Friday Night SmackDown! | July 13th, 2012 | Colorado Springs, CO
Stealing the layout 'cause I can. Like I said, come at me Penguin
- After the WWE signature intro, SmackDown GM Vickie Guerrero was shown in her office, along David Otunga. Vickie was still fuming about her loss to AJ last week. But it was so satisfying to see her be left unconscious because of Kane and CM Punk. "You know, Vickie, look at the damage that was done to AJ, and that was just being in the middle of an altercation between Punk and Kane. Imagine what would happen to her if she were to be in the middle of their match this Sunday at Money In The Bank." Vickie thought about it for a bit before telling Otunga that that's a brilliant idea. If AJ were to actually be in that ring with Kane and Punk on Sunday, she may very well be hurt even more. Possibly, her career would be cut short and she would never have to see her on SmackDown again. Vickie then announced that AJ will be the special guest referee for the WWE Championship match at Money In The Bank.
- Cutting to the arena, the ring was shown propped and ready for the return of the Highlight Ring. Along with that, several ladders were shown around ringside. The lights shut as Chris Jericho made his entrance to a solid pop from the audience. He stared up at the Money In The Bank briefcase, mouthing the words "You will be mine." He welcomed everyone to the return of the most exciting show to ever grace the WWE, and the show where nothing is held back and all words are spoken, the Highlight Reel. In just 48 hours, he and 5 other SmackDown superstars will all battle in one of the most dangerous, yet rewarding matches that the WWE has to offer, the Money In The Bank Ladder Match. And in that briefcase is a guaranteed WWE Championship match anytime, anywhere for up to a year. But before he continues, "Will all five of you parasites come on down." Zack Ryder, Michael McGillicutty, Antonio Cesaro, Cody Rhodes, and Alberto Del Rio all made their entrances individually as the ring filled with the participants. Jericho said that he's going to be honest, just looking at the five of them makes him believe that he already has this match won. Del Rio told Jericho that he is incredibly delusional if he believes he's going to win. Actually, everyone here is delusional if they feel they're going to win. And that's because the man who will win is the same one who did it last year. The same man who successfully cashed it in to become WWE Champion. As Ricardo Rodriguez announced his name, Jericho butted in, telling Del Rio that while all of that is true, he would hardly call his two WWE Championship reigns a "success." As Del Rio and Jericho argued, Cody Rhodes stepped in, saying that the two of them need to look at the keywords. They "were" WWE Champion. Nobody is looking into the past. Everyone is looking into the future, and that is him. He's the one who is going to climb that ladder, take the briefcase, and become WWE Champion. "Cody, you're right. People need to look into the future. But it's not in you. The future is in me," said Michael McGillicutty. Both Zack Ryder and Antonio Cesaro soon stepped in as all six participants argued, nearly starting a brawl. David Otunga put a stop to that as he made his way out to the stage. Vickie Guerrero's new right hand man said that there will no contact between all six of them at this point. That comes in two nights at Money In The Bank. Tonight, however, they will all be in action. Chris Jericho will be going one on one with Antonio Cesaro. He's also noticed a bit of tension between Zack Ryder and Michael McGillicutty, so there differences will be settled. In the ring, Del Rio and Cody got in one another's face, assuming they would be meeting tonight. Otunga told them that while they will be in action tonight, it's not going to be against each other. Instead, they'll be teaming up to take on Kane and the WWE Champion, CM Punk. The audience popped at the announcement of all three huge matches set for tonight. Otunga then ordered for the ring to be cleared and for Jericho, Cesaro, Rhodes, and Del Rio to head to the back because Ryder and McGillicutty's match starts right now.
- ZACK RYDER DEF. MICHAEL McGILLICUTTY [W/ AW]: A solid bout to kick things off on the go home show for the Money In The Bank PPV event. With AW and his live mic cheering on McGillicutty, Ryder took it upon himself to eliminate that as he delivered a strike to the owner of All World Promotions. McGillicutty attempted to roll Ryder up with his feet on the ropes, but the referee caught him. He spent too much time arguing with the official as Ryder caught him with a surprise Rough Ryder to pick up the victory.
- Cutting backstage, Vickie Guerrero was shown in her office when Heath Slater, asking why she wanted to see him. "Wait, don't tell me. You wanted to hear my song!" As Slater started signing, Vickie told him that for the past two weeks, he has dodged Ryback. Getting himself counted out, and disqualified last week. Ryback isn't exactly the easiest guy to comply with, so she asked Slater here to inform him that up next, he'll be facing Ryback in a No Countout, No Disqualifications match. Slater's jaw was nearly on the floor, telling Vickie that there's no way he can go out there and be ripped to shreds by that meat head. Suddenly, Slater turned around and met Ryback. He let out a huge scream, causing Slater to run out of the room as Ryback chased after him.
- Returning to SmackDown, we saw Heath Slater running to the ring, Ryback in hit pursuit of him. The One Man Band stopped once he was in the ring to try and catch Ryback with a quick jab, but he was hit with a vicious clothesline as the bell sounded for their match to begin.
- RYBACK DEF. HEATH SLATER IN A NO COUNTOUT, NO DQ MATCH: After weeks of dodging the undefeated Ryback, there was nowhere for Slater to run. He completely dominated the One Man Band, finishing him off with three Shell Shocks to get the victory.
- Backstage, AJ was shown in her locker room with a replica Kane mask. It looked as if she were about to kiss the mask before WWE Champion CM Punk walked in. He told AJ that he hopes she understands that what happened last week was an accident. He would never try to intentionally hurt her. AJ said that she knows, but is actually glad it happened. It showed her that Kane really does care about her. She spent a lot of time with him over the week, and realizes that......she loves him. "Yeah, that's fine. You and Kane can go be the weirdest couple that not just the WWE has ever seen, but humanity in general. But I hope you would be smart enough to not let that interfere in your role as referee in the WWE Championship match on Sunday," said Punk as he was leaving. AJ stopped him, saying that while she loves Kane, she never said he didn't love him. She continued to stare at Punk as he left the room.
- Cutting to another camera, Chris Jericho was shown making his way down to the ring. He meets Antonio Cesaro next on SmackDown.
- Returning to SmackDown, the RAW Rebound was shown. focusing on the main event between Tensai and World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus. The bout ended in complete chaos as the Big Show stood tall over John Cena, Tensai, and the man he meets this Sunday for the World Heavyweight Title, Sheamus.
- CHRIS JERICHO DEF. ANTONIO CESARO: And absolutely stellar match here between two of the best in-ring competitors on SmackDown. For Cesaro, a win over a superstar such as Jericho would send him into Money In The Bank on Sunday with all of the momentum in the world. As he was going for the Very European Uppercut, Jericho managed to counter it into the Codebreaker to pick up the victory.
- The audience cheered on Jericho as he raised his arms in victory, looking up at the briefcase that he plans on making his this Sunday. Suddenly, he was attacked from behind by The Miz. Miz repeatedly stomped on Jericho in a corner before tossing him out to ringside, where he planted him with a Skull Crushing Finale. Miz grabbed a microphone, telling Jericho that he probably thought last week was going to be the last time he had to deal with him. He's sorely mistaken because he just spoke with Vickie Guerrero, and they were able to work something out. Everyone has been anticipating six superstars to put their bodies on the line in the Money In The Bank Ladder Match. Well now, there's going to be seven. And that seventh man will be the one who climbs the ladder, retrieves the briefcase, and becomes WWE Champion. "Because I'm The Miz....and I'm.......awesome."
- Backstage, AJ was shown walking down the hallway when she noticed a dark, red lit room, knowing who was in there. She walked in and met Kane, telling him that she hopes he and Punk can get along tonight. "AJ, don't play favorites on Sunday. You said you loved me, and if you truly mean that, you'll be a fair referee." AJ said she already planned on doing so because she knows that at Money In The Bank, the better man will leave as WWE Champion. As she was about to leave, Kane stopped her. "AJ........" said Kane, hesitant to continue. He stopped himself, saying that he'll tell her later.
- Returning to SmackDown, United States Champion Santino Marella was shown making his way down to ringside. He pulled up a seat to watch the next match, getting an up close view of the man he defends the gold against on Sunday.
- DAMIEN SANDOW DEF. ALEX RILEY: A decent bout here. Santino was shown several times watching on, pretending not to be impressed with Sandow's performance. Soon, Sandow planted Riley with the Iron Lotus to pick up the victory.
- Sandow raised his arms in victory as the audience booed him, as did Santino. The No.1 contender for the United States Championship stepped out to ringside as he grabbed Santino, tossing him face-first into the steel ring post. Sandow grabbed the United States Championship, raising it high in the air as he shouted "Save you, I will!"
- In the locker room area, Alberto Del Rio was shown when Cody Rhodes walked in. Rhodes said that it should be no secret that he's not happy about teaming with him later. What he is happy about though is that this Sunday, he takes that giant step towards becoming WWE Champion. Del Rio chuckled, telling Cody he better not get his hopes up. He is the man who will pull off back to back Money In The Bank matches, and just like last year, his cash-in will result in the crowning of a new WWE Champion. Before leaving, Rhodes told Del Rio that he's not sure if the world can sit through another one of his reigns. Everyone has been waiting for the future to arrive, and it will when he cashes in the briefcase to become WWE Champion.
- As Divas Champion Layla was making her entrance, a graphic was shown revealing one final match for Money In The Bank this Sunday. Because of he victory last week, Tamina will get her shot at Layla's Divas Championship in two nights at Money In The Bank.
- DIVAS CHAMPION LAYLA DEF. AKSANA: A decent match to give the Divas Champion the momentum heading into her title defense on Sunday. During the course of the match, Tamina made her way out to the stage to get a closer look at Layla, who finished off Aksana with the Layout to get the victory.
- The commentary duo of Michael Cole and Matt Striker quickly ran down the card for Sunday's Money In The Bank pay-per-view. on the RAW side of things, two huge matches are set as John Cena goes up against Tensai, and Sheamus puts up the World Heavyweight Championship against the Big Show. Over on to SmackDown, we just saw Layla successfully defeat Aksana, but her real test comes when she defends the Divas Championship against Tamina. Damien Sandow has vowed to save the image of the United States Championship as he battles the champion Santino Marella. As we learned earlier tonight, it will now be seven men who battle for the Money In The Bank briefcase. Chris Jericho, Zack Ryder, Michael McGillicutty, Antonio Cesaro, Cody Rhodes, Alberto Del Rio, and The Miz. And finally, the WWE Championship is on the line as CM Punk defends against Kane. But as we learned earlier, AJ will now be the special guest referee. Money In The Bank is live Sunday only on pay-per-view.
- Backstage, WWE Champion CM Punk was shown in his locker room when AJ walked in with Kane. The two men who meet Sunday for the WWE Title faced off as AJ said that she brought the both of them together for a reason. She vows to be a fair official on Sunday, but asks that the two get on the same page for tonight. Punk told Kane that if he wanted an apology for last week, he already gave one to AJ. "I know you didn't mean to hurt her last week, Punk. But I did mean to hurt you. And I plan on hurting you even more on Sunday. But if AJ wants us to get along for one night, then she'll get what she wants." Kane and AJ made their way out of the room as Punk followed them, ready for the main event.
- WWE CHAMPION CM PUNK AND KANE [W/ AJ] DEF. ALBERTO DEL RIO AND CODY RHODES: Perhaps to the surprise of some, there was clearly more tension between the team of Rhodes and Del Rio, rather than the two men who meet on Sunday for the WWE Championship. Kane delivered a clothesline to Cody over the top rope as Punk hoisted Del Rio up to his shoulders, hitting him with a GTS to get the victory.
- The audience erupted as CM Punk was handed his WWE Championship, AJ raising his arm in the air. Kane grabbed a microphone as he slid back into the ring, telling Punk that what he's about to say has nothing to do with him, so it would be greatly appreciated if he leaves now. Punk didn't leave, but he did back against a corner to allow Kane to say whatever it is he had to say. He brought AJ to the center of the ring before asking her something. "AJ, you've told me that you loved me. Up until now, love is something that has been very faint to me. Every time it comes over me, I've been hurt. But I can tell that you're different. I can tell that you really feel what you say you do." CM Punk could be seen looking on in confusion, along with the rest of the audience. "AJ, this isn't something I would've ever imagined doing, but....." said Kane before dropping to one knee. AJ, Punk, and everyone else watching were speechless. "AJ......will you-" before Kane could speak the final two words, a man from the crowd jumped into the ring and attacked him. Punk quickly grabbed AJ and pulled her away, trying to keep her out of harm's way. The man and Kane brawled as referees and security restrained the two. As security escorted the man out of the arena, AJ could be seen very faintly mouthing the name "Dean."

