Few clips I've seen of the guy, he'll say one thing to someones face and then turn around and be an absolute two sided jack ass about it. If you're going to lie about one thing, why should I expect him to be truthful about something else. In addition this is a guy who talks about being respectful and such and how Chael's bad for the sport. The guy is a hypocrite, people call Jon Jones fake but I say Anderson Silva's shown to be just as or if not more fake than him.
Anyway this isn't about Bones so I'll keep off that subject for another time. I've just came across a few things from articles, youtube clips and just generally what I've seen from his attitude that makes me just think he is a liar and a fake. Though that being said I'm more than happy to be exposed to a new point of view, what is Like Water?

It's basically a documentary of the events leading up to the first fight.
Not too sure what you're talking about him being a hypocrite. He's never lashed out on anyone like Chael has on him.

Something seems extremely off about the whole build-up to this fight...
Anderson talking trash...
Chael not talking as much trash as he usually does...and when he does happen to cut a WWE-ESQUE interview..he seems almost uncomfortable to even be saying the stuff he is saying...
So is Chael so focused that he has decided to cut down on the trash talk or does he realize that before the PED'S he was a mid-tier middleweight, at best...
Is Anderson so pissed off that he will look like a killer...
or will he try to go out there and taunt Sonnen like he did in the Maia fight for a lopsided and very boring decision win..
OR is Anderson so wrapped up in this fight, emotionally, that he performs under what people expect from him...and LOSES a decision to Sonnen.
so many variables going into this fight. But I am going to go with Anderson...how Sonnen performed against Bisping was not all that impressive, imo. I hate Bisping and I actually think he won that fight.
I think Anderson is going to get into Chaels face and open up with strikes early on. Sonnen will land a takedown with 2 minutes left in the round but Anderson will pop back up and ride the rest of the round out...
Round two Anderson will land some strikes and ultimately tko Sonnen by the 3 minute mark..

He has been very two sided about a variety of people in the MMA community depending on what crowd he is around, in addition to that he has disrespected the fans and his opponents on fight night by constant clowning and stupidity. So when I say he is a hypocrite, I was more referring to him talking about how Chael is bad for the sport, when he is just as bad with some of the stuff he has pulled.
Hope I made more sense now James, my bad for not being clear, long day at work.
And anywhere I can check the documentary out?

a lot of fighters taunt during a fight....I actually prefer that fighters do their taunting during a fight and back it up (i.e. Nick Diaz, Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva, Rashad Evans, etc) as opposed to a fighter who does months of trash talk and doesn't deliver...

I don't want to get into a whole Condit/Diaz arguement but Nick won that fight in my eyes...
you don't win a fight with glancing blows and moving backwards the whole fight.
and as far as Rashad goes...yeah he got picked a part...but he did at least make it out of the fight without being subbed or KO'd...I thought that was somewhat impressive since I think he has a weak chin.

I'm not disagreeing with either point, but it's unfair to dog Sonnen for trash talking and "failing to back it up" then praising two guys who both did the same exact thing (Rashad especially) only to get also lose their fights. Man I can't  ing wait for Saturday. I know it' dramatic to say, but I literally, genuinely wish I could speed up time... |
