David Otunga was on camera backstage. Otunga said due to the new rules of the brand split, he will not be able to help
John Laurinaitis on
Raw and John made himself exclusive to
Raw to follow his own policy. So Mr. Laurinaitis made Otunga the 'executive consultant' of
SmackDown. Meaning David Otunga will carry out the regime of people power on Friday nights. Otunga then promised that he will make
SmackDown just as exciting as
Raw and more exciting than it ever was under
Teddy Long's power. Otunga then said the main event of tonight's show will feature
Randy Orton and
Daniel Bryan going one-on-one to determine the number one contender. Plus,
Christian will host the Peep Show featuring
Sheamus and
Alberto Del RioCody Rhodes vs
Brodus Clay[/b][/color]
Cody Rhodes was rather unimpressed with the over-the-top, flashy entrance of Clay. The Funkasaurus, looking to leave his colossal footprint on SmackDown, starts the match by pushing Rhodes and yelling "my bad". The infuriated Rhodes to the point where he slapped the big man. Clay pushed Rhodes into the top right corner and started clobbering him. Rhodes eventually is able to get himself out and the two men start traded fists to the face in the middle of the ring. Rhodes is able to score a good punch on Brodus Clay leaving him dazed for a bit. Rhodes quickly goes for a beautiful disaster. Brodus is still standing but staggered. Rhodes goes for two more disaster kicks which eventually topples the giant. 1, 2, 3! Rhodes makes relatively short work of the Funkasaurus.[/color]

Cody RhodesRhodes wasn't done however, Rhodes picked Clay up to his feet and delivered a devastating cross rhodes. Afterwards, he stood triumphant, admiring his work.
After the match a video played hyping a man by the name of
Kassius Ohno. The video featured the bearded man walking through an empty boxing gym, talking about how he loves to knock people out. He said there is no more decisive victory than to make your opponent lose consciousness. Ohno rolled up the sleeve on his warm up jacket to show his elbow. He said wrestlers across the world have been knocked out by his elbow. Now it's time for the WWE to be KO'd.

This match is to continue the series between Kidd and Hunico, this time each man was able to choose a tag partner on the
SmackDown roster. Kidd and Hunico started out with some technical wrestling but Drew McIntyre was tagged in soon and he had his fair share of domination on Tyson Kidd. He tagged Hunico back in while Kidd tagged in the fresh Justin Gabriel. Gabriel was able to nail the 450 splash on Hunico but only for a two count. Hunico tagged in McIntyre and McIntyre slugged it out on Gabriel. Drew hit a future shock DDT on Gabriel for a 2 count. Drew then hit a superplex. Kidd and Hunico called for a hot tag. They both came in swinging at each other. Hunico went for a running hurricanrana but it was reverse into the leg trap triangle choke. Hunico taps!

The Miz[/b] is in the middle of the ring and he asks for a mic. Miz makes an open challenge to anyone on the
SmackDown roster. He is answered by none other than the returning
Sin Cara. Sin Cara does his signature jump into the ring and nails Miz with a beautiful hurricanrana. Miz retreats to the corner and Sin Cara signals him to bring it.

The Miz takes Sin Cara down to the floor with a snapmare and locks in a headlock. The Miz spends the beginning of the match trying to ground Sin Cara, to take away his aerial offense. Sin Cara is eventually able to gain some momentum and hits a nice tilt-a-whirl small package for a two count. Miz counters the pin and grabs the tights. 1, 2, 3! Miz cheats his way out of this one.

Santino kicks the match off with a snap suplex. He nails Swagger with 3 clotheslines as he is getting up. Goes for the cover. 1, 2, no! This is the first time Santino is wrestling on Friday Nights and the first US title defense too. Swagger goes for a single leg takedown and locks Santino's head. Santino breaks out and clotheslines Swagger out of the ring. Santino does his salute and dives out of the ring onto Swagger. He gets up quickly and shouts to show his dominance. He sends Swagger into the ring and signals for the cobra. He hits it. 1, 2, 3!

Alberto Del Rio[/b]. Del Rio said that he is cashing in the World title match he earned at Over The Limit. Sheamus didn't hesitate to nail him with a brogue kick and then nailed Christian with one for good measure.
Daniel Bryan vs

The match starts with a vicious clothesline from Orton, followed by another one. Bryan gets up and unleashes a flurry of kicks of Orton. Orton catches one and tosses Bryan out of the ring. Orton starts getting in the zone as he starts assaulting Bryan. By the 5 count, he whips Bryan into the steel steps. By the 7 count, Orton begins stomping all over Bryan. As the referee approaches 9, Bryan slides the ring just before 10.

Bryan starts his "YES" chant while his music plays. Orton is furious he goes in the ring and stalks Bryan for an RKO. He stands over Bryan's body staring intently.[/center]
