I never been too big of a fan of Del Rio. From day one I thought he was absolutely bland and boring on the mic, and I thought the same thing about his in-ring work (minus the enzuigiri). Nowadays, I still find him just as bland and boring on the mic but my opinion of his in-ring work has improved. I still don't think he's anything special outside of that one move, but he's an average competitor that with the right opponent (Christian comes to mind) can put on a pretty great match. Nothing above a four (out of five) though, at least I haven't seen him deliver a match better than that. So, I wouldn't really miss him if he left. Not a bad wrestler, but nothing I'd get to upset about losing.
As for Ricardo Rodriguez . . . I definitely wouldn't miss him. I never really found him hilarious or that entertaining, and this recent crap with Santino has been putrid. Not that he didn't have the occasional moment of awesomeness, I liked his Rumble appearance (at least the beginning) and the spot he took at TLC. Though I won't be too shaken up if he left too. Although, I can't imagine him leaving even if Del Rio did but I figured I'd comment on him since he's been brought up enough in here.

I seriously doubt the end of Del Rio would be the end of Ricardo. Seems like the WWE knows lots of people enjoy him.

The people on this board boggle my mind. It's as if they watch wrestling.for comedy, and bad comedy at that. There is heat on Del Rio for his drug use, and its a shame because he is talented. The guys here that prefer his announcer are misguided souls. is that another one of your insider conspiracy theories? Del Rio is solid in the ring but his character doesn't do anything for me.

I stopped reading replies when someone said Del Rio is more entertaining than "those NXT jack-offs".
I will now hit the 'back' button on my browser with no additional comment.

They pushed him way, way too hard and people just didn't take to him. I love his character, but there's just something about the guy that just ain't working.

I could see him winning the title then just leaving and going back to Mexico with the title, and risk being sued however if he has the money i don't see why he wouldn't

It'd be bitter sweet for me. Part of me would say THANK GOD, but part of me thinks he could have improved a WHOLE lot. If he leaves, then cool...
BUT KEEP RICARDO.

Perhaps he'd be more interested getting back into MMA.

This guy is getting pushed to the moon he got submission wins over Kofi when he was ic champion 3 or 4 times, Santino the us champ twice. These are making him a pretty big star, on top of all he's accomplished.

I've never ever liked the guy. The IWC went through a phase of thinking he was amazing back in late 2010/early 2011 with "Albert of the ing River" every week in the Raw thread but now the hype has died down. In ring he is decent, on the mic not too bad but he doesn't appeal to me. He's being outshined by Ricardo Rodriguez at the moment too.

As others have said, he is pretty good in the ring. However he has done nothing to make me interested in his character. I cringe when I hear his music because I know I am going to be bored.

Del Rio is one of the most talented superstars on the roster, it would be a huge loss if he were to leave. I stopped reading replies when someone said Del Rio is more entertaining than "those NXT jack-offs". I will now hit the 'back' button on my browser with no additional comment. It's true though. In terms of charisma, talent, ring skills and the look, he blows all those hacks out of the water. It's funny, I remember when everyone here was on the Del Rio bandwagon, now everyone hates him. And it's really absurd that everyone wants ADR gone but wants to keep Ricardo. Yeah, cause one less charismatic wrestler and one more comedy act is really what the WWE needs right now.

See, I don't what's so great about Ricardo. He was fine as a personal ring announcer, now he's one big joke, constantly involved in horrid segments and matches. Del Rio is a talent who proved within weeks how good he was, and then became stale because WWE's use of him has been so uninspired. He became stale because he's as boring as a sack of nails and brings nothing useful to the table, at all. The only thing he's done for me is given me a sweet enziguri to use in the WWE 12 game. Funny, you are one of the people I remember who really liked him not even a year and a half ago.

I think he could have been better if they had not pushed him so fast. He wins the rumble and cuts the it's my destiny promos.....wins title and still cuts the destiny promos. Ok you reached your destiny let's see something different.

I thought he was really good at first but then he just became so boring and repetitive, not to mention he had two of the worst WWE title reigns ever.

i miss how his character was when he debuted... talk smack.. but back it up... beat the hell out of them, look at what the rey fued was like.. i loved him then.. it then moved to the destiny thing. and it was the same thing over and over , and then the cowardly thing... blah.. it seems as if they are kind of gearing him back up to the fighter/hard ass he was in the begining, which for me is a plus.

I mean, how you be a big fan of him and then say down the line 'he brings nothing to the table at all.' He's a talent, being used like crap. Same can be said for a lot of guys.
