love interest turn on him and say she used him and still went after her. Got pinned in a 12 man match at Wrestlemania (when they had Kofi/Khali on the team who could've been pinned instead) Then gets kicked in the balls infront of nearly 80,000 people. Then is beat cleanly by Miz on Raw the night after
All in the space of 3 months, I liked Ryder near the end of last year but it's obvious WWE doesn't give a crapabout him at this point.

His character is an underdog/jobber type character......the audience is meant to feel sorry for him, get behind him, and hope he wins, but he usually falls short. That's the point of his character. His character is meant to draw emotional support from the crowd.
This is the #1 biggest mistake of fans on the internet who feel like every wrestler should eventually win the WWE Title and if they aren't winning every match or every title that they are being held back. Not everyone should eventually be Champion or a main eventer....some guys are jobbers or midcarders and that is all they SHOULD or WILL be. And that's fine.
Look at other TV shows. Every TV show has main characters who are the focus of the show and some actors in Hollywood only get "supporting roles".
Zack Ryder has a "supporting role" in WWE.

He sells so much merch that he'll have something to do until that changes.

I thought Ryder did pretty well in the match with The Miz, it wasn't a squash and I think Ryder will continue to be on following Raw's.

They might even give him a one off WWE Championship Shot one day on a special Raw or something a bit like the Undertaker vs Jeff Hardy Match from 2002, but this is his place in the Company, and I'm sure he's delighted with where he is at this current time.

He has zero credibility right now with the way they made him look so gullible with Eve.

tbh I don't see it that bad. On nearly all SmackDown episodes in the last few weeks before WM, he was on a winning streak.

I honestly don't see the big appeal with Ryder. He's an awful promo cutter to start with, and his character is just so goofy. I wouldn't care less if he ever got released.

I'd add only that his image and catch phrases are targeted for kids as well, making him a solid merch source, without really having to promote or push him via wins, titles etc. He just gets over in a different way.

He has zero credibility right now with the way they made him look so gullible with Eve. While it is true that he has zero credibility is true, by saying he has just gotten to that point is implying that he had credibility to begin with, which is far beyond reality.

Zack's career is defined like all those other jobbers-to-the-stars (Barry Horwitz, El Dandy, Tim Horner, etc.) and that's okay.

a year ago Zack Ryder wasn't ever on RAW....ever. Not even in a cheap backstage segment.
I'd rather be on RAW having my 15 minutes in the spotlight, and losing matches...getting beat up by Kane, being "put over" by Cena.... than wrestling dark matches or the occasional Superstars match that only a few thousand people will see on the internet.

He's just like Santino. It will by cyclic with him. He will go through periods where he gets his ass kicked and then he will get a tag or midcard run. I'm not worried about Ryder, he had as much merch for sale at Mania as Cena.

So in 3 months he had more story than most other stars on wwe programming and that's wwe not giving a "crap about him"? I'd hate to think about what they think of guys like triple H who had no storylines for months on end if this is how wwe defines crap.

Well that's his role, and he has certainly gone the farthest in his career now than ever.

If we want him to get pushed again we will all have to buy the Statue of Li-bro-ty shirt and make it the #1 seller on Shopzone.

I hate how people think that if a guy isn't in the main event he is 'finished'. Although, to be fair to these people, the WWE don't do a very good job in making us care about the mid-carders anyway. No microphone time = No storyline = No reason to care = Pointless. WWE need to hire a separate team for their low-mid card so the entire product is entertaining and that EVERYONE has some degree of character development.

He has to become more than what Santino is/was and always bloody will be. Has to. If he doesn't, WWE will never get better if throwing talent off a cliff takes priority over their pride.
YES YES YES YES YES THERE IS NOTHING MORE THAT CENA HAD/HAS THAT RYDER DOESN'T YES YES YES YES HE CAN BE A STAR YES YES YES YES OH YEAH, THEY NEVER TRIED TO SABOTAGE CENA'S PROGRESSION YES YES YES
