The last point I want to make about Mattel if you'll bear with me is this: Today I received an Elite Daniel Bryan, I stood him up next to a Jakks Sgt Slaughter and Sarge towers over the Mattel figure.
Now I'm all for correct scale and all that business but Mattel start their figures at way too small a 'base'. Some say Jakks figures were 'too bulky' but no one was saying this before mattel came along.
I guess my point is..Couldn't Mattel take the Jakks rough guideline of a CS or RA figure and just apply their vision of the correct height/build/attire for each figure?
Why feel the need to 're-invent the wheel' and produce these overall smaller and weedier looking figures?
That is my overall frustration with the Mattel line - they have to be covered up with jackets or t-shirts or robes in order for them to look halfway 'in scale' with the Jakks figures.
Anyway, I just had to try and explain my overall frustrations as a collector - as someone who's completed the CS collection and has every wrestler made by Jakks (again not every single figure, just every wrestler).
It's just my opinion and it's just my preference but that's where we are so there's not much to be done about it.
Thanks for reading.

mattel isnt jakks, they were original and came up with their own right scale and did it to perfection.

I agree that Mattel should have used Jakks scale as a base, instead of being just a hair smaller. It would have resulted in more figures sold, and I'd likely have replaced my Jakks versions of Cena, Edge, Taker, and all the usual suspects with Elites.
LIKEWISE, I think Jakks engaged in some shady business by making the TNA line DA and way BIGGER than the RAs. If the TNA figures were DA articulation, but in scale with old RAs (or even Mattels), I think they'd have found that they sold MUCH better.
All in all.. the slight smallness of the Mattels or the slight largeness of the DAs isn't so horrible that I won't buy the folks that don't have RAs. Bryan, Beer Money, Tatsu, Primo, Sheamus, McIntrye, Steamboat, Gabriel, Otunga, Kazarian, the Bella Twins, Eve, Skip, Slater, Barrett, Young, Tarver, Jarrett, AJ, Sting, Madison, Velvet, Angelina, Raven, Taylor, Shark Boy, Wolfe, and everyone else that's a "new" release are all in my collection) .. and I even have a few updated Mattels (Bret, Vickie, Ryder), to account for new gimmicks, or in some cases better figures.
It WOULD be nice, however, if James Storm, Daniel Bryan, and Mark Jindrak all shared the same scale characteristics...