SmackDown: - Weird opening segment, Vickie's announcement could easily have been held off till later in the show. Still, AJ being the special guest referee will add an interesting twist to things, can't wait to see how you play it. - The Highlight Reel was a good way to get all six Money in the Bank participants in the ring at the same time but I can't help but have this feeling that guys like Ryder and McGillicutty are only there to fill it out and that they're not likely to win. - Really surprised to see Ryder going over with McGillicutty's recent push, but it makes Ryder at least seem a bit more relevant heading into the pay per view. - Great segment with Slater and Ryback and a solid victory for Ryback as well. I'm hoping you keep Slater in the spotlight because he's been really entertaining recently. - Another good segment with Punk and crazy AJ, I'm expecting more from them this show. - Great match between Jericho and Cesaro, got to say I'd love to see those two go at it. The Miz being in Money in the Bank is great, the guy could easily be a top heel on SmackDown so he needs to be in the spotlight. - Sandow with another good win, really hoping that he takes the belt off Santino. He's a great comedy wrestler and all but the United States title really needs a push. - Good to see Tamina getting a Diva's title shot even if it was a little thrown together. Layla obviously needed the win here. - A really good tag team main event, the whole strange partners thing doesn't always work, but here I think it did. I was a little surprised you had Punk and Kane going over since I think Del Rio & Rhodes could have used the rub more without it hurting Punk and Kane. - My god, that was a crazy ass ending. I mean the entire thing from Kane proposing (never thought I'd ever write that) to the sudden attack was just insane but in an awesome way. If this is the way you're bringing in Dean Ambrose then you get a round of applause from me because it was the last thing I expected. I can see him getting involved in the WWE Championship match at Money in the Bank to set up a further feud with Kane. - A solid show if a bit hit and miss in small moments. The ending was done to perfection though and really adds some intrigue to the pay per view.

WWE MONEY IN THE BANK | July 15th, 2012 | Phoenix, Arizona - Money in the Bank begins first with the WWE logo flitting across the screen, and then by the opening video package. It focuses first on the two Money in the Bank ladder matches, highlighting just how importance this match is. Out of the ten men who have cashed in the briefcase all have done so successfully. We then switch focus to the World Heavyweight Championship which sees Sheamus facing off with the monstrous Big Show. In the weeks leading up to this show Big Show has dominated at every turn, leaving no doubts in anyone’s minds that he is capable of winning this match. Finally attention is turned to the WWE Championship match and the recent problems between CM Punk, Kane and AJ. This past week on SmackDown things got even more bizarre as Kane proposed and a mystery man got involved. Tonight all of these things will come to a head. Champions will be crowned, future legacies created and two briefcases claimed, exclusively on Money in the Bank!
- We open in the arena with a spectacular pyrotechnics display, panning around the arena to showcase the near 11,000 fans in the US Airways Centre here in Phoenix, Arizona. We head to our announce team of Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler as they welcome us to Money in the Bank exclusively on pay per view. They hype up just how huge tonight’s show is going to be, drawing our attention to the SmackDown Money in the Bank briefcase which currently hangs above the ring. The action starts right now as we crown SmackDown’s Mr. Money in the Bank.
1. SMACKDOWN MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH) CHRIS JERICHO vs. ANTONIO CESARO vs. ZACK RYDER vs. MICHAEL MCGILLICUTTY vs. CODY RHODES vs. ALBERTO DEL RIO vs. THE MIZ: Money In The Bank instantly kicked off in a chaotic finish as Chris Jericho went after Miz during his entrance, not waiting for him to get into the ring. The bell sounded as the other five competitors went at it, Del Rio being the first to grab a ladder. Michael McGillicutty grabbed the other end of it, beginning a tug of war with Del Rio. Zack Ryder hit the ladder with a baseball slide, taking the both of them out. He slid the ladder into the ring and attempted to set it up, but was stopped by Cesaro. He clotheslined Ryder over the rope and delivered a hard ladder shot to Cody, leaving him as the only superstar in the ring. Cesaro got one foot on the ladder before Chris Jericho immediately stopped him. Miz was right after Jericho as he and Cesaro stomped away on Y2J. With Cesaro focused on Jericho, Miz tried to quickly scale the ladder. Cesaro stopped him as McGillicutty slid back into the ring. He climbed the other side of the ladder as Miz pulled him down. He went to the outside to grab another ladder, but was stopped by Del Rio. As the two battled, Ryder placed another ladder in the ring, delivering a shot to the mid sections of Cesaro and McGillicutty. He set up the ladder in a corner, picking Jericho up in the opposite. He went for an irish whip, but Jericho was able to counter it. Ryder stopped himself before hitting the ladder as Jericho charged towards him. Ryder was able to move out of the way as Jericho collided with the ladder. He fell into position for the Broski Boot, but was stopped with a clothesline from Del Rio. The Mexican Aristocrat took Jericho's arm and repeatedly smashed it with the ladder, trying to eliminate one of the favorites from the equation. Cody was back in the mix of things, dropkicking the ladder as Del Rio had possession of it. Rhodes threw that ladder to the side, climbing the other one that was already propped and ready. McGillicutty scaled the other side as the two traded blows at the top. McGillicutty fell off the ladder, falling right into a Very European uppercut from Cesaro. Cody had his hands on the briefcase before Cesaro stopped him, delivering a powerbomb onto another ladder. Jericho quickly stopped him from climbing the ladder, catching him with a bulldog. Jericho's arm was still causing problems for him, but fought through it as he locked the Walls Of Jericho on Cesaro. Zack Ryder tried to use this opportunity to climb the ladder, but Jericho released his hold of Cesaro to scale the other side. Miz set up another ladder to the side of them, climbing it as he tried to stop Jericho and Ryder. They both pushed his ladder over, causing Miz to fall onto the top rope. Del Rio set that ladder up again as he and McGillicutty both climbed it. Jericho, Ryder, Del Rio, and McGillicutty all battled at the top of their ladders, eventually pushing both over as they all crashed to the mat. With all seven competitors laid out, Ricardo Rodriguez decided to try and win it for Del Rio. He set a ladder up and began climbing it before AW decided to try and do the same. He climbed the ladder as the two managers met at the top. "Get your hands off Mike's briefcase!" shouted AW as he delivered a shot to Ricardo, knocking him off. AW was all alone at the top of the ladder until Antonio Cesaro climbed, joining him before he could grab the case. AW tried to comply with him, telling Cesaro that he could be a very good asset to All World Promotions. Cesaro didn't want to waste any time as grabbed AW's head, delivering an uppercut that sent him crashing to the mat. Cesaro was all alone until Miz was back in the mix of things. He pulled him off the ladder, planting the Swiss Sensation with a Skull Crushing Finale onto another ladder. Miz began to scale the ladder until he was joined by Chris Jericho. The two rivals battled at the top until Cody Rhode slid back into the ring, pushing the ladder over Miz and Jericho crashed onto the rest of the competitors. Cody was the only man left standing as he climbed to the top of the ladder, unhooking the briefcase and claiming victory. CODY RHODES RETRIVES THE BRIEFCASE; CODY RHODES WINS MONEY IN THE BANK.
- Rhodes looked at the briefcase in complete awe before shouting while raising it. Shots of the carnage were shown as all of the other competitors, and even AW and Ricardo, were all laid out. Rhodes continued to raise the briefcase, knowing that any time over the next 365 days, he has the opportunity to become WWE Champion.
- We go backstage as we see Primo and Epico talking backstage. In the background we can hear “MILLION OF DOLLARS! MILLION OF DOLLARS!” as the Prime Time Players and Teddy Long are making their way down the hall. Once they reach Primo and Epico the two teams have a brief stare down before Teddy Long speaks up. He tells the two that he wants them both to watch the Prime Time Player’s tag team title match up next, because then they’ll know why both AW and himself picked “the hottest tag team on Monday Night RAW over you two.” Darren chimes in, saying once they win the tag team titles tonight, they realize why they’ll never before half as good as them and why they are going to make MILLION OF DOLLARS! Titus and Young walk off chanting as Primo and Epico shake their heads.
2. WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH) KOFI KINGSTON & R-TRUTH vs. THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS w/ Teddy Long: The Prime Time players were cocky as ever after the roll they’ve been on. Darren Young and Kofi Kingston started the match off, “Mr. No Days Off” quickly taking the advantage. Young tried to dump the champ from the ring, but Kofi quickly countered and tossed him out instead. The crowd popped as Teddy Long quickly rushed to save his client. Young started to comb his hair, only for Kingston to take him out with a suicide dive! Long quickly backed up as Titus attacked Kofi from behind, leading Truth to come over and take out Titus. The referee finally got control of the match as he separated Truth and Titus and forced the legal men back into the ring. Kofi quickly got the tag in to Truth who took it to Young with a variety set moves, but eventually Titus got the blind tag and hit Truth in the back of the head. Titus got the advantage and grounded Truth for the next minute while taunting him, even going as far to dance in the ring. The taunting proved to be a mistake as it allowed Truth to surprise him with a huge dropkick and tag in Kofi, who leaped over the top rope and took O ‘Neil down with a huge clothesline. Young tried to get in a cheap shot, but Kofi ducked and dumped him out of the ring. Titus was back up and he spun Kofi around, setting up for the Spinebuster, but Kingston countered it into a DDT! The crowd popped as Kofi sprung back up to his feet and bounced off the ropes, connecting with the Boom Drop! He covered, but Teddy Long hopped on the apron and distracted the ref. Kofi had no idea what was going on as Primo and Epico quickly rushed down the ramp! They pull Long off the apron, causing Darren Young to go after them. The brawl distracted Titus O ‘Neil and it ended up costing the Prime Time Players the match as when he turned around Kofi nailed him with the Trouble in Paradise! KOFI KINGSTON & R-TRUTH DEFEATED THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS; KOFI KINGSTON & R-TRUTH RETAIN THE WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP.
- Kingston and Truth celebrated their win in the ring as the referee handed them the titles. Teddy Long and Young were fuming on the outside as the cousins stood on the ramp, smiling. Truth, Kofi, and Little Jimmy celebrated the win on opposing turnbuckles as the scene faded away.
- Cutting backstage, AJ was shown in her referee gear as she will be the official for tonight's WWE Championship match. The defending champion CM Punk soon walked in, telling AJ that he hopes she has enough sense to call their match down the middle. She said that that's her job and she plans on doing it. "AJ, who was that guy on SmackDown?" asked Punk. She said that she had no idea. Probably just some nut job who didn't take his medication. "I saw you say the name 'Dean.' You know who he is, and you're gonna tell me right now." AJ stared at Punk for a few seconds, before leaving the room.
3. UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH) SANTINO MARELLA vs. DAMIEN SANDOW: As Sandow was removing his robe, Santino caught him by surprise with a roll up. Sandow managed to kick out just in the nick of time, though he rolled out of the ring and kicked the steel steps in anger. After re-entering, he quickly went for a clothesline as Santino ducked it, dropping him with an Arm Drag. Sandow backed into a corner, kicking Santino in the mid-section when trying to go for him. He whipped him into the corner, hitting the United States Champion with several knife edge chops. Santino fell onto the mat as Sandow drove his boot into the collarbone area of Santino. After meeting the referee's five count, Sandow dragged Santino in the center of the ring, covering him for the two count. Sandow kept him in a rest hold for a bit as the audience chanted for Santino, giving him enough energy to fight of the hold. He hit Sandow with a few elbows to the gut, trying to hit a clothesline. Sandow was able to counter it as he lifted Santino into the air, crashing face-first onto the mat. Sandow went for another cover, but only garnered another two count. Sandow picked the champion up, going for a suplex as Santino landed on his feet. He hit Sandow with a few quick jabs before planting him with a Sitout Facebuster. Santino was fired up as he brought out the Cobra, ready to finish this match. As he shouted "Cobra!" Sandow caught him with a huge Big Boot. He then took the Cobra and ripped it apart, stomping on the remains of it. He then picked up Santino, planting him with the Illumination to pick up the victory and the championship. DAMIEN SANDOW DEFEATED SANTINO MARELLA; DAMIEN SANDOW WINS THE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP.
