NEWS

-Kid Kash and Alex Shelley have both requested their releases. At this time, every effort is being made to make them happy with their positions to avoid losing them.

-Due to unresolvable differences, Shane Douglas and Paul Heyman have decided to separate the rosters. They have chosen the names Adrenaline and Shockwave for their separate brands. Heyman will control Adrenaline, which will air on Friday nights. Douglas will control Shockwave, which will air on Saturday nights. Both rosters will be revealed once the first week of shows takes place. It is unknown at this time which championships will be defended on which show.

-Shane Douglas has stepped down from active competition to focus on running Shockwave. That leaves a spot open on the roster. Some names in talks with ECW at this time are Chavo Guerrero, Austin Aries, Frankie Kazarian, Petey Williams, Brent Albright, and Colt Cabana.

- To kick off REVOLUTION last night, Television Champion Rob Van Dam won a battle royal that was contested between both brands - Adrenaline and Shockwave. He last eliminated Rhino. This has earned him a shot at the World Championship.

- Bryan Danielson and Brian Kendrick ended the two week reign of Taz and Sabu as Tag Team Chamions. Their victory at REVOLUTION was also over formitables teams in Impact Players (Credible and Storm) and Generation Next (Shelley and Strong). Assuming they survive the next month as Tag Team Champions, they will defend their titles against the winner of a tournament that will be discussed later.

- James Gibson won the Lightweight Championship from former champion Jerry Lynn in a triple threat match that also included the first ever champion Low Ki. Many have questioned Gibson's abilities because he is less flashy than the rest of the potential challengers for his title, but he is determined to prove them all wrong.

- Past, present, and future of Ricky Steamboat, Ultimo Dragon, and Matt Cross overcame Raven and his followers Julio Dinero and CM Punk. Look for Dragon and Cross to continue teaming while Steamboat keeps a close eye on their progress as a team. As for the Flock, there's no telling where Raven is taking those two lost souls.

- Bam Bam Bigelow retained the FTW Championship against former champio nMasato Tanaka in a brutal First Blood Match. Bigelow was able to finally bust Tanaka open by wrapping the championship in barbed wire and using it as a weapon... after hitting him with just the championship couldn't get the job done.

- Ken Shamrock defeated Scott Steiner at REVOLUTION, but it doesn't seem to be the end of the feud between these two. Steiner went berserk after he tapped out to Shamrock's ankle lock. He hit Shamrock with a lead pipe and put him in a Steiner Recliner.

- Rob Van Dam successfully retained the Television Championship against Chris Hero. He thrwarted several dirty tactics from Hero before capitalizing with a Van Terminator and a Five Star Frog Splash.

- Vampiro managed to squeeze out a victory over the Man They Call Vader, but only after recieving help from Raven and The Flock. With Vader on Adrenaline with the rest of The Flock (minus Vampiro), he'll more than likely be out for revenge in the near future.

- Terry Funk returned to action and teamed with Tommy Dreamer in a winning effort against Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger of the Extreme Horsemen. The fans were overjoyed by Funk's return, but they weren't too into the match itself.

- Chris Benoit regained the World Championship in the main event against former champion William Regal and fellow number one contender Steve Corino. His first challenger has already been named: Television Champion Rob Van Dam. Their match is already scheduled for November 2 Remember on November 27th.

- At November 2 Remember, the Tag Team Championships (right now held by Danielson and Kendrick on Shockwave) will be defended against a team from Adrenaline. That team will be the winner of an eight team tournament that will take place over the next few weeks. The teams are as follows:

Friday, November 4th, 2005

- The opening contest started off the Adrenaline Tournament. Axl Rotten made an early return from injury and teamed with Balls Mahoney to defeat former Tag Team Champions CM Punk and Julio Dinero with a con-chair-to to Julio. After the match, Raven verbally berated his followers.

- In a crowd pleasing match, Cactus Jack beat the living hell out of New Jack. Literally. This match was incredibly one sided. Cactus finished him off with a double arm DDT.

- The second match of the Adrenaline Tournament saw newcomers Matt Hardy and Sean O'Haire defeat the Blue World Order of Blue Meanie and Stevie Richards. This match was flashier than the first tag match and saw Hardy and O'Haire work rather well together for it being their first time as a team. The finish came when Hardy hit the Twist of Hate on Meanie, followed by a Seanton Bomb from O'Haire.

- Old rivals Tommy Dreamer and Raven squared off in a modern day classic. The Flock tried their best to interfere on Raven's behalf, but they were chased off by The Man They Call Vader. This distraction allowed Tommy Dreamer to finish Raven off with a DDT onto an open chair that Raven had set up.

- The third match of the Adrenaline Tournament saw another throwback match as The Eliminators took on the Dudley Boyz. Much like their previous encounters, this was a hard hitting match. Bubba Ray was more vulgar than usual and almost got into a fight with a fan at ringside until security stepped in. Devon accidentally collided with his brother, sending him flying off the ring and into the guardrail, and he was then caught with Total Elimination.

- In a contendership match to determine who is next in line to face Television Champion Rob Van Dam... Rhino defeated Spike Dudley, Sandman, and Simon Diamond. This match was basically all over the place. The finish came when Simon went to superplex Spike. Sandman came underneath and powerbombed Simon. As Spike bounced up from the mat, he was speared by Rhino for the win.

- The fourth match of the Adrenaline Tournament saw yet another classic as Little Guido and Tony Mamaluke faced off against Mikey Whipwreck and Yoshihiro Tajiri. This was easily the match of the night thus far and the crowd was certainly into the fast-paced action. Whipwreck hit the Whipper-Snapper on Mamaluke, Guido hit the Sicilian Drop on Whipwreck, Tajiri hit Guido with the green mist, and Mamaluke hit the Sicilian Stretch on Tajiri. After a bit of struggle, Tajiri tapped out.

- The main event of the evening was a Falls Count Anywhere Match between FTW Champion Bam Bam Bigelow and TV Champion Rob Van Dam. Both champions fought all over the arena, including into the crowd. Chairs were flying everywhere. Good thing the fans signed waivers upon entering the building. Things started to look up for RVD when Bigelow caught a chair and RVD landed a spinning heel kick, connecting the chair to Bigelow's head. RVD did his signature pose and the fans went wild. He turned around to do it again, only to be speared by Rhino! Rhino stood over RVD for a moment before throwing his arms in the air and walking away. Bigelow crawled over and covered RVD for the three count.
