Just a quick thought, you have to wonder if the FlexForce Light up figures are boosting sales of Elites.
At my Wal-mart the only FF figures are the light up ones and it is very rare they stock basics.
A kid might say to his mother "I want the Cody Rhodes with the mask (E13)" She sees it priced at $17 and thinks "Yikes" then she looks over at the FF Light up figures and they too are $17... May as well get him the E13 Cody. I am not saying this is what happens in every situation since 2 packs at my Walmart are $18.88 and a parent will buy their kid 2 figures for just a dollar more but again 2 packs are seldom instock at my WM.

to be honest, if the packaging was similar to basics or elites, or even a new style of packaging i'd buy them.
i have the 3 champions sets and i really like them. some of the newer ones have been not bad. christian, rock, del rio and even wade barrett.
the america sheamus would be a must buy for me if it wasnt in the open packaging, sorry mattel.

Not a fan at all. They just look weird. If they looked like basics and had flexforce moves, maybe.

Yeah I find they look like crap on display, and yeah the packaging is awful too.

I know that they sold pretty well at first, but I think the now much higher price point is making them shelf warm everywhere I go. Between Walmart putting such a focus on getting the lightning figures out and sticking signage out to emphasize them being new, and Signature Series 2, and the 6 or so E13 Reys that the store near my house isn't going to have any new figures any time soon.
I agree that out of touch parents construe lights and sounds with deluxe and probably don't understand that a solid figure like an elite is much more deluxe than a cheaply painted piece of sh*t whose leg glows red when he spring-kicks something and yells "AAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHH!"

I hate flex force and so does my nephew. He likes basics, but elites are his favourite because "They are more realer and go in the ring with clothes like in real life and they can move their back and legs like people can"