- The audience shows their displeasure for the result as they boo Sandow, who is handed the United States Championship. He raised it high in the air as he placed one foot on the chest of Santino. Michael Cole stated that "Hallelujah" is a very fitting song for this event as tonight marks the beginning of the WWE Universe's transition from ignoramus to intellectualism, courtesy of the new United States Champion, Damien Sandow.
- John Cena is shown warming up backstage in a hallway to a huge pop. Suddenly, Daniel Bryan walks up to him and Cena asks him what he wants, but he just wants him to know he’s a little busy. Daniel says he doesn’t care what Cena is, because he just wants to remind him how he beat him to earn his spot in the Money in the Bank ladder match. Daniel adds that he is going to win the match, and since the briefcase is as good as the title itself; he just wants to thank Cena as the number two reason, him being number one, to why he is going to be the next World Heavyweight Champion. Cena smirks and reminds Bryan the only reason why he won is because of Tensai. John says he’s about to get out there and get some revenge on Tensai, so “if you want to put your money where your mouth is, I’m available every Monday.” Bryan says once he’s World Champion he’ll have more important things to worry about, but Cena warns him if he’s ever World Champion again then he’ll be the first one knocking on his door. The two have a staredown before an angry Bryan walks off.
- We go back to the RAW commentary team of Jerry Lawler and Josh Matthews. The two hype up that our next match is the grudge match between Tensai and John Cena. A replay of how this feud started is shown with the RAW from three weeks ago as Tensai cost Cena a Money in the Bank qualifier against Daniel Bryan.
4.) JOHN CENA
vs. TENSAI: The bell rings and Cena charges at Tensai, throwing rights and lefts at his body. At first it startles the beast and sends him into the corner. The crowd pops as it seems like Cena is practically fighting for his life, only for Tensai to hit him with a head butt. Tensai starts taking full control, backing Cena up with punches and elbow strikes. John is out yet as he starts to strike back, only for Tensai to start throwing knees to the guts. Tensai keeps on the offense and throws Cena to the ground. The crowd boos as he starts to choke Cena out by the ropes, the referee beginning his count. He gets up to four until Tensai releases his grip. He startles the referee with a nasty stare before Cena gets back up. He dazes Tensai with a few shots to the head before going off the ropes and hitting a shoulder block. Tensai falls out of the ring and Cena goes after him, picking him up and slamming his head against the announce table. He tries to whip him into the steel ring post, but Tensai counters and whips him back first into the steel steps! The referee tries to get them back in the ring only for Tensai to ignore him, picks John up, and tosses him into the barricade! Both superstars make their way back into the ring where Tensai gets startled by a kick to the gut, allowing Cena to bounce off the ropes and hit a bulldog. John starts to take control of the match and eventually hits the prototype slam. Tensai is out in the center of the ring as Cena throws his hand in the air, signalling for the Five Knuckle Shuffle. He goes off the ropes, but Tensai gets up and out of nowhere rams him right in the stomach! The crowd boos as Cena crushes into the mat. With him down, Tensai goes for the Back Senton, only for him to move out of the way! He quickly goes to apply the STF, but is fought off with a few stiff shots to the head. Cena is only dazed for a brief moment as he quickly goes back on the assault, kicking Tensai and hitting the DDT! John climbs to the top ropes and sets up for his signature leg drop, but when he leaps off Tensai catches him and plants him with a Chokebomb. TENSAI DEFEATED JOHN CENA.[/li][li] The crowd booed as Tensai stood up in the ring. Cena was down and you could barely tell Tensai was happy about his win as he still had an irate look on his face. The referee tried to help John up to his feet, but Tensai threw him backwards. Cena was just getting up, but Tensai shoved him back down to the mat and went off the ropes, hitting a back Senton! The crowd continued to boo as Tensai stood tall over Cena. [/li][li] As Tensai leaves the ring we are taken back to the RAW commentary team. Josh Matthews remind us of how Brock Lesnar is scheduled to answer Triple H’s Summerslam challenge in just a few moments, but first they want to take a look back at how all this came about. First we see Lesnar breaking Triple H’s arm on RAW back in May. The next clip shows Triple H laying down the challenge at No Way Out. Next we see bits of the interactions from Triple H and Paul Heyman over the past month leading to Triple H claiming he is the ‘Cerebral Assassin’ on RAW. [/li][li] The theme of WWE COO Triple H hits to a huge pop. “The Game” comes out in a suit and he’s wasting no time in hitting the ring. He grabs a microphone and says for the past two months he’s had to deal with nothing but lawyers, Paul Heyman, and bull crap. He states the time for all the legal garbage is over and he knows Brock Lesnar is back there. He wants his answer and he wants it now. Triple H waits for a few moments before Lesnar’s theme hits. Paul Heyman is the first one to come out to massive boos. He makes his way into the ring and grabs a microphone. Hunter says he’s tired of this crap and he wants Lesnar. Heyman says Brock would love to come out, but he’s currently in the back surrounded by security for your safety. Hunter is clearly not amused and Paul Heyman says Brock and he have discussed this multiple times over the past month. “While he would love to give you the most horrific beating of your career while ending it, Brock has decided his answer to not only the match and dropping the lawsuits is….. NO!” The crowd boos as Triple H surprisingly smirks. “I had a feeling that’s what the answer would be, Paul, but luckily being the Cerebral Assassin I came up with a plan.” Heyman looks increasingly worried as he continues to speak. “I knew Brock would be too much of a coward to come out here so he’d be sitting in the back with all the security guards money could buy. Yet, Paul, did you ever come to think if security and Brock were both back there, who would protect you?” The crowd pops as Paul pleads with “the Game.” Triple H has none of it, however, and knocks Paul down with a huge right! H wastes no time and he grabs Heyman again, this time setting up for the Pedigree. The crowd is going wild, but Lesnar’s theme hits again. Triple H drops Paul as Brock finally comes out to the stage. Triple H takes off his jacket and tie as Lesnar comes charging down the ramp and into the ring. The two begin to throw punch after punch with Brock taking the early lead. Triple H quickly fights back however, but only for Heyman to get Brock out of the ring. The crowd is amped up as Hunter tries to get them back in the ring. Heyman grabs the microphone again and tells Triple H that he’s officially crossed the line. “So now at Summerslam, your career will be over! Why? Because you got your match!” The crowd pops and Triple H wastes no time in jumping out of the ring and starting the fight again! Security finally rushes out and pulls the two apart as we fade to the next segment. [/li][li] Cutting to a dark lit room, Kane was shown preparing for his WWE Championship match tonight when AJ walked in. She told Kane that crazy things happen in life, but that shouldn't get in the way of their love. She knows what he was going to ask her on SmackDown, so she just wants to know when their wedding is? "AJ, there will be no wedding until you tell me who the hell it was that attacked me on SmackDown." AJ told Kane that she had no idea, but he didn't buy it. He said that her lips said "Dean." "Who is Dean?" AJ quickly ran out of the room, leaving Kane fuming as she has evaded that question two times tonight. [/li][li] We move to Lillian Garcia who is standing by with Big Show. Garcia asked him about his thoughts on the upcoming match while Show looked down on her with a stone like expression. He stated he realizes Sheamus is angered and is out for some vengeance tonight, but he doesn’t care. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you want, after eighteen years of oppression; there is no stopping him. He says he proved that on Monday when he knocked out Tensai, John Cena, and Sheamus in one sitting. He says he’s going to knock out Sheamus one more time up next, but this time he’s taking the World Championship with him. Show walks off before Josh Matthews and the King introduce to a video package for the main event. 5. WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH) SHEAMUS vs. BIG SHOW: ‘The Celtic Warrior’ had his ribs taped up still after the vicious assault from Big Show during their contract signing on Monday Night RAW. Sheamus was out for revenge tonight and as soon as the bell rung Sheamus jumped on Big Show on the corner and started throwing punches. The referee tried to get him off and couldn’t, but Show had no problem and he threw Sheamus off of him. Show took Sheamus down with a huge clothesline and dropped an elbow to the ribs. Big Show had control of the match for the first few minutes, but Sheamus was nowhere near out. He quickly started to fight back with punch after punch and he knocked Show out of the ring! The challenger was dazed as Sheamus climbed to the apron, and leaped off taking him down with a huge shoulder block! The referee started his count as Sheamus picked up Show and threw him straight into the barricade. He followed it up with shot after shot to the head and then throwing him head first into the steel steps. Sheamus threw Big Show back in the ring, but when he got in himself, he was met with a huge big boot! Show then went off the ropes and connected with a huge leg drop. Sheamus was down as Big Show signaled for the W.M.D. The champion got up and Big Show swung, but Sheamus ducked! He went charging off the ropes, only to run into a brick wall as Show knocked him down. He retreated to the corner and as he started to get up Show ran at him for the spear, only for Sheamus to move again, and this time he ran into the ring post! Show was clearly hurt as Sheamus went to the top rope and took him out with another shoulder block! He covered this time, only for Show to kick out. As the match continued the two warriors continued to battle back and forth. Sheamus seemed to finally have found his stride and he was calling for the Brogue Kick to settle the match, but as he was running Show grabbed him by the neck! He nailed the Chokeslam and covered, only for the champion to kick out. “The World’s Largest Athlete” wasn’t happy at all and he threw the ref down. Show seemed to be in another place, and he didn’t realize Sheamus was back up. When he finally turned around Sheamus took him out of the ring with the Brogue Kick! With the referee down chaos ensured as both men went to the outside. Sheamus laid Big Show out on the announcers table and did his signature ten punches to chest. Show fell to floor as the “Great White” followed him, only to be grabbed by the throat! Show tossed Sheamus right into the barricade and grabbed him again, this time sending him through the announcers table with a Chokeslam! With both the referee and Sheamus out Big Show was the only one left standing. Show picked Sheamus back up and grabbed him by the throat for a third time. However, now he was going for the W.M.D. Show raises his right hand in the air and turned it into a fist, but Sheamus grabbed it! Show was surprised as the champ started throwing hands, eventually causing Big Show to lose his grip. The two then started brawling all the way around the ringside area until they made their way up the ramp. They brawled all the way up to the stage as the ref finally woke up. Seeing the chaos, he rang the bell as they kept fighting. SHEAMUS AND BIG SHOW FOUGHT TO A NO CONTEST. SHEAMUS RETAINS THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP.[/li][li] The two wouldn’t stop fighting as they kept throwing punches at each other. Staff tried to separate the two, but it was no use as they just kept fighting through them. Booker T even tried to get the two to stop fighting only to be ignored as well. The two were fighting by the barricade and Sheamus was in control. He was hammering Show with shot after shot, but just when it seemed like Sheamus was going to finish him off, Show wrapped his giant hand around the champion’s throat! He tossed him right into the barricade as staff tried to get in between the two. Big Show pushed them off before measuring Sheamus. He charged and speared him right through the barricade! Both men were down as staff checked on them, Money in the Bank fading to its next segment. [/li][li] A video package aired promoting the upcoming 1000th edition of Monday Night RAW featuring superstars from RAW and SmackDown and the stars of RAW’s past. This blockbuster three hour edition of Monday Night RAW comes to you live from St. Louis Missouri on the 25th of July, exclusively presented to you by World Wrestling Entertainment. 