VERY SAD KAMALA NEWS Kamala Jr. posted on Facebook that his father will have to have his right foot amputated. The surgery is scheduled for Thursday. Andrew: That means Kamala will not have any feet, his other was already amputated, he debut in 1974 and retired November 2011 due to his amputation. ________________________________ Very sad news indeed

Wow that is incredibly sad to hear to such a wrestling legend. I just hope this all turns out for the best.

I guess on a brighter note, technology has come so far so maybe some kind of prosthetic replacement could be a good option.
But still sad to hear the man has to go through this.

^ Man, you guys are seriously something else....This is a time to make stupid jokes like that?? They aren't funny in the least. I'm sorry, but I just cannot find humor when you are going through what Kamala is going through right now. That's pretty sick, if you ask me.

It's the internet, if you don't expect jokes...why are you here?

^ It shouldn't matter if it's the internet or not. There's a time and a place to make jokes. This is neither and if you think it is, then you've got something wrong with you.

Kamala was one of the best "big men" of our times. It didnt seem like he was ever going to get that push in the Big Two but I always figured he would pop up as a big champion somewhere in a decent territory. It just always seemed like he came up a foot short in his matches.

i'm truly sorry for the man...
i remember him in his intial WWF run in the early 90's - sadly, not for any specific match, but for his TNT appearance where he was gonna eat a live chicken! i can still hear Vince McMahon screaming "NO!" when Freddie Blassie told him of Kamala's plans, with him chasing the chicken around as they went to commercial...then coming back from commercial with feathers stuck all over Kamala's face!
that, and his 1992 reappearance vs the Undertaker....

It just always seemed like he came up a foot short in his matches. He was an attraction type to me as he never stuck around too long in NWA (WCW) or WWF. I think it was over money. I was really bummed he wasn't at the 1994 Royal Rumble. I always liked when he would come in to a federation only to leave shortly thereafter making me long for him to come back. He is a very nice guy and it really stinks about his health problems but I hope he is able to live well if he can get past those problems.
