Over here on Sky1 these are the two big american comedies and I've only just started watching them in the past few weeks. Watched The Middle for around the past 5/6 weeks, I love the show, the characters work so well together, they're really funny. Modern Family, saw one of the final eps on season 3, last sunday, I was crying with laughter when Mitchell was stuck in the elevator and couldn't get out. Heard amazing things about this show and that it's always winning awards, and its just started on tv from season1 today so i'm watching it right now  What do you guys think of these shows. |

Never heard of The Middle.
Modern Family is alright for me... the wife loves it.

I don't watch The Middle, nor do I have any interest in it, but I absolutely love Modern Family. It's been hilarious since day one, and I have no doubt it will go down as one of my favorite TV comedies ever.

Love Modern Family. Season 3 was kind of rocky for me, was losing interest fast but the last few episodes have been stellar.

First 2 seasons were awesome, but it started to lose a bit of steam come middle of Season 3. LOVED the season finale....WOW!!!! Old Jay still got some powerful spunk! |

Haven't been able to see much of The Middle, but absolutely love Modern Family, though I haven't seen as much of season 3 as I would've liked.

I haven't seen much of Modern Family because to me the show just isn't that funny. Which is a shame since Ed O'Neill is awesome. Maybe I just caught a bad episode but eh. The Middle is better but I stopped watching it after a few weeks and I don't really miss watching it. Had some really funny moments though, so maybe I'll eventually start watching it again.

The middle depresses me so much. Seeing what has happened to Neil Flynn who was so great on Scrubs now he's on this horrible comedy show where he can't be funny no matter how hard he tries.

yeah I enjoy them both.I have been watching them on 3E(an Irish TV channel)since 2009.they are both very entertaining but I enjoy MF more.