6. WWE DIVA’S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH) LAYLA vs. TAMINA: Following the sound of the bell, the two Divas locked up as Tamina easily won the battle of strength. Layla delivered a dropkick to her leg, trying to get the quick cover. Tamina was able to roll Layla off of her before the two count, catching her with a heavy clothesline. Tamina picked Layla up before tossing her into a corner. She went for a splash, but Layla moved out of harm's way. She delivered a dropkick to Tamina in a corner, covering her for a two count. She went for another roll up, but Tamina rolled out of it before kicking her right between the eyes. She hit Layla with a standing elbow drop, only garnering a two count. The powerful Tamina lifted Layla up in a Gorilla Press position, but the Divas Champion managed to counter it into a DDT. Layla got the cover, but Tamina was able to kick out before three. She sat on the top turnbuckle, waiting Tamina to get to her feet. Layla attempted something as she flew off the second rope, but Tamina delivered a headbutt to her rib-area. Layla held her stomach in agonizing pain on the mat as Tamina ascended to the top rope. She came down with the Superfly Splash, but Layla was able to narrowly move out of the way. As Tamina was stirring to her feet, Layla delivered a kick to her face before planting her with the Layout to get the victory and retain her championship. LAYLA DEFEATED TAMINA; LAYLA RETAINS THE DIVA’S CHAMPIONSHIP. [/li][li] Layla was handed the Divas Championship as she celebrated with it, knowing she managed to overcome one of her toughest challenges to date. The commentators put over the effort of Tamina, but on this night in Phoenix, Layla is still your WWE Divas Champion. [/li][li] Once again we go the RAW announce table with Jerry Lawler and Josh Matthews ready to hype the next match; that being the RAW Money in the Bank ladder match. They remind us how the winner will have a guaranteed title match for up to a year before listing off the six men in the match. The six men are: Dolph Ziggler, Daniel Bryan, Sin Cara, Wade Barrett, Jack Swagger, and Intercontinental Champion Christian. 7. RAW MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH) DANIEL BRYAN vs. SIN CARA vs. DOLPH ZIGGLER vs. CHRISTIAN vs. JACK SWAGGER vs. WADE BARRETT: The bell rings and none of the superstars can decide to make the first move. Bryan slips to the outside as the other five guys start going at it in the ring. Ziggler and Christian brawl to the outside as Barrett dominates Sin Cara in the corner. Swagger hits Wade from behind and the two engage in a fight, only for Bryan to slip back in with a ladder and knock them both out! The ring is cleared as Bryan sets up the ladder and quickly tries to reach the top, but his plan is foiled by Sin Cara. Cara yanks him off the rungs, but is knocked out with a huge kick to the skull! Daniel tries climbing again, only for Christian to come back in and pull on his leg, sending him to the floor. Ziggler is getting a ladder on the outside while the champion tires climbing the ladder. Swagger knocks him off and goes for the Gut wrench powerbomb, but Christian pushes him off right into the ladder! Dolph slides a ladder into the ring and takes Christian out from behind with the Zig Zag. He places his rival on the ladder, does a taunt, and performs an elbow drop right onto the steel! Another ladder is brought into the ring by Barrett and soon enough all six men are trying to just climb up the ladders, but they are always pulled down by somebody else. Barrett and Christian are fighting on the outside over a ladder as Bryan and Swagger are climbing up one in the ring. Once they both reach the top Ziggler comes in and tips it over! The ring seems to be cleared as Dolph puts the ladder back up and begins to climb. Sin Cara has other ideas as he springboards to one ladder, then jumps off that ladder and takes Ziggler down with a sunset flip powerbomb! Later on in the match in what is probably the most memorable spot all five superstars, besides Sin Cara, were brawling on the outside. Cara sets up a ladder in the ring, but too far from the briefcase. He stands on top of the ladder. Everyone else looks up as he leaps off the top and takes everybody out! All six men are down and out as the crowd is going wild. The finals moments came as Barrett took Cara out with a wasteland onto a ladder. On one ladder Christian and Bryan were brawling until Bryan locked in the YES! Lock on the ladder! Christian did everything in his power to fight off Bryan, and eventually he succeeded in knocking him off. The champ seemed out as Ziggler climbed up a ladder not too far away. Dolph reached for the briefcase, but his rival took him out with a huge spear! Everybody was down, except Barrett. Wade was still on the outside and as he observed the carnage he quickly slipped in the ring, climbed up the ladder, and grabbed the briefcase! WADE BARRETT RETRIEVES THE BRIEFCASE; WADE BARRETT WINS MONEY IN THE BANK.[/li][li] Barrett’s theme hits to loud jeers from the crowd. Barrett stands up top of the ladder and raises the briefcase in the air with a loud roar. All other five men were out as Wade continued to celebrate his win on the ladder. [/li][li] As we prepare for the main event, AJ was shown backstage making her way down to the ring. Scott Stanford caught up with her, asking if Punk and Kane are both right. Does she know the identity of the man we saw on SmackDown. AJ angrily grabbed his tie, yanking it and telling him that she doesn't know who Dean is. As AJ continued on, Michael Cole raised the question that was most likely on everyone's mind. If she doesn't know him, how does she know his name is Dean? [/li][li] A video package was shown for the WWE Championship match between CM Punk and Kane. For weeks, we saw AJ become embroiled in a feud between Punk, Kane, and the now RAW Superstar, Daniel Bryan. After the roster shake up, we saw 3 of those 4 superstars on the same show. Kane quickly became the No.1 Contender for the CM Punk's WWE Championship as he tried to cut his ties with AJ. After an incident that saw AJ harmed, Kane delivered a Chokeslam to Punk as he tended to her. The next week, it was revealed that AJ would be the special guest referee for this match. Later on in the night, Kane attempted to propose to AJ, but was suddenly attacked by a man who, thanks to AJ, we know as "Dean." 8. WWE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH – SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE: AJ) CM PUNK vs. KANE: After AJ called for the bell, Kane immediately charged towards Punk. He was able to move out of harm's way, hitting Kane with repeated strikes and chops. Kane was able to grab Punk and toss him into the corner hitting heavy jabs. AJ began the count, but stopped before five as she allowed Kane to continue. As he went for a running powerslam, Punk was able to reverse it into an Inverted DDT. He got the cover, but Kane managed to kick out. Punk looked at AJ, telling her to call it down the middle. With Kane on his knees, Punk delivered several kicks to his chest, but couldn't follow it up with the head shot as Kane grabbed his leg. He quickly went for a Chokeslam, but Punk got out of it, kicking Kane in the head upon turning around. He went for another cover, but Kane managed to kick out once again. Kane rolled to the outside as Punk stepped out onto the ring apron. AJ didn't even attempt to start the ten count as she simply watched on. Punk went for a Flying Clothesline, but Kane caught him and rammed him spine-first into the ring post. Kane approached the announce table, taking it apart as AJ did nothing to stop him. He grabbed Punk, who pushed him into the ring post. As Kane was backed against it, Punk hit a running dropkick. Still, AJ did nothing. No countout attempts, no telling them to get back in the ring. She even sat cross legged in the ring as she watched. Knowing AJ wouldn't give a damn, Punk grabbed a chair and nailed Kane in the back with it. He delivered two more shots as Kane fell back onto the announce table. Punk climbed up the top turnbuckle as AJ continued to watch. He delivered an Elbow Drop to Kane through the announce table! The audience went wild as AJ smiled at the scene of the carnage. It took a while, but Punk was soon back on his feet as he tried to toss Kane back into the ring. Punk was able to get the Big Red Monster back in the ring as he covered him, but only got a two count. Punk tried to lift Kane up for the GTS, but he slid off the champ's shoulders, grasping his throat and hitting a Chokeslam. Unfortunately for Kane, Punk managed to get his foot on the bottom rope just in time. Kane went to the outside, picking up the chair that Punk used on him not too long ago. Kane nailed Punk in the back with it a few times before picking him up. It looked like he was attempting a Tombstone onto the chair, but Punk was able to get out of his grasp as he picked up the chair for himself. He hit Kane several times in the leg before targeting his back. AJ still stood in a corner, watching these two kill each other while not doing a single thing to stop them. Punk climbed on to the top rope with the chair, looking to hit an Elbow Drop. Kane moved out of the way, causing Punk to crash his elbow onto the chair. The Big Red Monster tossed Punk to the outside, taking the chair with him. He whipped Punk into the steel ring post, swinging the chair at his head. Punk dodged the chair shot as he dropkicked Kane, AJ watching from the ring apron. Punk slid back into the ring as Kane hurried after him. Punk delivered another dropkick, one that sent Kane into AJ, causing her to fall off of the ring apron in a very similar scene from last month's No Way Out. Kane stared at the fallen AJ, anger engulfing him as he charged towards Punk. The WWE Champion hit him with a leaping clothesline as they both remained on the mat for a while. AJ was still unconscious at ringside when the man from SmackDown, Dean, ran out there. He picked AJ up and carried her to the back, unbeknownst to Punk or Kane. Another referee tried to stop Dean, but he paid no attention as continued on with AJ in his arms. The referee ran down to the ring, taking over the officiating for this match. Kane was soon back on his feet, but noticed that AJ was gone. When he turned around, Punk hoisted him up to his shoulders, hitting him with a GTS to finally pick up the victory. CM PUNK DEFEATED KANE; CM PUNK RETAINS THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP. [/li][li] The audience popped as Punk was announced as the winner, the WWE Championship being handed back to him. After a war with the Big Red Monster, Punk still stands tall as the WWE Champion. He raised the title high in the air, asking the official what happened to AJ. As he was being told what happened, Kane turned him around and planted him with a Chokeslam. Kane quickly made his way up the entrance ramp, shouting AJ's name repeatedly. Punk was shown in the ring laid out from the Chokeslam as the commentators themselves wondered where "Dean" has gone with AJ. Suddenly, the theme of Cody Rhodes hit as he rushed to the ring, handing his Money In The Bank briefcase to the referee. Rhodes hurried him as he handed the briefcase to Justin Roberts, announcing that Cody Rhodes is cashing in his Money In The Bank briefcase. 9. WWE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH) CM PUNK vs. CODY RHODES: Everyone in the arena here in Phoenix were standing as Rhodes anxiously waited for Punk to get to his feet so the bell could be sounded. Punk soon did so as the referee finally called for the bell. Rhodes quickly grabbed Punk, planting him with Cross Rhodes. Cody covered him, getting the three count and fulfilling his dream. CODY RHODES DEFEATED CM PUNK; CODY RHODES WINS THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP.[/li][li] Nobody in the arena can believe it. Cody shouted at the top of his lungs as he was handed the WWE Title. He stared at it endlessly before raising it high in the air. The commentators tried to run down the series of events that lead to this. AJ was rendered unconscious, this "Dean" guy took her, Punk defeated Kane, and it was a post-match Chokeslam that allowed Cody to cash in the Money In The Bank briefcase that he captured at the top of the show. CM Punk remained motionless on the mat, probably unaware of what has even happened. Nonetheless, for the 11th time in WWE history, the Money In The Bank briefcase has been successfully cashed in. CM Punk's 8 month title reign has come to an end here tonight, and the reign of Cody Rhodes as WWE Champion begins.[/li][/ul]

Extreme Rules: RAW Side:
- Solid tag team title match which, with the inclusion of Epico & Primo’s little run in, just goes to show that there is the possibility of WWE to have a solid tag team division. I’m enjoying Long’s run with the PTP, I mean he’s no A.W., but he does the job well. Got to say I’m a little disappointed that they didn’t take the titles since this seemed like their moment but Kofi and R-Truth’s title run has been entertaining thus far, so I can cope with seeing more of it. - A John Cena / Daniel Bryan feud down the line? Yes please. - I’m really enjoying how well you’re using Tensai, the guy has all the talent and the look to be a monster heel and having him feud with Cena is a really good way of going about pushing him. I like that you made Tensai look dominant while making sure that Cena looked capable of defeating him because that is of course the traditional Cena style of booking. While I’m expecting a rematch between them come Summerslam it was clearly the best decision for Tensai to go over here. I think in three weeks you’ve made him a better monster than WWE has managed full stop. - The Triple H / Brock Lesnar confrontation was well written and I love that you’ve kind of gone full circle with Triple H being back to his Cerebral Assassin gimmick. It made sense going with the Triple H / Heyman stuff to draw out Lesnar, but the segment was of course simply for that in ring confrontation between Triple H and Lesnar and that was very well done. Can’t wait to see the build towards their match. - Okay, so I really liked the way you went about the World Heavyweight Championship match in terms of booking, since it keeps both men looking really strong and sets up a rematch since we didn’t get a finish here. However the way you wrote it kind of made their finishing manoeuvres look a little weak, what with Sheamus getting put through an announcers table and then just grabbing the fist and all. I get that when you’re writing matches like this you’re going to struggle with showing the effects and keeping the match slow, but it’s something that I think could be worked on. - Like the SmackDown Money in the Bank match I think you did a really good job of giving everyone a chance to shine. However I think you did a better job when it came to big moments, such as the Yes! Lock on the ladder which just sounded ridiculously awesome and would be insane to actually see. You had a few guys here who could have won this but I’m glad you went with Barrett because this is really the best option to propel him up the card where he belongs. A stellar match overall man, and a very good job overall in terms of RAW’s contribution to the pay per view. You’ve got plenty to work with going forward as well.

