Just had some free time and it was on tv, so I thought I'd give it a watch, I was actually gonna watch it later tonight
Anyway I've heard nothing but bad things about this film, and I don't know if that had lower my expectations going into the film but I really enjoyed this film, I was shocked at how much I liked it, as I don't normally like films like this.
Loved the visual and special effects in this film, think it would've looked amazing in the cinema, thought the actresses worked well together, very interesting story really hooked me from the beginning
The soundtrack was amazing, i loved every song they played in the film, I think it really suited the film, gonna go on youtube and listen to some of the songs again haha
I was actually shocked that the film was a 12a (PG13 in america im guessing) I thought it should've been atleast a 15 or 18 at a push due to the content.
Thoroughly enjoyed it, love when a good film surprises me like that
What did you guys think of Sucker Punch?

I wanted to watch it but it was never at redbox. And then when I tried to buy it I couldnt find it anywhere.

Super is a PHENOMENAL movie and I couldn't recommend it enough! It's a lot like Kick-Ass (which was written AFTER Super was), but it is much darker.
Onto the topic at hand, I personally LOVE Sucker Punch, and it seems most people either fall in with me, or they absolutely hated it. I give the girls in the movie all the credit in the world for all of the training they went through for their roles in the film.
I went into the movie as well with incredibly low expectations, but I understood the story (which a lot of folks never got), and while the story itself wasn't anything mindblowing, the action sequences, Snyder's directorial style, the effects, and the environments were all fantastic.
And I agree, the Soundtrack was incredible.
--Weird this was posted today, I actually JUST preordered the Hot Toys Baby Doll 1/6 scale figure from spamS this morning.

I've yet to find a problem with ANY movie Zack Snyder has done, including Sucker Punch.
He's got a very unique style, and Sucker Punch was basically his baby. AMAZING soundtrack, sleek visuals, and hot chicks.... what more could you ask for?
I watched it on HBO, then went out the next day and bought the Extended Edition Blu Ray, that's how much I enjoyed it.
I recommend checking out the extended edition to anybody who hasn't yet!

Whats added in the extended edition? A dance scene, the battle at the Castle with the Orks is longer, Sweet Pea uses her sword, a "love" scene with Baby Doll and the "High Roller" that was cut to keep it from an R rating (which was goofy because it's incredibly tame)... and I think that's it. Anyone pick of the Art of the Movie book? I have it, it's AWESOME! It got EXTREMELY expensive on the secondary market, and went into a second printing, sold out again (as far as I know), and is back to being pricey. www.amazon.com/Sucker-Punch-Movie-Zack-Snyder/dp/1848568533/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1334600271&sr=8-2

I watched it and couldn't get over how hokey it is. I think Zack Snyder tries to hard with the art in his movies. It never works for me.

I've yet to find a problem with ANY movie Zack Snyder has done, including Sucker Punch. Ok, ok, it's not GREAT, but it's a kids movie, and it isn't completely terrible either. I meant that more toward his live action stuff, which he gets a crapload of flack for; personally, I can't wait to see how he handles Superman!

First time I watched it I loved it. Couldn't wait for it to come out on DVD. Watched it again and it was meh. Zack Snyder is one of my favorites, and the action sequences and visual effects were outstanding, but after my second viewing, I really noticed how awful the story was. Like I said, the rest of the movie was great, just didn't find the story that spectacular.

I thought it was really cool. I like Snyder's style and Sucker Punch was like one big Music Video.

LtD73, I am a big fan of Sucker Punch. I've seen it about 6 times already and each time I come up with different theories about the movie. I like the action sequences and I felt the story was very well done. I liked the cast and felt they all blended very well together. My personal favorite character is Sweet Pea. Definitely a favorite of mine.
Also, Super is one of the most amazing movies I've ever seen. I love how dark it is. My favorite actress is in the movie (Ellen Page) and Rainn Wilson is great in this one. I also am a huge fan of Kick-Ass (particularly Chloe Moretz who plays Hit-Girl)-she was also great in Let Me In if you guys haven't seen that. I also am looking forward to her new movie Hick which is basically Shameless meets Lolita-I'm reading the book now and its going to be intense. I am a huge fan of everything mentioned in this thread.

I thought the battle with the steam-powered Nazi zombies was the best one in the film, particularly because of Blondie (Hudgens) involvement. I honestly wish she was featured MORE in the ground combat scenes than anyone else. Also, Amber's mech suit in that scene was bloody ing awesome!

I liked this movie, is great on Blu-Ray, got the story and loved the visuals, cinematography and directing style, not to mention the soundtrack.
Oh, and the girls are great in this too.

Awful film, completely lacking a coherent plot, filled with bad acting, and boring action sequences. Absolutely nothing about this movie made a lick of sense. For once the critics got it right with this one.
