CS 12 Arn Anderson was (IMO) the best Anderson made by JAKKS. I didn't care too much for the jacketed versions as it made him too slim kind of like Mattel's version. But that is a good deal for Arn! How was the condition of the packaging? Fantastic! Got it in today. Such a great figure, love the headscan. Packaging looks to be in great shape! Nice buy!

I've been going through my Classic Superstars collection and it's making me realize how much I miss collecting. I tried to get into Mattel, but it's just not the same. Were there ever plans for a Macho King figure by Jakks? It would have been nuts! Savage up until 2011 wasn't allowed to be approached for any WWE-related merchandise. Had JAKKS had two more years, I am almost positive we would've seen a CS Randy Savage.

At first I collected them. but I didn't have the same love for them as I did the regular CS figures. I eventually had all except for a few from CSDA 1, but i sold them off for a few reasons: - I didn't love them as much as the regular CS - Collected them more for habit and not so much for them specifically (hope that makes sense) - I needed more room as I started collecting carding variants of the CS figures from CS 1 - CS 7. I think some of them were cool like CSDA 2 HBK and Nash, Buff Bagwell (I wish we had gotten a regular CS figure of that attire), Kane, and a few others.

Plus there wasn't anyone made in the CSDA line that wasn't already made in the CS line. Usually a person had his CS figure made, then followed up with a CSDA figure. I think Buff Bagwell might have been the only exception. However if his CSDA figure came out first his CS figure was very shortly followed. If JAKKS decided to start up the LOTR line but in DI-style, I don't know if I'd buy them. I probably would for brand new faces not made previously in either of the CS or LOTR lines.

Anyone else think JAKKS should have made one of the figures in the CS set a HOF edition? The figure would be no different, but the packaging would be golden and would come with a HOF plaque.

That would have been a fantastic idea, even some of the more recent inductees in their tux's. I also think we would have gotten some new faces too. But I like this idea better than the LJN-style figures, which were cool, but they took up room where a rookie CS figure could have gone.

Thought I'd bump this so we could start using it again.
I have a couple questions to start us off with. I just got the 1/100 sgt slaughter, as I posted in its thread, but I was wondering what the deal is. The one I got has the 1/100 stamp on the figures leg but I've seen some without it. I realise the 1/20 doesn't have one, but I've seen a 1/100 without the stamp. Was some 1/20 released by accident in 1/100 packaging?
Also, I believe I've asked this before but didn't get a definitive answer.
The specialist shop I used to go to, there was a guy that worked in it who claimed to have a set of series 1 where each figure had a photo on the side of the carding same as triple h and Shawn. Now I've never heard if that but he said they indeed existed and my friend ha claimed to have seen them. I don't believe it, but it wanted to be sure.

From what I heard, here is what happened with the Slaughters. The 1st 100 that they sent to Toyfare, most of them got crushed and sent back. And the first ones had no leg stamp. They remade a second batch that had leg stamps and sent them to toyfare.
There was the 1/100 with leg stamp. 1/100 - no leg stamp. Jeremy said there were about 10 of these. 1/20 - no leg stamp.
I have NEVER seen anyone outside of HBK & HHH with CS carding that has a real picture of them on the side. That doesn't mean they don't exist, but in all the years I've been collecting, I have yet to see them.

I have the chance to get a 1/20 slaughter for £400, is that a good deal? It seems to a fair price especially for a 1/20 going on what the others (warriors, piper and flair) go for. Should I jump?

I've heard a lot of different things for various figures throughout the CS line and unless its been seen or seen by someone creditable, its probably BS. How much is 400 pounds converted to US dollars?

Terry funk 1/100's my next target, also gonna try and track down a 1/100 piper vinyl tha isn't way overpriced. How you doing with your collection?

Kind of depends on the conditioning of the carding, but its still a 1/20. Collecting is kind of a stand-still right now. The only remaining CS figures I need are odd balls and 1/100s so its going to be pricy for the next ones I buy. I recently re-did my downstairs (basement) and I changed up my collection display. Waiting to find a display case for a lot of my prototypes and test shots before I post some updated pictures.

I've Recieved two 1/100's from the guy in the past week & the slaughter is the best conditioned classic I've ever owned. It's weird, I wanted to get as many classics as I could and was buying even the cheapest ones up but I just didn't have the space and ended up selling them. I still have the "rarer" ones left from the retail line like Yoko, warrior and bret. My focus right now is completing the 1/100 line. I need 3 classics (hogan, warrior & funk) and the deluxe piper, along with pipers vinyl and hornswoggle. The hogan & warrior are gonna be really expensive but I'm hoping to own them one day.
