Of all the CS figures that were shown but never released, Sandman, Mulligan & Skaaland were ones I would have loved. Towards the end I didn't so much care about re-paints, but seeing how many new faces the CS line could produce.

I came very close to owning both of those LJN-style figures. One I was out bid on and the other was sold a few hours before I could reply to an email.

I was trying to get that Scott Steiner from the same seller on eBay but it ended while I was away. I'm wondering if I'll see the other prototypes I know to exist pop up soon.. I'm hoping so!

New faces no. But I do have several of the released CS figures in prototype form (MVP, Sunny, etc). I do have the original CS 13 UNdertaker LJN-style figure, which is obviously different then the one released. I'll see if I can find my old thread I made.

I'm actually gutted we never got hat orton, looks incredibly detailed tattoo wise. I'm a little annoyed we never got more classic faces as Ljn, like bret, hogan etc.

Better than the CS 28 Rey. I know a lot of people didn't like the LJN-style figures and I would include emyself in that group if I was told these figures took a spot away from someone that never got a CS figure (Sandman, Mulligan, Skaaland, Slick, etc). But I would have rather JAKKS had done LJN-style figures of people that were supposed to have been in the last LJN set (Smash, Barbarian, Bad News, etc) as well as classic guys like Road Warriors, Yokozuna, Razor Ramon, etc. I know most of the first CS LJN-style figures were great choices (UT, Rock, Austin, HBK, Flair), but guys like Rey, RVD, Hardy Boys, just didn't cut it with me.

The matt hardy Ljn has to be a contender for worst in the entire series,in all honesty. And what a waste of a spot, even though it was the last series, that brown Rey was. Why release it twice? This may sound silly to some, but I always thought it would be a good idea if they'd done classic Ljn's as a separate series. Like the classic deluxe sets. That way we could have got some classic guys like Yoko and demolition. I'd have love to have seen them do the road warriors, especially a spikes on version. I love some of the Ljn's that were produced (taker & trish epecially) but doing guys like the Hardys & John cena in their current attire is a slap in the face to collectors that are hoping for new faces in a "classic" line.

Yeah even if the LJN-style figures stayed, Matt & Jeff Hardy, RVD, Cena and both Reys were space-wasters. I would have preferred more classic/legend names instead. Or even new faces of RA-style figures. I know I was and probably still am in the minority on this one, but I did in fact want a debut attire John Cena in the CS line.

I can't say yes or no to the cena, mainly because we got a debut cena in Series 1 ruthless aggression line. If we did get a cena, I'd have preferred it though to that Ljn.
The only figure I really wanted when the classic line was born, was debut Kane and 2001 era Kane. We got 1, but I wouldn't class that half mask abomination as a decent debut Kane.

With regards to Cena in his debut attire, I just know that years from now, people will look at the faces made in the CS (& probably the LOTR) as a whole. Cena without a doubt is the face of company right now and has been for several years. I know a Dr. of Thuganomics Cena would have been cool to see, but realistically a debut Cena would be more appropriate for the CS line. Yeah that half mask "debut" Kane was awful. Attire wise I think it was good, but the mask ruined it. the 2001-era Kane (singlet top) was also a big favorite of mine. I wish the CS 18 Kane had come with the hardcore title, but that is probably my favorite Kane from JAKKS.

Had the debut Kane had the correct mask it would have been up there. That would have been the perfect set. Well, minus 9 foot Paul bearer. The best Jakks Kane no doubt was the RA series 5 Kane, in 2002-2003 gear.

I much prefer the RA over the huge deluxe one they produced in the line. I know the Eddie is a repaint of classic 7 but I much preferred the white attire.

In fact the Rey I want to own for my collection is the ECW one, which I felt was highly underrated as a figure.

I think the R3 Kanes are the best Kane figures that Jakks made.

Classis Superstars was the best line Jakks ever did.