SmackDown Side:
- Okay, kicking off with the SmackDown Money in the Bank match here. First off let me say you’ve got a solid line up for the match, a good mix of new and established talent, so good job on that. You gave everyone the chance to shine and honestly got be believing that anybody could have won the match. I did think there was a lack of unique moments because other than the Skull Crushing Finale onto the ladder we’ve kind of seen everything before, but then it’s difficult to do anything new when everything has been seen already. Rhodes going over is fantastic, I’ve been waiting for him to win the big one for ages. - Absolutely love Damien Sandow going over for the United States Championship. As much as I think Santino is a great entertainer I can’t help but his reign went on far too long and just destroyed the credibility of the title which was already more than damaged enough. Still you managed to make Sandow look strong without completely wrecking Santino’s momentum. I’m hoping that you’ll use Sandow to bring the United States title front and centre. - Really enjoying the AJ scenes on this show, genuinely can’t wait to see if you have Ambrose make an appearance tonight. - Solid enough Diva’s Championship match, it’s going to take a lot of work to make the Diva’s division worth anything any time soon but as long as you keep putting together two women who can actually wrestle then it’s a very good start. - So first off, the CM Punk / Kane match was awesome, it was well written, brutal and just plain well booked. Having AJ let them get away with just about anything suits her crazy persona. The No Way Out throwback was alright, especially since it got an appearance from Ambrose even if it was only fleeting. Can’t wait to see where you take him next. Good to see Punk going over, but wait, what’s this? - Cody Rhodes cashing in is simply fantastic, like literally amazing. Not just because I’m a Rhodes fan, but because I really didn’t see it coming. Sure, they’ve done the whole cashing in on the same night thing before, but I really thought you’d give Rhodes some time. I think there could be some argument that he isn’t ready quite yet and that it could turn into another Jack Swagger style title reign, but I think you can easily make it work. A great end to the pay per view and a great display overall throughout the entire show. Like RAW you’ve got a lot of stuff to work with going forward and I personally can’t wait.

RAW [7/16/12] LAS VEGAS, NEVADA
[/li][li]RAW opened up with a recap of last night’s Money in the Bank pay per view. It featured small clips from the RAW ladder match, mainly covering the big spots such as the spear and the YES! Lock on top of the ladder before showing Wade Barrett unhooking the briefcase. It also showed few clips of John Cena versus Tensai with Tensai picking up the win and Brock Lesnar accepting Triple H‘s challenge. Finally it showed the World Heavyweight Championship match between Big Show and Sheamus. The video ended as Big Show speared Sheamus through the barricade; who is the rightful World Champion? [/li][li]The pyrotechnics blast off as we are greeted by Josh Matthews and Jerry Lawler. They welcome us to the 999th episode of Money Night RAW, one week away from the historic RAW 1000! They hype up how tonight the Prime Time Players get another shot at the Tag Team Championships, we will revisit the Brock Lesnar and Triple H confrontation, and then Booker T has a huge announcement regarding RAW 1000! [/li][li]“Can You Dig it, Sucka?” is heard across the arena as the RAW GM comes out to a huge pop. Booker thanks everyone for the warm reception and welcomes everyone to the 999th episode of RAW. He says Money in the Bank was a hell of a show, but it’s time to move on. He says next week on RAW 1000 we will have a World Heavyweight Championship match, and tonight we’re going to decide who faces Sheamus as John Cena and Tensai battle one again in a No Holds Barred match! The crowd pops, but Booker says he’s not done yet. He also announces that because next week is RAW 1000 and they are having such a huge match, he wants everything to go smoothly, so Stone Cold Steve Austin will be the special guest referee! The crowd goes wild and Booker smirks, only for the theme of the Big Show to hit. Show comes out, asking Booker if he was for real. Booker assured him he was before Big Show said he’s the only one who deserves another title match. He never lost last night and he destroyed Sheamus afterwards. Booker says he had his one shot and now he’s done, it’s time to go to the back of the line or prove he deserves another match. Before he can respond the theme song of Sheamus hits to a huge pope. Sheamus tells Booker he doesn’t care if his title is on the line or not, he just wants another match with the Big Show so he can kick his arse. Booker tells both men to relax because he does not want another brawl on his hands. Booker say he’s going to lay down the law and tells Big Show he is not getting another title shot and there will be severe consequences if either man lays a finger on each other. Show asks what that means, and Booker tells him he’d never get another title match and Sheamus would be stripped of his title. He leaves the ring, leaving Show and Sheamus behind, neither man satisfied. [/li][li]As we returned from the break we saw a replay of what just happened with Sheamus, Big Show, and Booker T. Josh Matthews then announces Booker T has granted the Prime Time Players another match for the tag titles after last night’s run in with Primo and Epico [/li][li] THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS[W/TEDDY LONG] DEF. WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS KOFI KINGSTON AND R-TRUTH: The Prime Time Players pulled a dirty trick when Truth was the legal man. Teddy Long called for him and kicked the air. Truth shouted “LITTLE JIMMY!” before tagging in Kofi and tending to him. He picked ‘him’ up and carried ‘him’ to the back, leaving Kofi confused and open to a Spinebuster from Titus! NEW CHAMPIONS[/li][li]As the Prime Time Players celebrated their victory, Josh Matthews got up to interview them. He asked the duo how they were feeling after getting such a huge victory. Teddy Long said it was only a matter of time before “the Real Deal” Titus O’Neil and “Mr. No Days Off” Darren Young took home the gold. Titus took the microphone next and jokingly said he hoped Little Jimmy would have a quick and speedy recovery. Young chimed in saying now that they finally have the WWE Tag Team Championships there is only one thing left to get. He looked at Titus before the both exclaimed “MILLION OF DOLLARS!” The duo went off chanting it while gloating about their newly won tag team championships. [/li][li]Sheamus is shown walking down a corridor, he’s in action up next! [/li][li] NON TITLE: WORLD CHAMPION SHEAMUS DEF. DREW MCINTYRE: Sheamus was looking to take out some frustration on McIntyre tonight. Drew looked credible against the champion, but Sheamus finished him off with White Noise. [/li][li]A video is shown with Triple H recalling his favorite RAW moment, talking about his 2002 return in Madison Square Garden. The special RAW 1000 episode is live next week! [/li][li]Lillian Garcia is standing backstage with the self proclaimed “Show Off” Dolph Ziggler. Lillian goes to ask him a question, but Dolph stops her. He tells her to let him do all the talking. He says last nigh at Money in the Bank he was INCHES away from taking the briefcase and going on to be the next World Champion, but Captain Jealousy had to ruin it for him. Dolph says he knows Christian is nothing more than a jealous veteran who knows he’s not even half as good as your “Headliner,” your “Showoff,” and your “Hashtag Heel.” Dolph says it’s a disgrace that he has team with that loser Jack Swagger again tonight, but he’s going to make the best of a bad situation when he pins Christian. Dolph smirks and says he’s going to take the Intercontinental Championship from him - just because he can. [/li][li] DOLPH ZIGGLER AND JACK SWAGGER DEF. INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION CHRISTIAN AND SIN CARA: In a fantastic tag match to round out the first hour, Dolph lived up to his promise when he got the three count on Christian with a roll up and a hand full of tights. [/li][li]The crowd jeered Ziggler as he jumped up to his feet yelling “SHOW OFF!” Swagger and Sin Cara were both down on the outside as Cara had taken him out with a slingshot cross body, leaving Ziggler to celebrate by himself. (Not like he’d have a problem with that, of course.) As Dolph was on the second turnbuckle with Christian disappointed in the corner, Booker T popped up on the titantron. Booker congratulated Dolph on the win and told the both of them that RAW 1000 was just about to get even bigger. He says it’s about time you two settle your differences, so you will meet next week for the Intercontinental Championship. Dolph smirks and Christian nods in approval, but Booker isn’t done. He says he doesn’t want a repeat of what just happened, so it will be a ladder match! Christian’s face lights up as Dolph looks a little worried, a huge match added to RAW 1000! [/li][li]Backstage we see Daniel Bryan pacing back and forth, irate. Brodus Clay and Yoshi Tatsu are walking down the same hallway, laughing. Bryan stops them and asks what’s so funny. Brodus tells him that his man Yoshi just told him a hilarious joke. Bryan asks “did he tell you to look in a mirror?” He laughs at his own joke as Brodus takes a more serious look on his face. Bryan, still oblivious to his anger, starts to mock Brodus. He says Brodus is nothing more than a giant dancing fool. Clay tells Bryan to watch his mouth and asks him to back what he says in the ring against him. Bryan responds by saying no, prompting Yoshi to say yes. Daniel turns to him and shouts NO! and Tatsu starts to mimic him and saying YES! Brodus can’t help but laugh as Daniel goes nuts shouting NO! at the both of them. Brodus tells him he needs to calm down, just because he blew it in the Money in the Bank ladder match doesn’t mean he has to take out his anger out on other people. Bryan seems even more enraged by that comment before snapping back how it’s a travesty that you two “goofballs” are getting more reorganization than him by Booker. He says he’s not even booked for RAW 1000, but he’s still going to make the biggest impact of the night. Yoshi tells Bryan that he’s way too stressed, maybe he should try to ease up with some….. funk? Brodus nods and Yoshi plays starts to sing “Somebody Call My Momma” as the pair start to dance, Bryan shaking his head and walking past them. They continue to dance as Brodus remarks how that’s “one angry little man.” [/li][li]A graphic is shown, hyping up the No Holds Barred Number One Contenders match between John Cena and Tensai is still to come! [/li][li]The theme of RAW Mr. Money in the Bank, Wade Barrett, hits to boos from the crowd. Barrett enters the ring and says last night he proved the Barrett Barrage cannot be stopped no matter who or what tires to stop it. He says he beat five other RAW superstars last night and because of that he has a guaranteed World Heavyweight Championship match whenever he pleases for the next year. Wade says he’s not going to be like Cody Rhodes or nearly everybody before, he is going to cash in this briefcase with honor. The crowd boos as Wade says by the end of 2012, he will be World Champion. The crowd continues to boo him as he issues an open challenge to prove it, and it’s accepted by Brodus Clay! [/li][li] MR. MONEY IN THE BANK WADE BARRETT DEF. BRODUS CLAY[W/YOSHI TATSU]: Wade was surprised by Brodus accepting his challenge, but he did not back down. After taking out Tatsu, Wade removed a turnbuckle pad to distract the ref. He then uses his briefcase to level the ‘Funkasaurus’ and steal the win. [/li][li]Wade celebrated his win with the briefcase as Brodus rolled to the outside, looking extremely disappointed in himself. [/li][li]We are taken back to the commentary team of Josh Matthews and Jerry Lawler as they talk about Triple H and Brock Lesnar’s confrontation last night before introducing us to exclusive footage from the Money in the Bank pay per view. A recap is shown of Triple H bringing out ’the Cerebral Assassin’ and forcing Heyman into accepting the match after a major brawl broke out between himself and Lesnar. As the video finished we went back live as the theme song of WWE COO Triple H hit to massive pop, he speaks next! [/li][li]Triple H grabs a microphone and talks about how everything went exactly how he planned it last night. He says he warned Heyman he is the ‘Cerebral Assassin’ and now the fight with Brock Lesnar is on for SummerSlam. The crowd pops as Triple H says he has waited over two months for a piece of Lesnar, but now the wait is over and it is time to play the game! Hunter says Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman have no idea what they started, but he wants to talk about RAW 1000 for now. The crowd pops as Triple H says he has a huge announcement for next week. Right at the top of broadcast at eight P.M., the reunion of D-Generation X will take place! The crowd goes insane as Triple H smirks, but he is quickly caught off by a laugh. Everyone is confused as Paul Heyman quickly pops up on the titantron. Paul says he has a correction to make. “We know exactly what we stated, Triple H, but you don’t know what YOU started.” The crowd boos before Heyman says he has an announcement of his own to make. He says if D-Generation X will be there next week at the historic RAW 1000, then himself and his client….. BROCK LESNAR will be at RAW 1000. The crowd pops at that announcement as Triple H smirks. Paul also tells Triple H to watch his friend’s back before he bursts out in an evil laugh before his disappears from the tron. The COO is confused as RAW goes to a break. [/li][li] DIVAS CHAMPION LAYLA, KELLY KELLY, AND ALICIA FOX DEF. BETH PHENOIX, EVE, AND NATALYA: This match saw the return of three divas in Kelly Kelly, Eve, and Beth Phenoix. Layla was able to pick up another win tonight after hitting Natayla with the Lay-Out. [/li][li]As the three divas celebrate in the ring we cut to another RAW 1000 moment. This time it’s SmackDown superstar The Miz talking about the night he cashed in the Money in the Bank and beat Randy Orton to become the WWE Champion. [/li][li]Backstage Lillian Garcia is standing with John Cena to a massive pop. She asks about his loss to Tensai last night, and if he feels he can beat him tonight to become the Number One Contender. Cena says it was a tough loss last night, but he’s always confident in his ability. He tells her if you doubt yourself for one second in this business you’ll never make it. He says he’s going to go out there tonight in a blaze of a furry and he will beat Tensai tonight! Cena promises that next week he will meet Sheamus in the main event of RAW 1000, and win or lose, they are going to put on the best of all 1000 main events. Before Cena leaves he is interrupted by Wade Barrett. You can cut the tension with a knife as Barrett tells John whether or not he’s the World Champion at the end of next week, the barrage is going right through him. He smirks and walks off, as Cena calls for him to come back. Up next is our main event! [/li][li] NO HOLDS BARRED NUMBER ONE CONTENDER MATCH: JOHN CENA DEF. TENSAI: Sheamus was out at ringside doing commentary for the match. Despite the message from Barrett, Cena kept his head in the game. Tensai had him set up for the Chokebomb, but he spent too much time taunting Sheamus, allowing Cena to hit him with the AA through a table! [/li][li]The crowd pops as Cena leaps up and celebrates his win. Sheamus gets up and the two make eye contact. They share a few words before Sheamus holds up his title and leaves. Cena watches him the entire time, unaware that an irate Tensai is back up. Once Sheamus finally leaves, Cena turns around and gets planted by a huge Chokebomb! The crowd boos as the referee tries to get Tensai out of there, but Tensai throws him out of the ring! Tensai makes his way to the outside and starts to tear up the ringside area. He throws the time keeper to the floor as he continues to destroy the ringside area, flipping over the announcers table and ripping up the floor mat! RAW goes off the air with an enraged Tensai destroying everything in sight.[/li][/ul] WWE.com EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: In a short WWE.com video, RAW General Manager Booker T promised to deal with Tensai next week on RAW 1000.
