I Think the hair wash is Perfect , except above the forhead should be thinned out, the dark line under the hair, otherwise its great. the facial hair should be a little lighter but really good job. i like this better than mattels effort @ facial hair
This may not be perfect but DDP had dark facial hair, and had dark hair roots under his bleached hair, Not Ginger Facial hair and eyebrows , so good work mikey

But on a serious note, Mikey, I really dont mean to be a prick. Just trying to help. Go with a light paint wash. I actually agree. It looks like he has dirt in his hair instead of darker roots. Again not having a go but I think you could improve on your work more. Congrats on been the 1st one on here to attempt this. I've been waiting for ages for someone to do this but people who have theres say it looks better than in pics. |

Makes me jealous  Really want that DDP but my Andre took nearly 5 weeks to get here to UK shores and for me that was too long, so might have to eBay DDP sometime soon. |

Nice fix up, the wash could have been a little smoother, but since you said your aren't much of a customizer I have to tip my hat to you having the grape fruits to attempt this, and I would say that it was a success. Lord knows I literally "ruined" figures doing custom work, but I got better through time. If this is your early work, I can't wait to see what your stuff looks like a year from now.

I don't understand the hate that people have for that hair strand. The man has stringy blonde hair. A strand going out of place is not that unusual and I think it adds to the figure but I must be alone in that opinion.
I like the darkened facial hair and sideburns. They really made the figure look better. When you see the figure on card and you see that picture of DDP with blatantly dark hair it makes you wonder how they decided to give him ginger facial hair. It looks off and I am glad you changed that.
I do not like the hair wash. While I do understand the attempt and I know the figure would look great with dirty blond hair your wash looks like he has been bathing literally in dirt and I just want to wash your figures hair.
Overall your figure does look alot better than the normal version. Good job!

I'm scared of altering this figure but will do.
It's the facial I'm worried about.
The darker wash I think I'll be able to handle.
I won't be cutting the strand for the reasons cocacolabottle mentioned.

To be honest, I saw the pics without reading it and then thought "Well I might buy DDP, it looks cool". Then I noticed it was custom work done on it. If only Mattel had done it like that.

Wow that's a great custom DDP, I like the headscan Diamond came with.
The attire I though personally looks great along with the details of the
tattoos and the championship which was a nice little thing to throw in
there. Thanks for sharing, very nice Mikey.

Ouch! #1, either remove the bottom layer of paint, then repaint, or make sure while painting you cover the entire original surface. Next, #2, go lighter. WAAAAAAAAAAYYY lighter. Add black to a little brown.
*Edit* I just saw the outdoor pics. It looks better than I thought. The facial hair is a bit dark, but the back of the hair looks good.
