ELITE 16 PROTOS!

CM Punk is awesome! But no WWE-Championship??
Diesel looks more like a toybiz figure ...but I think he will look better when we see other pics. So, I will not buy him.
Slater is also a great fig. The ladder is really impressive. But I will not buy him either.

And I'm disappointed with that Rock! The goatee does not look so good. Aswell as the shirts!
Zeke looks good. But nothing for me. Will also not buy him.

now that i look at it again, why is punk's shirt the size of a dress? too long.

I will be picking up Slater, Diesel, & Nash(wait's to see pics).

The scan does not look like Zeke .
The Diesel figure is good. The Logo needs to be bigger and the head just does not look right. It looks like some kid used a sharpee for Rock's goatee.

But not horrible and doofy enough to stop RSC from using them and splashing watermarks all over them?

My first impressions. I will remain open minded till i see them in person tho.


DIESEL
Pros-- Gr8 looking vest and pants mold. I think I like the tats
Cons-- Face looks off to me. Using Kane's gloved hand instead of a new gloved fist mold. The "diesel" font is tiny. There should be more paint (black on the sides of singlet or silver decos on pants). Molding the body in silver and painting the skin (skin tone doesnt match). Using that same tiny body singlet torso. Why no elbow pad?


EZEKIEL JACKSON
Pros-- The whole body just looks perfect. Updated attire looks good.
Cons-- Pretty certain he had hair when he debuted that attire. I dont mind a smiling head scan, but I wish it was straight.....not like a side mouthed smile.


THE ROCK
Cons-- Jet Black permanent marker goatee. I've seen better molded goatees in the fix-up thread. Wrong knee pads. Trunk designs shouldn't be silver (should be gray). 2 inaccurate shirts he didn't wear??


RANDY ORTON
Pros-- Tattoos might be the best version yet. I like the green trunk design (even though i would prefer the olive green). Shirt logo looks siccck.
Cons-- The color of the eyebrows and soul patch area being auburn. Again I have to do a knee pad swap (Why can't they put correct knee pads on ppl. They have them...they just refuse to use them)


HEATH SLATER (I LUV THIS FIG)
Pros-- The hair, tats and paint decos all accurate. Awesome huge ladder
Cons-- Wish the face had more personality. I'd prefer the first head scan w/ shorter hair. I know its long dead, but he was in The Corre when he wore this attire....give me Corre shirt so i don't have to find them on
classifieds/ebay.


CM PUNK
Pros-- We get the Chicago Flag attire he debuted @ MITB. Paint decos look vibrant and well done. I like the tattoos.
Cons-- Too similar to Elite 11. Would've preferred white/red Summerslam 2011 attire. Still not sold on this headscan. The hair is fine but i dislike the deadpan look on his face. No character in his expression. The shirt doesn't look as good as the custom ones i've seen. Shiny material choice...ugh. The black paint on it looks like nail polish. I dont really like the plastic shirts but if ur doing them to have back logos...This was the shirt to do it on. Mixing cloth shirts and plastic in the same wave just looks odd. Pick one or the other. Stop using those knee pads for Punk already.

Elite 16 ...E.Jackson has the same face as R-TRUTH FIGURE.

MATTEL IS GETTING CHEAP .... AND POOR QUALITY ON FIGURE LIKENESS AND RAISING PRICES!!!

I WILL PASS ON ELITE SERIES 16.

I agree with the majority on several of the issues of Elite 16. I had really been waiting for protos, even though I assumed we'd see MOCs before anything else, for some time and was bummed that after pre-ordering two NWO Savages that I would have to hold off a bit on these. Now I'm glad I did.

Diesel looks wonderful. The vest detail is superb, as is the face mold/scan. The attire choice is the one I wanted specifically, since we already have an all black Diesel thanks to Jakks' Classic line. I would like to see an elbow pad, and I think the pants' tassles could use some highlights of some kind... maybe there was no silver/grey on those pants, but surely the tassles themselves were shiny. Adding gloss to them (Like Kane's boots) would have given the attire depth.

Big Zeke looks great. Some have complained about the accessory choice. I think its simplicity is appropriate given the new tooling this figure required. Spot on.

Slater is a dead-ringer. Details look great and an awesome new accessory.

Orton is exactly what you'd expect an Orton to be. Plain. Simple. Boring. Its all of those, which makes it a good likeness.

Punk is precisely what I hoped Mattel would decide against. As everyone else has said, the attire is SO close to Elite 11 that I fail to understand why it is at all necessary. I realize that up until, and even sporadically after the release of Elite 11 everybody was demanding a MITB attire Punk. Mattel released an ALMOST TOTALLY IDENTICAL attire from NOC, and that combined with the year between then and now had all but killed the demand for that figure. I would have MUCH rwther seen his red and white gear or even his unique Halloween themed gear. Including the shirt was great, but why on earth would you make it from a shiny material?

The Rock does not meet the standard that I hold Mattel to. However, one also has to understand that Mattel made a last minute decision on this one, and therefore had very little/no time to make any tooling or paint decisions other than "Do it!" That being said, MDT, you know this doesn't exactly cut it, right? I'm not THAT picky, but come on... two shirts... one of which I dont ever recall The Rock wearing. Why even bother? I mean, I genuinely appreciate it, because you're giving me more value for my purchase, but better decisions can be made. Now, that facial hair. That facial hair, jesus christ that facial hair. It really does look like a Sharpie, doesn't it? Some grey detail or texture or something. MDT, its time to get to practicing your facial hair painting, and your hair color management. Seriously. While in most cases minor, its been an issue since launch.