Also not sure if Superstars is still around, I just thought it would be some nice extra detail.

Friday Night SmackDown! | July 20th, 2012 | San Diego, CA
- Cutting directly to the arena following the WWE signature, cameras scanned over the audience as Tony Chimel made a very special introduction. "Please welcome......the NEW WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes!" The theme of Cody hit as he made his way out to the stage, unzipping his vest to reveal the WWE Championship around his waist. He made his way down to the ring as the audience bombarded him with boos. Rhodes grabbed a microphone, saying that this past Sunday will forever be etched in WWE history. He did just as he said he would and he captured the SmackDown Money In The Bank briefcase. At that moment while standing on top of the ladder, he proved to the entire world that Cody Rhodes is the future of the industry. But he didn't stop there. By night's end, he wasn't "Cody Rhodes, Mr. Money In The Bank." He saw an opportunity, took it, and became "Cody Rhodes, WWE Champion." "And the best part about it is that nobody saw it coming. Just like how no one thought I would be the breakout star of the Legacy. Just like how no one thought I would bring honor and prestige back to the Intercontinental Championship. And just like how no one thought I would be able to surpass the name value of both my father and brother. I am now the Rhodes, and the WWE Champion!" As Rhodes smirked and chuckled to himself, CM Punk's theme hit as the audience stood to their feet. The former WWE Champion marched down to the ring, not wasting any time as he got right in Cody's with a pipebomb ready in hand. "Cody, I'm not going to say 'how dare you cash in your Money In The Bank briefcase on a fatigued champion' because that would be incredibly hypocritical of me." Punk said that being someone who has two World Heavyweight Championship reigns under his belt because of Money In The Bank, he can't be mad at Cody for taking advantage of an opportunity that he and majority of the roster themselves would take. "But just because I'm not mad at you doesn't mean I'm going to allow you to walk around here with my WWE Championship. So Cody, I'm here to inform you that by the end of the night, that championship is coming home with me because I'm invoking my rematch clause." The audience popped as Rhodes was furious, telling Punk that he is in no way ready to defend his championship tonight. "And I was ready for your cash in on Sunday?" asked Punk before leaving the ring with a smirk on his face.
- Returning to SmackDown a recap was shown of the opening segment, where CM Punk announced that he will be invoking his rematch clause tonight against new WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. Speaking of Rhodes, he was shown backstage barging into Vickie Guerrero's office. He shouted at the General Manager, telling her that he just competed in a ladder match on Sunday. There's no way he can go out there tonight and defend his WWE Championship. Vickie said that while she understands where Cody is coming from, CM Punk's contract does state that he is entitled to a rematch for the championship. If Punk wants that match tonight, then there's nothing anybody can do about it. Cody stormed out of the room, slamming the door shut.
- Cutting to the arena, the lights shut as the light up jacket was shown on the stage. Chris Jericho made his way down to the ring to a huge reception from the San Diego audience as he prepares for tag team match. Prior to the match, a graphic was shown revealing a one on one match between Jericho and the Miz next Monday on RAW 1000.
- ALBERTO DEL RIO AND THE MIZ DEF. CHRIS JERICHO AND ZACK RYDER: After all four men came up short in the Money In The Bank ladder match on Sunday, a win here would have helped them towards rebounding. Miz and Jericho both subsequently took each other as they brawled into the crowd. In the ring, Ryder missed a Broski Boot, allowing Del Rio to lock in the Cross Armbreaker and get the submission victory.
- Del Rio released the hold on Ryder as Ricardo announced him as the winner. Alberto didn't appear to be in a celebratory mood as he instantly made his way to the back. Cameras cut to the brawl between Jericho and Miz as they made their way back to the ringside. Miz got the better of Jericho, catching him with a clothesline before placing him onto the announce table. As Miz was picking him up, Jericho was able to quickly respond as he pulled Miz down by his legs, locking him in the Walls of Jericho on the announce table. Miz screamed in agonizing pain, submitting repeatedly before essentially passing out. Jericho released the hold as he stood tall over Miz, ready to do the same on RAW 1000.
- Backstage, cameras were in the Divas lock room as Divas Champion Layla was shown getting ready for her match later on tonight. Suddenly, AJ walked into the room. She put her bags down as Layla stared at her. "What is it?" asked AJ before Layla stuttered "You're....you're alright." "Yeah. Why wouldn't I be alright?" asked AJ as she left the room, Layla clearly puzzled as to why AJ is seemingly okay after being abducted by "Dean" at Money In The Bank.
- Returning from the commercial break, Alberto Del Rio was shown walking backstage, shouting at Ricardo to go get his keys. Losing the Money In The Bank ladder match clearly has put Del Rio in a more frustrated mood. He was soon approached by Vickie Guerrero, whom he tried to greet sincerely. Vickie told him that she was just informed of a bit of news. "Alberto, as the General Manager of SmackDown, it's my job to provide the bets show possible, despite how the superstars may react. That also means I have to make the most of the time SmackDown will be given on RAW 1000. I was just informed that a certain superstar is ready to return from the injury reserve list. Next Monday, you will go one on one with the returning Rey Mysterio." The audience erupted as Del Rio's eyes widened. Ricardo was back, trying to hand Del Rio his keys. Del Rio swatted them out of his hands as he stormed away.
- UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP - DAMIEN SANDOW DEF. SANTINO MARELLA: Just as CM Punk will be invoking his WWE Championship rematch clause tonight, Santino and the Cobra decided to invoke theirs as well. Nothing changed from the result of Money In The Bank as Sandow was able to plant Santino with the Illumination to gain the victory.
- Backstage, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was shown in his his locker. The championship sat on his knee as his hands covered his face, still distraught that he must defend against CM Punk tonight. AW soon walked into the room, telling Cody that he's got nothing to worry about. He's WWE Champion for a reason. "You know, All World Promotions could use a man of your caliber. Why don't you think about it, champ?" Michael McGillicutty told his manager that now wasn't a good time to ask any potential clients. After AW left, McGillicutty told Cody that as much as he would've liked to have captured Money In The Bank himself, he's at least glad that it was someone similar to him. "Cody, people like us are just born better. It doesn't matter if we're prepared for a match or not. Wrestling is in your blood, just remember that." McGillicutty left the room as Cody continued to stare endlessly at the walls.
- Returning to SmackDown, Vickie Guerrero was shown in her office when Divas Champion Layla walked in, who Vickie had asked for. The SmackDown General Manager informed Layla that next Monday on RAW 1000, she will be defending her championship in a Fatal Four Way match. "OK. That's fine, Vickie. But just throwing this out there. Even with four Divas in the ring at the same time, I think there's still more weight in the ring with you in there." "Excuse me?!?" shouted Vickie as Layla laughed before leaving the room.
- Cutting to the arena, the theme of AJ hit as she skipped her way down to the ring. She seemed perky as always, and unharmed. Still images from Money In The Bank were shown, including both her fall from the ring apron, and "Dean" coming to her aid to carry her out of the arena. This is the first time anyone has seen or heard from AJ since Sunday, which explains why many are surprised to see her in a rather normal mood. She grabbed a microphone, saying that she was honored to have been the special guest referee for an incredible WWE Championship match on Sunday. "I know CM Punk didn't leave Phoenix with the title, but it was still a great match and that's all that matters! Oh and don't worry, I'm fine after falling from the ring apron. It's kind of become a usual occurrence for me when you think about it. And....that's about it. Thank you all for your time!" The audience remained quiet as AJ did not address "Dean." Suddenly, fire blasted from the stage as Kane's entrance music hit. The Big Red Monster marched down to the ring as AJ smiled at him. "Kane, I think there was something you were going to ask me last week. So.....why not start where we left off?" asked AJ. Kane said that he's been worried sick about her since Sunday. He's had enough and is demanding right now that she tell him who Dean is? "I didn't say 'Dean.' I said 'mean.' As in that was very mean of that man to attack you. I have no idea who he is." Kane then asked why he would abduct her if she didn't know him. "You know, I don't think that was the same guy. It was probably just a worker who picked me up at Money In The Bank because I woke up in my locker room just fine." Kane told AJ that it was the same guy. He knows that she's protecting him. If she wants to make him go the long way, that's fine. But when he finds out who "Dean" is...."Kane, yes. Yes, I will marry you," said AJ. Kane told AJ that he'll agree to marry her if she can answer one question with complete honesty. "Do you know 'Dean?'" AJ told Kane that she has no clue who he is. "......OK. The wedding is Monday," said Kane. AJ's face lit up as Kane did his pyro taunt, the two making their way to the back. AJ remains persistent on not knowing who "Dean" is. But nonetheless, it looks like we have another WWE wedding set for RAW 1000.
- Returning to SmackDown, Scott Stanford was standing by with Antonio Cesaro. Stanford asked what's next for the former Rugby player after he failed to capture the Money In The Bank briefcase. Cesaro told Stanford that he cannot believe he has the audacity to disrespect him like that. "You will never again use the term 'failed' when discussing Antonio Cesaro. 'Delayed' is what happened. My rise to the top has simply been delayed. But it is inevitable. Sooner or later, I will become WWE Champion. Understand that the Cesaro Saga will soon commence."
