PWInsider.com is reporting that several WWE sources have informed them Edge's contract with WWE will expire on May 1, 2012.
This would allow for the Hall of Famer to appear for any professional wrestling organization in any capacity. Edge's in-ring career is over due to injure but the contract news is surprising because of his recent induction to WWE's Hall of Fame and the company typically keeps major retires stars under some contract such as Stone Cold Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels

He won't go to TNA. He has stated he doesn't even watch wrestling anymore and that, that chapter of his life is over. Plus, I think he's smart enough to know that if he did want to do something wrestling related, he would do in the WWE and not that horrible excuse for a company that is TNA.

I think it would be cool if Edge went to TNA and played the General Manager role. I doubt he would considering he's been a WWE Guy since his career started and he's said that he likes being retired.

not a chance in HELL Edge goes anywhere near TNA there is absolute ZERO reason for him to do so....WWE will sign him to the same kind of deal they have with Austin, the contract that expires with Edge is a wrestling contract, you know...for a wrestler. Edge is retired.

These ing dirt sheets make me laugh. Yes his contract is set to expire the beginning of May but apparently these morons take that as being absolute and that he is for sure leaving the WWE. Umm... Where does it say that Edge won't be resigning his contract? It doesn't and he may already have his mind set on resigning, or he may not, we don't know but these ing geniuses apparently come up with their own assumptions just to make seem more newsworthy. Contracts expire all the time, no matter who you are, that's not any bit of news. Whether the Superstar plans on resigning the contract is a different story. People that make a living writing these bullsh*t dirt sheet reports have got to be the most useless human beings on the planet.

I surmise Edge will sign a Legends deal to continue to have merchandise, figures, etc. to be made. If those deals require appearance making or any type of WWE PR....then I doubt he does sign anything and will remain away from it all until he is ready or wants to be apart of it again.

This is intriguing for feds that want to bring him in fro an appearance, but other than that, it's not really news... He's not going to TNA.

I figured he would be a GM or something one day, but it seems like hes done with wrestling for good now that its all set in. Who knows though. I'm sure Christian will go to the HOF one day in the future. We will definitely see him then.

I dont think he'd go anywhere, he loves wrestling but unfortunately hes retired for a reason. I think he stays away from wrestling because it would eat at him being around it and not being able to do it. I think this is why JBL came back when commentating as well.

Ha I don't think i could ever see Edge in TNA as the WWE has been too good to him, so he will most like just sign a legends contract

Edge said if he's not wrestling, he doesn't want to do anything else such as a manager, commentator, general manager etc.

I would really like to see him get a Legends contract, simply so he could still be marketed and have some involvement with the company. But at the same time, I can't blame the guy if he just wants to completely move on with all things considered.

The day Edge goes to TNA, will be the same day the WWE gets rid of John Cena.......not likely.
