Spider-Man is one of my favorite comic book characters so naturally I'm interested. I'm optimistic after watching the trailers, but I still have a few problems with it. Way too soon for a Spider-Man reboot and Andrew Garfield looks like an adolescent. With that being said, I'm still going to see this, maybe even go to the midnight showing.

I'm definitely interested. I read all the amazing spider man comic books growing up. The clone saga and etc.

More excited for this than any other movie in recent history. I can't wait to see Andrew Garfield portray Parker/Spider-Man. Can't wait for tickets to go on sale, I asked MONTHS in advance for the night off so I can go to the midnight showing. My boss actually asked me if I'd pick her up a ticket too. Something they've started to do at my local theater complex is use ALL the theaters for the midnight premier showing. Now that movies are digital and not the reel-to-reel, they can show it simultaneously on multiple screens. I know they did that at "Hunger Games" and "The Avengers".... everybody gets a seat, you don't miss out or have to wait in line for hours, etc. Check with your local theater to see if they are doing this.

This is one of those movies that I'll watch eventually, it's not that I'm not excited, I just don't like going to the movies. I think Garfield portrays a good comic book version of Peter. What do you guys think about the new costume? Ah, the costume..... hated it at first, now it's starting to grow on me a bit. The head area still looks too much like a basketball for my tastes. Also, I don't like the wet/shimmery look to the suit.

That's part of his character - he's a teenaged superhero. I think Andrew Garfield is a pretty solid choice, better than Tobey Maguire even, and I loved his and Raimi's Spider-Man.

Word has it (From early NY screenings) that they took out most of the UNTOLD STORY business. Not sure if everyone has been following, but most of the clips and trailers have lead us to believe that Parker was genetically engineered by his father and that the spider bite only activated those powers, which is then brought up when the Lizard keeps saying, "come and find out what who you really are" or whatever and apparently Sony wasn't happy with the film so they've taken most of that stuff out.
I'm really going to be pissed if this is the truth. An UNTOLD STORY that's the exact same story as the last one? Ugh.

They didn't do this with The Avengers, so I'm sure Amazing Spider-Man will be no different. Any case though, I'm looking to get my tickets to the premier as soon as they go on sale. Gotta be safe!

Just got out of the screening. Really loved a lot of stuff about the film, but I'm still struggling with it whenever I compare it to the original. It's a good film, but sometimes it feels unnecessary.

Going to see it next week with a couple of friends, it looks good. Plus, early reviews are positive so that's a good sign.

Guys, make sure to stay after the credits. There's a bonus scene, as usual. Nothing special, but still worth the stay.

Looks like a terrible movie. Awful cast. Same story we've seen before. Easy pass on this crap.

Though I've been looking forward to this movie, I actually expected people to hate it. Surprisingly, I'm reading a lot of early good reviews. Even has a decent (albeit early) rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
