Terrible news. He was a hell of a player, and always seemed like a great, smart guy.
But towards the end of his career, and the last few years, he really did seem like a changed person, and different. I won't presume to know why, but it's sad to see him take his own life for any reason.

Miller was struck by lightning? And he was on the Chargers? Freaky.

It is worth noting though that he is not a Hall of Famer, or even yet eligible to be one, though he almost certainly will be.

I wonder if his brain was all messed up from football and he did not know what he was doing when he killed himself. I guess they are going to study his brain and find out. At least he did not take anyone with him like Benoit.

This seemed quiet likely, he was fully capable of not doing what he did. Regardless, its a tragedy to lose such a great guy, incredible player to. Rest In peace.

Yeah but football-related injuries can cause depression and make you feel like there isn't any other choice. He wasn't of sound mine in any form, no matter how you spin it.

Yes if someone turns their own lights off they are not well. I know people that have done it and none of them were well adjusted people.
