That Slater figures great! Especially if you have the 1st headsculpt to swap with.

But no elite figures worth £25....

Is it only me that's not really impressed with any of them!?

Look more like a bunch of customs to me. The Punk tat's are awful! Jackson now has hair so its out-dated already, looks more like Titus O'Neil. The Rock looks sloppy. Randy is just same old Randy. Slater's pretty decent to be fair, but not really a fan that i'll purchase him. Diesel gets some credit aswell, don't mind that figure and obviously still waiting on Nash. I understand they are just proto's but I was expecting a little more from them. Was excited to see these and now I just feel disappointed.

It's sort of underwhelming that we've been on pins and needles for months to find the series is only pretty good and not mind-blowing.

I'd imagined Mattel had a such a spectacular set they were so proud of that they wanted to hold out until they were perfect when the real deal is some repaints, some old sculpts, and a couple new ones, business as usual.

Considering that they're out within the next month or so, you're probably right. With that said, I will be cancelling my Rock pre-order.

I actually agree about the headsculpt. I really don't enjoy the BP one for this figure. The length of the hair is good, but the width of it is just weird looking. It clashes with his small body mold and seems out of proportion to me.
And when I think of Heath Slater, pre-Nexus and post-Corre, I think of his awkwardly dumb smiling like his first scan had.

Despite all my nitpicking, Heath Slater is still somehow my favorite figure from this set.



Good point, we haven't seen any changes between facebook-posted photos and final products for the past couple sets. This is just like how some hoped that they would fix Trent's whacky looking face between the 'proto' and finish product.

They probably used too much of their budget on Nash's and Diesel's belts to bother making Zeke's look good. I feel like they should've at least thrown in a rubber Corre shirt or something.

B13 Zeke, even at 1 per case, ended up shelfwarming pretty well. People aren't going to want this one when Zeke is even more obscure and all he gets is a half-assed old style IC belt. They could've done a rubber shirt for Zeke instead of giving Rock two shirts- Rock will sell regardless of an extra shirt. In the same respect, they could've sweetened Randy Orton up by giving him a dull WHC with the rubber shirt.





While I don't know the exact attire Diesel is supposed to be based off of, his shirt is an ugly pale gray when I would expect it to be like a metallic silver or clean white. And the font on the shirt looks too dinky and small. I don't hate the headscan, and the pants/vest are great, but that shirt just seems to devalue its awesomeness.

definitely not the best elite set MDT has made - very disappointing.

I've pre-ordered Nash because I made the decision to have a WCW-era display (with DDP, nWo Macho, and even Booker T sans accessories). But I bet even Nash wouldn't look as impressive.

Sorry Bill, this set is a dud.

Gotta admit, the quality of elites is dropping off something serious, while the price keeps going up. Sad.

Punk is great, all Punks are great so I'll never complain.

Diesel is awesome. Top to bottom. Awesome.

Zeke's new scan is alright...I think I need to see it in person. The non-shiny IC title looks ridiculous. There is no good excuse for that. Not when we're paying almost $20 a figure.

Orton's shirt looks awful. I hate those alien rubber shirts more and more.

Slater's tights are perfect, his scan is good but his hair looks like a globe

Rock is extremely disappointing. I know MDT said that they got him in last minute....should have left him off. Rock's had about 6 figures, and only one scan. The goatee looks horrendous. That figure definitley shows that it's rushed. I'm kind of tired of variants too. So they have the funds to make 2 completely different shirts for Rock but not make the IC title shiny???

Each figure doesn't get its own funding. The money alloted to a series is exactly that--distributed amongst the entire series. Some figues will get more towards them, while others not as much. The money put into making that Punk isn't the same that went into making Jackson. At least that's how I've always understood it. On that note, I would've much rather have seen one shirt with the Rock and a new scan instead of two shirts.
