The Mayans were right, we laughed it off as joke, made plans for the new year, but the truth is humanity and the world as we knew it all ended in 2012. I still remember the anarchy in the streets, the people screaming for help, dead body after dead body, it was the apocalypse. We still don’t know who they are or what they want but it doesn’t matter they control us now. I used to be a professional wrestler, well actually I guess you could still call me that, though I have my doubts that what they call ’wrestling’ will be anything like the spectacle I grew up watching and later put my body on the line for. See they’ve recruited me for something that they are telling me is ‘wrestling‘, but I have my doubts, sounds like it‘s going to be some deathsport or something. I don’t really know yet but I know I‘m forced to do this, I guess I’ll find out what’s going when it begins next week.

I picture this being done in the same light as your Airport diary, which was amazing. This seems like John Cena in the Hunger Games.

Post-apocalyptic wrestling sim filled with wrestlers who survived the end of the world? Brilliant.

Interesting to say the least.

I arrived at the facility today, it's somewhere just off Manhattan, in the Hudson River. They led me to this small room, where I'm apparently going to be housed for this competition. I saw an old friend Dave Bautista on my way, strangest thing though, I said hello to him and he kept on walking past with a possessed look in his eyes like he didn't even see me. It was good however seeing someone from my past, I know most of them perished in the apocalypse.
So I got to my room and the baboon who was leading me gave me a disk and said it was an orientation and gave me some words of advice. That their audience loves sex, violence and personality. I'll keep that in mind, buddy. So I watched the orientation and what I can get out of this is it is something like a wrestling promotion at face value, they have this thing they call approval rating. Which is our rating given by the audience based on how entertaining we are and how many people tune in to see us. We are given freedom on what we do out there and if our rating falls too low we are executed on TV, at the end the champion of the competition receives a prize, which will be announced at our formal introduction tomorrow, where we'll receive further information on what is going on. I'll meet the rest of the competitors there, seems like Dave is one, I'm interested in seeing who else from the old world survived and is here competing. That's it for today anyway.

Good write up Fury, you've captured the character pretty well. I would think he would be a bit more emotional though, considering everyone he knew died. The Batista bit will be interesting. I'd like to know more about the people in charge but I'm sure that'll come. I like that your trying something different layout wise but I find it a little hard on the eyes. There's a few words there that are hard to make out, maybe thats something to change. Good luck and please keep this up.

Hello, Whatever the hell day it is now
So today, we had the official introduction to the audience, all 20 males who would be competing in the organisation known as VENOM PRO for our freedom and 1 Billion dollars. We were put in isolation booths where we had still yet to see the other guys but we had TV sets where this was airing live. They introduced us in alphabetic order as we walked out on stage and were greeted by what must have been in the thousands. The announcer kept mentioning our previous achievements before what she called the “absolution”. Competitor number one, considered one of the most athletically gifted individuals before the absolution, Shelton Benjamin she said. Competitor number two, Daniel Bryan. A couple of old comrades were first up, though I don’t care about old acquaintances, I’m going to do whatever I need to come out on top. Competitor number three, the biggest superstar in the world before the absolution (there we go again) John Cena. Competitor number four, AR Fox. Competitor number five, Justin Gabriel. Competitor number six, Zema Ion. Competitor number seven, Samoa Joe. I waited and waited as each of the others went out, I knew I was near the end. Kofi Kingston, Magnus and Chris Masters were next Then came a real shocker, the highest paid athlete before the absolution, boxing superstar Floyd “Money” Mayweather, that threw a spanner as up until then it was made up of professional wrestlers. Competitor number twelve, David Otunga. I heard some screaming and watched as Otunga was zapped by a Taser and escorted to the back, missed what happened. Seth Rollins, Mason Ryan and then international stars Go Shiozaki and La Sombra were introduced. Then competitor number seventeen MMA star Chael Sonnen, another surprise. Ricky Steamboat Then time for me, a guy opened up my booth as she announced competitor number nineteen Kevin Steen. I walked out to the stage and took everything in, I knew I was going to win this. I saw the other competitors on the stage with a mix of emotions, I walked past them and must have accidently clipped John Cena who then took it as a rub to his ego and tried to shape up to me. I told him politely to off and took my place. Everything went quiet and the stage went dark as the announcer noted that the next competitor was no ordinary man. He was originally a man who on the brink of depth was saved after the absolution and genetically perfected in a jungle somewhere in Brazil. He has now taken the name of Rei Bautista. Holy shit, it looked like Batista if he was a cyborg, the left side of his face appeared to be metal and his eyes were red, though maybe I was just imagining things. Anyway Cyborg Batista seemed to snap and threw Kofi Kingston across the stage with some sort of superhuman strength, he then started destroying the stage and I knew that was my cue to get the out of there. I saw some guys in SWAT suits restrain whatever that was that looked like Cyborg Batista. Anyway we finally learnt about our competitors and I for one know I’m going to take this out. This diary will probably be worth a fortune for you sick s who took over this world, I’ll be a god among you and if you dare screw me over then I’ll take my vengeance out slow and sweet.
Kevin Steen