- DIVAS CHAMPION LAYLA DEF. AKSANA: A decent Divas bout here to get Layla prepared for her Fatal Four Way defense next Monday. She hit Aksana with a Layout to get the victory.
- Layla was handed back her Divas Championship as she raised it high in the air ready for RAW 1000. As she was making her way up the entrance ramp, she was met by David Otunga. He handed her an envelope. "Ms. Guerrero has decided to take legal action for your comments earlier this evening."
- Backstage, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was shown putting the wrist tape on his right hand when Alex Riley walked in. Riley told him that it was pretty low what he did on Sunday. "Punk said that he doesn't have an issue with your cash in, but I do. Punk went through a war with Kane, and you just swoop in and take the WWE Championship. I have no doubt that this is your first and only SmackDown with that title." As Riley was leaving, Rhodes blasted him in the back of the head with the title. Cody told Riley that he appreciates honesty, but not when it's pure stupidity.
- Returning to the arena, the theme of Michael McGillicutty hit as he made his way down to the ring along with his agent, AW. The owner of All World Promotions said that Money In The Bank didn't exactly go according to plan. But there's nothing to worry about because Michael McGillicutty will see gold soon. It's in his blood, and you can't deny lineage. And with someone like him at Mike's side, the sky is the limit. "So right now, we're out here to issue an open challenge to anyone. And we mean anyone. Don't be afraid to step up and stand face to face with the future." Before AW could finish talking, the theme of Ryback hit. He made his way out to the stage, staring at McGillicutty and AW with his cold, red eyes. As he was marching towards the ring, AW said that he and McGillicutty don't need this right now. "Another time, pink eye. Not tonight." They left the ring as Ryback looked on at them, continuously shouting "Feed me more!"
- Backstage, WWE Champion CM Punk was shown making his way down to the ring. He gets his rematch with Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship, next.
- A promo was shown for SummerSlam, live Sunday August 19th, only on pay-per-view.
- Returning to SmackDown, Michael Cole and Matt Striker briefly ran down SmackDown's side of things for RAW 1000. It's the return of Rey Mysterio as he meets the man responsible for him missing nearly a year of action, Alberto Del Rio. Two rivals collide as Chris Jericho and the Miz square off. The now-sued Divas Champion Layla defends her title in a Fatal Four Way match. The wedding that nobody could've ever imagined takes place as Kane and AJ unite in holy matrimony. And finally, the always controversial Piper's Pit returns with a guest who spews controversy, CM Punk. But will Punk once again be carrying the WWE Championship on Monday?
- WWE CHAMPIONSHIP - CM PUNK DEF. CODY RHODES VIA DQ: As Tony Chimel gave the pre-match introductions, you could feel the audience's excitement for this main event as they chanted Punk's name in unison. After the bell sounded, Punk and Cody circled around in the ring, not taking their eyes off one another. Suddenly, Cody delivered a slap to the referee. Confused, the official had no choice but to call for the bell.
- Cody was drained in boos as Punk's face was shown in disbelief. Tony Chimel announced that due to a disqualification, CM Punk is the winner, but Cody Rhodes is still the WWE Champion. After Cody was handed back the title, Punk clotheslined him over the top rope. The former champion snapped at that point, picking up the gold and smacking Rhodes in the face with it. He delivered repeated strikes to Cody as several officials were on the scene, trying to calm him down. Punk picked Cody up, hitting him with a GTS. He did so once again as a referee tried to pull him away. Punk pushed the official before hoisting Cody to his shoulders one more time. Rather than delivering a usual GTS, Punk walked towards the steel steps, dropping Cody face first onto them. The audience continued to chant Punk's name as he furiously made his way up the entrance ramp, knowing that Cody weaseled his way out of this match to remain WWE Champion.

RAW: - Got no problems with you including Superstars, though it was bizarre to see Big Show on there considering he just competed in the World Championship match at Summerslam. - Big announcement to kick off RAW, I'd be up for either a Sheamus / Tensai or Sheamus / Cena match for the RAW 1000, especially with Stone Cold as the special referee. I think Austin's absent on RAW 1000 was definitely felt, so it's good to see you using him in this way. - Big opening match here, it's great to see the Prime Time Players taking the titles, I really think that they should have won them at Money in the Bank but that's a small thing. Also, the ending was great, really enjoying Long as a heel manager. - Okay, this was bizarre. Putting your World Champion in on the second match on the show, traditionally a bit of a pointless spot, just didn't work for me at all. - Great tag team match here, I'm loving how you've been using the midcard recently, especially with Ziggler and Christian. An Intercontinental Championship match between the two is going to be huge, and the ladder stipulation is just awesome. Can't wait for that one. - Nice little angle with Daniel Bryan here, the fact is he's probably the most entertaining guy in WWE right now and the fact that he can just shift from serious to comedy so well means he's perfect for skits like this. - Solid win for Barrett here, having him go over Brodus makes him look strong. I would've swapped this round with the Sheamus / Drew match though. - Nice way to move the Triple H / Brock Lesnar feud forwards without having to have Lesnar appear. - Bit of a throwaway Diva's match here, but a decent way to get them on the show. - Interesting bit with Cena / Barrett there, do I spy the start of a feud? - Pretty big main event, the no holds barred stipulation really added something extra to it in my eyes. I was kind of hoping for a Tensai victory, but Sheamus against Cena makes a lot more sense on the whole for such a landmark show. - A decent show but I was expecting a bit more in parts. There was a few booking choices here and there that I wasn't sure on and other than the main event not a lot shone through, but it did the job and built towards RAW 1000 so there's not a lot more you can ask from it.

SmackDown:
- Great opening segment, obviously Rhodes needs to be front and center tonight to help build him up as a serious world champion and a rematch with Punk is probably as big as you're going to get on a post pay per view edition of SmackDown. - Great opening contest here, using the momentum from Money in the Bank well. Del Rio getting the submission keeps him strong and the brawl between Miz and Jericho does the job of building to their RAW 1000 match, which should be awesome by the way. - Mysterio returning at RAW 1000 makes a lot more sense than a random return the week before, and pitting him against Del Rio was the obvious route to go down. Looking forward to it. - Solid win for Sandow, hoping you give him a proper feud as champion heading forwards. - Interesting segment with Rhodes and McGillicutty, I've really got no idea where you're going with it but knowing you it'll be good. - Glad to see Punk moving away from the AJ angle, and I'm guessing we'll be getting a Kane / Ambrose feud moving forwards, which should be very interesting indeed. Can't wait for the marriage segment, and it's not every day I say that. - Decent win for Layla here, the 'legal action' angle is either going to be interesting or really really bad. Obviously I'm hoping for the former, but I don't hold out much hope. - Cool angle with Alex Riley, even if it was just to put Rhodes over as a bit of a psycho. - Nice segment with Ryback and McGillicutty, I'm loving what you're doing with McGillicutty quite frankly, you've done more with him in a month than WWE managed since he debuted. Also, the pink eye comment was gold. Can't wait to see this feud go down. - Usually I'm not a fan of these kind of dusty finishes where the main event finishes before it starts, but I understand it here. It puts Rhodes over as a heel and as long as it doesn't become the norm for his title run then I'm okay with it. - a very good post pay per view match that definitely set up some interesting angles moving forwards. You've definitely got me interested in Rhodes' title run (as if I wasn't already) and McGillicutty. Keep it up.

As they get in the ring Shawn tells Triple H he’s getting too old to do this. Hunter tells Shawn he can tell by his hairline, and since he knows this might be a little much more him, he’s got a surprise in store for him. Shawn looks confused and Triple H asks him “Oh, you didn’t know?” The crowd pops as Shawn still looks confused. Triple H points to the stage as the theme of DX hits again, this time the New Age Outlaws and X-Pac come out! D-Generation X proudly presents to you the five time WWE tag team champions of the WORLD! The “Road Dogg” Jess James! The “Bad Man” Billy Gunn! The New Age Outlaws!” The crowd pops as Triple H takes the microphone and does the usual DX routine, but a conflict erupts as Billy Gunn and Shawn are split on who gets to say “AND IF YOU’RE NOT DOWN WITH THAT…..” They start to get into an argument, only for the theme of Brock Lesnar to hit! DX is surprised as they all look up to the stage, Paul Heyman making his way out to heat from the crowd. Heyman takes a microphone and tells Hunter he’s been doing this all wrong. He shouldn’t be out here wasting his time acting like a juvenile delinquent when he is only weeks away from the fight of his life with BROCK LESNAR! Triple H tells Heyman he may be right, so perhaps he should get himself ready, and what better way to get ready for a fight with Brock Lesnar than by beating the crap out of the man closest to him? The crowd pops as Heyman shakes his head no and backs away from Triple H, only to be hit with Sweet Chin Music from Shawn! Things go from bad to worse as he falls right into a pedigree! Gunn and HBK say in unison “if you’re not down with that we got two words for ya’” followed by a “SUCK IT!” from Waltman. DX sets off their pyro as the Outlaws dump Heyman from the ring, RAW 1000 going to a break.
1. WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS) THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS Defeated KOFI KINGSTON & R-TRUTH & PRIMO & EPICO. R-Truth was distraught the entire match, worried about Little Jimmy. The Prime Time Players sealed the win as Teddy Long distracted the ref, allowing Young to hit Primo with a low blow and Titus to come in with a Spinebuster for the win.
- The crowd booed as the Prime Time Players celebrated their victory with the tag team titles. Kofi and Truth began arguing on the outside while Primo and Epico tried to tell the referee what happened.
- Backstage, Santino Marella was sitting on a crate, speaking to the Cobra. He told the Cobra not to worry as they'll someday have the United States Championship back with him. That's when Damien Sandow stepped into the scene. "I sincerely apologize to both you and your 'friend.' The United States Championship is now in my possession, and will be for a remarkable period of time." Santino told Sandow that he wants him to say that to the Cobra's face. "I refuse to stoop to your level and speak to an inanimate object." Santino told Sandow that he just needs to be more comfortable with the Cobra. He told the United States Champion that he can pat the Cobra on his head. "I do not want to touch your Cobra's head," said Sandow. After he said, he turned around and was met by Ron Simmons, who let out a huge "Damn!" before walking away.
- Backstage Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and X-Pac are walking down a corridor. Hunter asks where Billy and Road Dogg went, both Shawn and X-Pac saying they haven’t seen them since they split up backstage. The trio enters a room, and they find both Billy Gunn and Road Dogg out on the floor, Gunn clutching his arm! Triple H shouts “WAS IT HIM? WAS IT LESNAR?” Shawn and X-Pac try to help them up and Hunter still tries to get an answer out of them. Road Dogg finally nods that it was Brock as Triple H storms out of the room, Shawn tries to stop him, but it’s no use.
2.WWE DIVA’S CHAMPIONSHIP) LAYLA Defeated TAMINA, AKSANA & ROSA MENDES. A decent Divas Championship bout here with the defending champion and the other three Divas on SmackDown. After Tamina took out both Aksana and Rosa, she was caught with a Layout from Layla, giving her the victory.
- Layla was handed back the Divas Championship as she raised it high in the air, successfully defending it here on RAW 1000. However, she may have other issues ahead of her with the lawsuit from SmackDown General Manager, Vickie Guerrero
- Before our next match Christian is shown backstage warming up for his match. As the camera zooms out more we can see he’s talking to Edge to a huge pop from the crowd. Edge wishes Christian luck before telling him after he retains his title tonight, they should do a 1000 second pose! Christian smirks, but then Dolph Ziggler walks into the room. Christian asks what he wants and Ziggler makes a remark saying he just wanted to give Christian a heads up that after he takes his Intercontinental Championship tonight, he’ll wind right up in the retirement home just like Edge. Ziggler smirks and says he even thinks that after tonight, Edge will be more capable of wrestling a match than him! Dolph leaves the room as he says “later, marks” as Edge and Christian look irate!
