Surprised that more people aren't bothered by this. I hate the new presentation... I have ever since HD was introduced. Way too glitzy, glossy, almost sickening at how "clean" everything is.
I miss 2005 and back.

As a Theatre major who has worked with lighting a stage... thank GOD for LED lights! Seriously, so much easier to work with. Personally, I like the lighting. I do miss the personal touches, but its not that big a deal.

They probably do this to disguise the black sheets they have hanging from the rafters and over the seats that aren't sold for TV shows. I notice whenever I go to Raw's in Buffalo, they have more regular lights on than the red lights because they usually sell out. When I go to any TV taping in Rochester, they are heavy on the colored lights because they don't draw as good there.

Wish they would get rid of the hd stage. I think it takes away from every show. Stages used to be unique as hell. I agree. It seemed to be rare as to have the same design used twice before the 2008 HD Change. I liked it when every event had a different stage design. Now its the same thing over and over again -_-

Yes this has something Ive been drawn to for quite a while now. As things are gradually introduced you accept and dont notice them as much but when I watch vintage collection and such it really stands out. I think the lighting, while is a cool way to differentiate shows (given the ropes and form of the stage dont anymore), it can drown out the crowd a bit.

The ropes have never bothered me, I don't really notice the colour of them until someone points it out... (Usually when Sheamus is in the ring..)
Red would be nice to go back too though, but it might draw focus away from the match.

How could anyone hate the HD stage? It's massive, it has a huge screeen, it's incredible looking. Gives the show such an awesome feel. it's not 1999 anymore.
the white ropes look better because they DONT blend in, the way black or red would. especially with the lighting change. the dark backround lighting puts more focus on the ring and looks waaaay better in HD
they don't do two stages anymore because it's not necessary. saves them trucks, transportation, its easier for the set up crew. takes less time. plus the HD stage is just awesome.

Vengeance last year had somewhat of a old feel to it as there wasn't as much lighting. It sure did. I thought the set-up looked great and the atmosphere rocked. Kinshasa, lol that's not what I'm saying.
