The WWE website has begun hyping the 1,000th edition of Monday Night Raw, which will take place on July 23rd. The website will be featuring memorable moments from Raw superstars of today and yesterday.
Interestingly, July 23rd will actually be the 999th edition of Raw, so it's odd that WWE is choosing to celebrate the 7/23 show as the 1,000th episode.

Just counted, that Raw will be the 1,000th episode, not the 999th.

Are they just going by date? or by actual episodes?
what about taped RAWs that aired on other nights? like "Thursday RAW Thursday"
or a Tribute to the Troops show that aired in place of RAW
crazy to think its been going on this long. most say Vince's greatest creation was Wrestlemania...but RAW, man....it's changed the course of wrestling FOREVER.
