Hey, you being a funeral director and all, are there any odd occurrences on the job that you can share? I haven't had anyone come back to life on me... yet.

Bodies do often sit up after death, it's part of how gasses and things escape from the body, it's not an uncommon thing to hear of. However I think the idea of it speaking may be exagerated, or simply imagined in the emotional situation. With the one who "grabbed her arm" it may have just sat up and she assumed it was because the body had revived.
I'm not going to doubt the idea that the body may not restart very temporarily after someone is announced dead, but In the case of the original story, i'm inclined to require a little more evidence than that of someone in morning.

What if the kid wakes up now? They should have been nice enough to include a flashlight -- just in case. lol
