Because he joined TNA wrestling before his Mattel figure was released. And Jakks can't make a TNA version because he signed a deal with Mattel.
So Flair is in figure limbo so to speak.

The MDT has a bunch of different Flairs and Hogans in their offices that they can't wait to release to us.

simply put, Ric Flair is under contract with TNA wrestling. Therefore he cannot be produced by the WWE figure making company. Now, as to why Jakks hasn't made a Deluxe Impact Ric Flair? No friggin clue...he should have easily been in the first Legends series...or at least a Legend in the DI series.

No friggin clue...he should have easily been in the first Legends series...or at least a Legend in the DI series. He signed a merchandise contract with WWE/Mattel before joining TNA. So they own the rights to reproduce his stuff which keeps TNA/Jakks from doing it. Its kinda like the red/yellow traditional Hulkamania shirts. The rights to them I believe are signed over to WWE so they can make them anytime but TNA isnt.

I would like a Mattel Flair to get my Husband for Father's day or Birthday. My son got him the retirement one last year for Father's day and he loved it.

I read Flair might be coming back to the WWE in 2013 in some function. (Hopefully non-wrestling) So maybe then we'll see the EG figure they had planned for him release as some sort of Flashback or maybe a RSC exclusive.

We need to wait for him to leave TNA (1-4 Years) then another six months for them to announce it and then another 2 months for it to be released. Mattel's contract will have finished by then.
