Has anybody downloaded this yet today? I can't believe 1.85GB for a new cutscene when Dawn Guard for Skyrim is only 600mb.

SPOILERS
The three endings are all pretty good now. I really liked the control one. I feel like they dropped the ball on the destroy ending because it still didn't give any closure or add anything to the scene of Shepard breathing afterwards.
They also added a fourth ending that is just downright funny.

Has anybody downloaded this yet today? I can't believe 1.85GB for a new cutscene when Dawn Guard for Skyrim is only 600mb. Keep in mind that the full Skyrim game is less than 5GB, while Mass Effect 3 is 2 7.9 GB discs. The games are built significantly differently, and I'm quite sure that Skyrim has zero out-of-game cutscenes, which ME3 has plenty of (and the EC DLC brings more than one and makes other changes). Spoilers in white: I think that many of the changes, on the whole, make the endings better. However, some of the explanations seem largely unnecessary. I didn't need any more explanation about the Catalyst, origin of the Reapers, etc.

I am very sad that the story of Shepard is over. This was an amazing series. I have to say that control is my favorite ending. SPOILERS: But I did love how in the destroy ending if your EMS is high enough, when they show the crew about to put your name on the wall, it stops short, basically confirming that Shepard is alive and that was him shown breathing.

Now that I am thinking about it, I still don't understand why there was never an ending where you win. I mean they have the EMS in the game, but yet it doesn't even do anything. I go into the final battle with all the side-quests done and a EMS of 95-100% and yet there is no way I can get a good ending. It should atleast be there for the people that are doing all of the side quests and actually giving you an incentive to achieve a really high EMS. I think Bioware totally dropped the ball on the endings for ME3. For me, ME2 is still the best in the series. It had great interaction with the characters and the final level was tense and is what the final level of ME3 should have been like.

Reapers defeated, Shepard survives without a scratch and his squad-mates all receive medals over a giant ceremony at the Citadel.

I enjoyed the extended cut. It really took away the pain and added the ending I was after to the game. Mine did finish on a cliff hanger due to the (SPOILER) Breathing part (SPOILER) but I liked it as I can now say that he does reunite with the Normandy crew and life goes on.

As much as i loved the Mass Effect series, I was greatly disappointed by the endings. Not to the point a lot of people were, but it was definitely underwhelming. As far as adding more to the endings at this point, it's just too little too late for me. I am not going to re-purchase the game just to go back through for a few more seconds that should have been there to begin with.
I think that my biggest disappointment is that it didn't really feel like any of the choices I made in the first two games mattered.
