Original plans called for Tensai to be participating in the storyline The Big Show is currently involved with.
Tensai is expected to go through a makeover which has already started to take shape as they have dropped the robe and modified his name. Tensai worked the dark match last night squashing Alex Riley, then in the post-show main event they did a John Cena vs. Tensai and Lauranitis handicap match and Tensai was the one who took the pinfall.

That's a shame. I really like(d) the whole Lord Tensai thing.

Shame. Although he should have came back as A-Train imo.

It's probably mostly due to the fact that he looks ridiculous.

Exactly what I said he was going to be...but NOOOOOOOO nobody wanted to believe me. They guy just simply doesnt have the "it" factor to be a top star here.

It's probably mostly due to the fact that he looks ridiculous. Or that he sucks. All that damn hissing..

Not surprised. WWE usually expects things to just work quickly and if they don't they squash it. Tensai should have been given 6 months to establish himself, not a month and half.

Well I'd rather have him as US Champion than Santino - I think he could get more heat from beating him. I still think that SD would of been a better show for him.

Snarky idiots ruined his run, the same vocal few that have propelled Daniel Bryan to the mainevent scene. I don't like the trend.

1.) He worked Superstars, not the dark match. 2.) Who cares who takes the pinfall in the post-show main event? If they had Laurainitis play chicken-crapand bail on the match, then of course it would make sense for Tensai to take the fall and put heat on Laurainitis at the same time. 3.) Saying that Big Show's current storyline was supposed to be Tensai's is purely a guess on the writer's part. As is the fact that he's expected to continue getting a makeover. What else is there to makeover?

Not surprised. WWE usually expects things to just work quickly and if they don't they squash it. Tensai should have been given 6 months to establish himself, not a month and half. Spot on! They want instant results, and if it doesn't happen, "welp, that failed. Onto the next one!"

I still see him going places, Whilst I don't expect him to be the WWE champ, I do expect he'll play important roles in the upper mid card like Umaga did with Jeff Hardy. The guy's a great performer for someone of his stature.
And like someone said: what else is there to "make over"?

I think the minute he walked out there dressed in a samurai helmet with a little ninja guy throwing salt around he became a failure.....this isn't the early 90's and cartoonish gimmicks like that just don't work anymore. He's not Yokozuna and his little guy there is NOT mr. Fuji. Hell, he's not even Hakushi! Those types of gimmicks just don't work anymore!
Even Umaga wouldn't work if they tried it again. Nobody believes that a guy is actually a savage jungle beast, but somehow they allow him to get a job and earn a paycheck...but he's an uncontrollable savage with no communication skills or socialization? Sorry, not buying it. The Undertaker and Kane are the only supernatural or unrealistic gimmick that gets a pass these days....well, them and the fact that John Cena is essentially unbeatable.
Tensai's return would have worked if they brought him out and called him Albert/A-Train like EVERYBODY already knows him as and just explained that after his firing from WWE he went to Japan and learned a more disciplined, aggressive style of wrestling and had him talk and act normal instead of having him spin around and move like karate kid.

He shouldn't of been involved with Lauranitis/Cena at all.

Absolute BS.
Him coming out without the entrance gear one week and dropping the 'Lord' from his name doesn't sound like a makeover either.
