Obviously it'd be a pipe dream...but because I was only 12 when I last got to see Jordan play, I just think it would be amazing to see him play. His next birthday he'll be 50, so he'd be 30+ years older than some of the other plays...I'm assuming most people would laugh hysterically at the idea. I think the oldest player of all time was 46 when he retired, and that was in the 1940s when things were a lot simpler. But, considering he owns the worst team in the NBA and they need help, what if it were to happen? Jabbar played until he was 42, still much younger than 50, but interesting regardless.

Well, Jordan wasn't that great when he came back the last time ten years ago. He was older, not in as great of shape, and just didn't have the internal drive that he had before.
He would be terrible, and he would tarnish his legacy and hurt the franchise. He wouldn't even consider it, nor should he.

Well, Jordan wasn't that great when he came back the last time ten years ago. He averaged 21.5 points, 6 Rebounds and 4.5 assists a game in his return over 2 seasons. Not exactly terrible. As to the OP, at least it would bring some attention to the Bobcats, get them on TV. Honestly, they cannot do worse than they did last year, they had probably the worst NBA team of all time. Their young talent isn't exactly top caliber, I dont see harm in giving Mike a couple minutes, it would be fun.

To think Jordan's been dropping hints over the past few years that he wants to make a comeback scares me, to consider him actually doing it would just be bad for everyone, himself, his team, his fans, and the NBA in general. Leave the memories alone.

Jordan probably COULD return (if he got back into shape) but he wouldnt sniff a starting lineup. he would most certainly be a bench player only as no way he'd be able to go 40mins in a game like Kobe, Lebron and Durant can do. Honestly, its best if he just stays gone. He's by far the greatest basketball player of all time. No reason to change that now.

Jordan's play with the Wizards was much better than people seem to want to remember it. He was still a great player. His team just sucked extremely hard (and he probably deserves a lot of blame for that). Had Artest not broken Jordan's ribs during his training, and Jordan not destroyed his body trying to prepare himself for his return, I think things would have gone much differently.
But to answer the question, there's no way he would be able to keep up with today's players. I hope he stays retired.

It was terrible compared to what he was back in the day when he was easily the most dominant player on any court.

Not sure if he'd even make the D-league. He's about 40 pounds or more over weight and at 50 he'd be cruising in a Olds while the rest of the league are racing formula 1's.

I don't think it would go so well in terms of his play and helping the team...
But I would SOOOOOOO watch.

I'd lose quite a bit of respect for him, luckily I'd still have plenty to spare.

It would go similar to Jordan with the Bulls before Scottie got there. One guy can't do it all.
