I'm thinking about buying a mattel ring to display my figures in. I just don't know if I go and buy one of these 20 dollar "superstar rings" if they'll end up being too small or crappy and easily broken. Now I've heard of an Elite scale ring but I've never seen one for sale anywhere. Can anyone tell me what the big difference between the two is? As well as the pros and cons of the basic figure rings? I've been eying up this tribute to the troops ring and I don't know if I shoupld pull the trigger on it. Thanks in advance

There's Elite Scale rings on Ebay. RSC might still have them as well too. Ive got a loose, never used, mint one in my classifieds. (cheap plug)

I've got one BNIB that can be shipped loose. Make an offer of PP or trades. Another cheap plugger

Well I don't have much trade bait as I left about 250 of my figures at my old house when I moved and am yet to go back and get them :/ but I've been able to get over 30 figures since moving. I have an elite 13 Cody and elite 12 d bryan which id be willing to trade though.
Another thing I don't have is 120 bucks to blow on an action figure wrestling ring nd that's what RSC is asking for the elite rings. Kinda ridiculous does anyone know why so much? And in the pictures on the box the elite ring looks like double the size of the basic rings which look way too small.

I never did get the Elite ring, already had the Jakks fancy ring and they are pricey and take up space.
I saw the little rings on clearance at Target today for $10. Great deal there. I think the rings are pretty cool and have a lot of my figures on display on them - I have like 7 or 8 different rings I think.
How much was the Elite Scale Ring at retail? It was $60 at TRU, am I right? And didn't sell well at all. Double that is an awful price.

ESR. It is in scale with the figures and is much better all around.

I have a basic ring in my classifieds. I bought a Jakks real scale ring.....but I don't have room for a HUGE ring. So i like the basic ring alot. Plus u can get the steel cage or TLC scaffold which is really awesome

This is again why I still think the 16x16 inch scale idea is the future.
It's the perfect middle. It's roughly the size most Indy promotions use anyways.
To contribute - If you love working with your hands you should just build your own. It's the best feeling when you're finished & have your figures posed proudly in something you created.

The elite scale ring is a monster. In my opinion it is a little too big. The basic rings are way to small. I can't stand doing moves like a suplex and both figures legs his opposing ropes. You can find the ESR at Big Lots for $30 which is a steal cause I paid $60 when it came out.
The only problem is the basic ring has alot of add-ons, such as the TLC, Cage, and Elimination playsets, and the ESR has zero add ons unless you customize them yourself.
I'd go with the ESR, and hope that Mattel can come out with a ring a few inches shorter than the ESR with the option of accessories down the road.

Elite Scale Ring is 22x22 so its pretty damn big. The turnbuckles and ropes are removable plus the apron is material instead of plastic and a sticker like the Basic Ring.

if you're only going to display figures in it, you could get 4 basic rings for the price of an ESR get a RAW & a Smackdown one...you're all set. they won't break if you're not playing with them.

Well I just looked for a near by big lots and realized that there's one not too far from me so ill have to check that out soon. The elite scale ring sounds a lot more like what I'm looking for and if they go for 30 bucks there then I'm in luck. Does anyone know if they have a WWE section or just some random stores carry the ring?

Esr takes up a lot of space, I had to dismantle mine and store it as I didn't have anywhere to display it. The basic rings are great, I got my launchin flexforce ring for £2! It's easy to display and fun for a little play, lol.
