F4Wonline.com is reporting that the relationship between WWE and Alberto Del Rio is becoming heated.
Reportedly, Del Rio had a major dispute with a top WWE official and threatened to quit the company. One source says Del Rio is frustrated with his current standing in the company, while a second source claims the incident wasn't a big deal and the dispute was more about contractual terms. A third source believes the incident between Del Rio and management is a combination of the first two reports.
Del Rio is viewed by WWE as having leverage. He has no personal issues with income and could easily return to Mexico as a former WWE Superstar. In the report, one WWE employee questions how legitimate Del Rio's concussion really was. Del Rio was apparently "too injured" to work his match against Sheamus Sunday at the No Way Out pay-per-view but was healthy enough to perform on Monday Night RAW. The employee thinks the concussion was a cover up because of the issues going on between Del Rio and officials. The feeling is WWE would rather claim he has a concussion to get him out of a high profile title match, and not risk Del Rio going into business for himself.

Does seem abit funny that he couldn't wrestle at No Way Out but could at Raw...

I wouldn't miss him. When you're getting outshined by your more charismatic and entertaining ring announcer every week, I can't say he'd leave a gaping hole or anything.

See, I don't what's so great about Ricardo. He was fine as a personal ring announcer, now he's one big joke, constantly involved in horrid segments and matches. Del Rio is a talent who proved within weeks how good he was, and then became stale because WWE's use of him has been so uninspired.

Yeah, I have no idea what's going on with Del Rio. Obviously some sort of backstage issue if they pulled him from a PAY PER VIEW Championship match but had him wrestle the very next night on RAW.
Something is definitely up....

If Del Rio went into business for himself, he could probably beat some ass.

@crankyvince said something about this the day the account was shut down. Didn't think too much of it, but perhaps it's true.

I'd really hate to see him go, but to be honest, he really hasn't been very entertaining as of late. I really enjoyed his run in the main event scene last year, but he's declined quite a bit. And it was indeed very odd that he was unable to wrestle at No Way Out but come back the very next night. People can't turn around from a concussion that fast. There has to be some kind of issue backstage.

He became stale because he's as boring as a sack of nails and brings nothing useful to the table, at all. The only thing he's done for me is given me a sweet enziguri to use in the WWE 12 game.

I think Del Rio has talent in the ring and has personality, at-least he's an experienced wrestler unlike most nXt jack-offs.

The people on this board boggle my mind. It's as if they watch wrestling.for comedy, and bad comedy at that.
There is heat on Del Rio for his drug use, and its a shame because he is talented. The guys here that prefer his announcer are misguided souls.

They threw everything at him within a year to try and recreate the Kurt Angle/Brock Lesnar effect, but still nobody gave a crap. One of the most forgettable WWE Title reigns in recent memory (did he have it twice? I can't even remember) and Ricardo gets more heat than him. Sure Ricardo's a big joke, but so's the current United States Champion. He gets a reaction, which is more than can be said for ADR these days.

Overall, I really like Del Rio. There was a span of time where he was getting too much mic time and saying the same things over and over again.. but I have enjoyed his in-ring work lately.
