Himself (just 'Matt Bloom'), he'd be in a better spot right now? I get the hate for the gimmick, but I don't get the hate for the guy. The amount of time he's spent and experience he has in the ring speaks for itself.
I believe he could've just returned as Matt Bloom. He simply could have been himself on the mic and in the ring, no gimmicks, and he would have been in the main event picture. He could have held the WWE or World Title at least once. Plus he could acknowledge the "ALBERT" chants on-screen with no problem. He should have the respect and be where guys like Christian and Mark Henry are.
Thoughts?

Honestly, I don't think he was ever anything good in WWF/E.... like ever, no matter what name or gimmick, he's always remembered as crap here in the states.
What he did in Japan means zilch here, so no, I don't think anything could save him from where he is.

He was alright as A-Train, nice to see that he has shaved and all.
It might work, I like the Tensai stuff, but they should of brought him back as the same A-Train guy but just with the whole style of wrestling he does.

You cry "I'm entitled to my opinion" anytime you disagree with someone else's opinion. Yet here you are, telling someone they need to keep their opinion to themselves. Hypocrite. I do agree that the gimmick is what isn't getting him over with the crowd. A large white guy speaking Japanese. Just doesn't reach most people... not make sense, for that matter. |

It doesn't seem that the gimmick is getting over too well, but I don't think a generic guy named Matt Bloom would get over any better. Maybe they should have just brought him back as A-Train or Albert, I still like him though. I loved his match with Sheamus.

What are you smoking dude? Tensai was a perfect gimmick for him to return with. He has more of a japanese style now and actually did go to japan to perfect his craft. So it has a sence of reality to it. I blame the fans for being smarks and thinking its cool to chant Albert rather than focusing on his new gimmick. 3/4ths of those idiots didn't even start watching wresling until half a decade after the Albert character was released, they just wanna sound like they know it all. Its a damn shame as Tensai really should have worked.

WWE should let him have some mic time before a match where he says things like he went to Japan to hone his skills.
They just need to come out and say that Albert is no more, and Tensai is what he has become.

Yes maybe Matt Bloom could have feuded with Phillip Brooks or Paul Levesque. I bet him and Paul Donald Wight Jr. could have had some classics as well.

Exactly. Nobody wants to read the garbage you reply with, but it's a part of a forum (and life). People have opinions. You don't like it, tough. Obviously his/her comments get under your skin... since you specifically mentioned him/her. Due to your hypocrisy, I hope said person comments in this thread. Simply if just to annoy you. And yes, it puts a smile on my face.  I guess being Matt Bloom wouldn't get him over more, but I wouldn't say it's smarks that are to blame. I'd say it's his look that doesn't appeal to most people. Out of shape and in trunks. Majority of fans don't care for the heavier talents in wrestling. Which is a shame. Because Bloom was good during his original run in the WWE... and his Japan work/Tensai work have been even better. The guy has talent for a big man and is damn good as a "monster". |

1. Just an example, don't take it seriously. But when you post something like "ALSO, GUY WHO DONT LIEK A-TRAIN, DONT  ING POST IN MY THRAD!". Yeah, you kinda do open yourself up for trolling. 2. WFigs deals with alot of people. This is a forum, kinda like real life, you have to hear other's opinions, eve if it pisses you off. If I went to a work place, and then got pissed about how england lost to Italy today, and then said "Also, to the dickhead Italy fan, don't talkto me".What do you expect to happen? Tensai is his most interesting and entertaining character to date. Agreed. But just like the others, it's not getting over. I just want to see WWE learn from their mistakes. I mean, John Cena and Randy Orton don't have ring names and they just do what they do naturally, and it worked for them. Granted, not a lot of people on here like Cena and Orton is pretty boring, but they are the faces of the company. |