3. LADDER MATCH FOR THE WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP) CHRISTIAN Defeated DOLPH ZIGGLER. In a fantastic ladder match for the ages, Christian grabbed the championship after throwing Ziggler off the ladder onto another that was spread across the top turnbuckle.
- The crowd popped as Christian celebrated with his Intercontinental Championship on top of the ladder. Edge came out to the ring, and as they cleared all the ladders out he took a microphone. “And now, for the benefit of those with flash photography…..” he said as the duo engaged in a classic Five Second Pose as RAW 1000 went to a break.
- The ring was set and ready for the most controversial show in WWE history, Piper's Pit. The theme of the Hotrod hit as he made his way out to a great ovation from the St. Louis audience. Piper marched down to the ring as the commentators quickly recapped the events at the end of last week's SmackDown between WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and CM Punk. Piper welcomed everyone to Piper's Pit here on the 1000th episode of Monday Night RAW. "And I don't care if this show is three hours. I'm not wasting any time. Ladies and gentlemen, CM Punk!" Another loud pop emerged from the crowd as the former WWE Champion made his way down to the ring. Piper welcomed Punk, saying that it's good to have him back. "What do you mean 'it's good to have me back?'" asked Punk. Piper said that they are both a lot alike. They speak their minds, voice their opinions, and aren't afraid of what others may think. "So just like you, I'm going to shoot a few bullets right now. Punk, last year, you held this company hostage. You aired your grievances and demands, and guess what? The WWE gave in. You got what you wanted. But as time went on, you went soft. Dare I say....you became everything that you hated." Punk told Piper that as much as respects him, he has to disagree. He never went soft. He's always been the CM Punk that the WWE Universe knows and either loves or hates. "Really? Would the true CM Punk allow himself to take a backseat to John Cena and the Rock and Brock Lesnar? Would the true CM Punk allow himself to not headline PPv's while having the best WWE Championship reign in years? Would the true CM Punk allow himself to be manipulated by a sweet little girl?" Punk said that he's heard those points countless times, and is a bit disappointed that Roddy also shares them. "Hotrod, I was always the main event. It didn't matter if I went on last or not. I never took a backseat to anyone because being the WWE Champion means that you're the top star no matter where you are on the card," said Punk. "But where's that WWE Championship now? Oh right, it's around the waist of Cody Rhodes now because you allowed yourself to be the victim of a Money In The Bank cash in. And the CM Punk that I've been seeing the past few months wouldn't have done a damn thing about it. But last Friday, you showed some life. I finally saw the CM Punk that I know and love. Cody Rhodes tried to feed you crap, and you threw it right back in his face. That's the Punk I want to see from here on out." As Piper was rambling on, the theme of Cody Rhodes to a chorus of boos. Cody made his way out to the stage, but without the WWE Championship. Only a bag. Rhodes said that it's very fitting for the 1000th episode of Monday Night RAW to feature the man who will lead the company into episode 2000. "You?!" said Piper before busting out with laughter. "Yes, Piper. Me. The WWE Champion. You know, something you never achieved?" said Rhodes. Piper immediately stopped laughing and stared at Rhodes with a serious glance. Cody turned his attention to Punk, saying that whether he likes it or not, his rematch is gone. "No more, that's it. The 'Best in the World' has to once again take a back seat." Punk told Cody that he at least never forgot his championship title. "I didn't forget the WWE Championship," said Cody. "You see, I am proud to be the champion. What I'm not proud of is walking around with that hideous design that the WWE tries to pass off a championship title. When you look at that title, you think of names such John Cena, Randy Orton, Triple H.....and you, Punk. I don't want my name next to theirs in history. I'm making my own legacy. Which is why I felt it was time for a change." After Cody said that, he unzipped the cloth bag and took out the classic Winged Eagle championship. "This is the championship that I will be using to cement myself in history. When you look at this championship, you think of true legends such as Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Randy Savage, and Hulk Hogan. Those are the superstars who I will mark my spot next to. Finally, the WWE has both a champion and a championship that they can be proud of." Cody raised the new championship design high in the air before leaving the ring as Punk and Piper looked on.
4.) REY MYSTERIO Defeated ALBERTO DEL RIO
. A huge reception from St. Louis for the returning Rey Mysterio. Revenge was on his mind against the man who took him out almost a year ago. And it was a successful attempt for Mysterio as he hit Del Rio with the 619, followed by a Springboard Splash to get the victory. [/li][li]We are taken backstage to where Triple H is in search of Brock Lesnar. “The Game” asks multiple staff members where he is to no answers. Finally Shawn catches up to him and Hunter snaps “where’s Sean?” Shawn says he lost him because he chased after him [Triple H]. Hunter asks if Shawn is crazy by leaving him alone before rushing back down the hallway at the sound of a cry of pain. As DX turns the corner they see X-Pac laying on the floor holding his arm as he says “he snapped it! He snapped it!” Triple H was fuming while Shawn looked a little more concerned. [/li][li]The theme of John Cena hits to a mixed reaction from the crowd. Cena makes his way out to the ring, saying tonight is the biggest night in the HISTORY of Monday Night RAW, so it’s only fitting that he will reclaim the World Heavyweight Championship here tonight. Cena says he knows this year has had up and downs for him. He’s been tortured by the likes of Kane and he even lost to the Rock at WrestleMania. He says tonight that all comes around and everything he has worked for in his career comes down to tonight as he will close the biggest RAW ever as World Champion. Suddenly the theme of Sheamus hits to a pop from the crowd. Sheamus tells Cena has the most respect for him he could have, “but the bottom line is I’m walking in and out of RAW 1000 as the World Heavyweight Champion.” Sheamus and Cena get into a war of words as the theme of Stone Cold hits, the crowd going wild! Austin makes his way out to the ring and says tonight he is the special guest referee, and he is going to ensure the best man walks out the World Heavyweight Champion. He says he knows a lot of guys like Big Show, Tensai, and even Wade Barrett have their eyes on the match tonight; but if they try anything you’d be a fool not to bet I’ll open up the biggest can of whoop ass in the history of RAW. The crowd pops as Austin makes a stern warning to them “and if you two step out of the line in this match or even look at me the wrong way, you can except the same thing.” Austin goes for his catchphrase, but he is interrupted by the theme of the Rock! The “people” go insane as Rock shares a heated look with all three men before taking a microphone. After addressing all three men Rock says he wants to make one thing clear. “Whether it be the WWE or World Heavyweight Championship. Whether it’s Sheamus, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, or even you, Cena…. The Rock will be World Champion once again! If ya smell what the Rock is cooking!” Rock’s theme hits as all four men have perhaps the biggest stare down of all time in the ring. [/li][li]Backstage, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was shown leaving the arena, the Winged Eagle design that he re-introduced earlier tonight draped over his shoulder. As he was walking, he ran into Bret Hart. The Hitman looked at the WWE Championship for a bit, saying that has a lot of great memories with that title. "And honestly, Cody, I don't believe you deserve to hold that championship. You cashed in a briefcase on a fatigued CM Punk, and you retained the title on SmackDown by slapping the referee. You're bringing more shame than prestige to that title that guys like myself helped establish," said Bret in reference to the Winged Eagle design. Cody said that sooner or later, he's going to make a believer out of Bret. Along with the rest of the world, he'll watch as he becomes the greatest WWE Champion of all time. "And unlike you, no one is going to screw me out of it," said Cody as he continued on. 5. RAW 1000 BATTLE ROYAL) BIG SHOW WINS, last eliminating VADER. Other Participants Included: Kofi Kingston, R-Truth, Primo, Epico, Drew McIntyre, Big Show, Wade Barrett, Jack Swagger, Sin Cara, Steve Blackman, Rikishi, Vader, JTG, Darren Young, Titus O’ Neil, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Sgt. Slaughter, Doink the Clown, Jerry Lawler, and Kharma (making her surprise return).[/li][li]Following the match the Big Show takes the microphone saying after dominating 19 of RAW’s past and present superstars, it’s only fitting he gets his rightful rematch for the World Championship at SummerSlam. He says if he doesn’t get an answer by next week, he’ll get one out of Booker T the hard way. Following Show’s announcement we are to the office of Booker T. Booker is talking to someone who appears to be the head of security, saying he wants Big Show out of the arena now so he doesn’t disrupt his main event. The guard follows orders and leaves, but suddenly Tensai rushes into the room and attacks Booker! The crowd gaps as the beast hits strike after strike, security finally rushing back into the room. They pry Tensai away from the GM and forces him out of the office as Booker is left on the floor, stunned and in pain. [/li][li]The ring was now set and ready for the wedding that the entire world never thought they would see. Jerry Lawler was in the ring as he introduced the minister for the wedding, WWE Hall of Famer, Ted DiBiase Sr.! The Million Dollar Man made his way out to a warm reception, ready to bring together the oddest couple in WWE history. Kane's pyro blasted as he marched down to the ring. After settling in the ring, AJ was out next. She slowly made her way down to the ring, smiling endlessly at her future husband. DiBiase Sr. began the ceremony, asking for the two to exchange vows. AJ told Kane that while others see him as a tormented monster, she's always seen the good in him. And it's the good in him that has brought them together. She believes that she can show the world that deep down, Kane is a loving, caring individual. Kane said that prior to AJ, he had only been in two other relationships. "If our marriage ends up like one of those, you'll either die or suffer a miscarriage. I promise to do my best to make this one last," said the Big Red Monster. DiBiase Sr. then asked that if there was anyone who believes that Kane and AJ should not be wed, now was their time to speak up or forever hold their peace. No interruptions occurred as DiBiase was about to pronounce them husband and wife. Suddenly, "Dean" made his way out to the stage. Kane immediately tried to go after him, but AJ stopped him. Dean marched down to ringside, telling Kane that he has answers and is prepared to present them now. "My name is Dean Ambrose." This meant that AJ was indeed right as she knew of his identity. "I've known AJ since we were children. As you can tell, she is a sweet, innocent girl. And as you can tell, Kane is a monster. A monster who will take AJ, manipulate her, torment her, and morph her into a monster as well. I'm a monster too. AJ doesn't deserve the pain that monsters such as me and you have endured, Kane. You're not marrying her, and you're never seeing her again after tonight." Ambrose stepped into the ring, grabbing AJ's arm and trying to leave with her. Kane turned Ambrose around, though he fought back. AJ watched as Ambrose and Kane exchanged blows, DiBiase Sr. trying to pull them apart. Numerous officials hit the ring to restore order as AJ dropped to the mat crying. [/li][li]Backstage, The Miz was shown making his way down to the ring as he meets Chris Jericho next. Suddenly, he stopped and looked to his side while smirking. Cameras panned out, showing John Bradshaw Layfield. Before Miz could say a word, JBL stopped him. "I know what you're going to say, and it's not necessary. Yes, you have proven me and a load of others wrong about you, Miz. But I'm here to let you know that you can never stop. Chris Jericho has your number, and he has since you returned. If you want to continue to be as 'awesome' as you say you are, get the job done tonight." Miz told JBL that it's nice to see him finally come around and take a liking to him. "No, Miz. I still hate your guts. All I'm saying is that you're not a bad competitor," said JBL before leaving. 6.) THE MIZ Defeated CHRIS JERICHO. A very solid bout here between two men who have been at each other's throats for weeks now. As Jericho was going for the Codebreaker, Miz used one hand to hold onto the ropes, causing Jericho to fall onto his back without hitting the maneuver. Miz got Jericho in a pinning predicament with his feet on the middle rope to steal the victory. [/li][li]The St. Louis audience booed as Miz quickly rolled out of the ring, raising his arms in victory. Jericho was livid, knowing that the victory was stolen from him tonight. Nonetheless, the Miz finally overcomes Jericho here on the 1000th episode of Monday Night RAW. [/li][li]“Somebody Call My Momma” hits to a pop from the crowd as the team of Brodus Clay and Yoshi Tatsu dance their way out to the ring. Brodus takes a microphone and says he wants to make RAW 1000 the “funkiest” episode of all time, so give a big hand to his good pal Dude Love! Love makes his way out to the ring to the pleasure of the fans, Love joining the team in the ring. The trio dance to Clay’s theme song as many fans join in from their seats. The party is crashed by an unfamiliar theme song as a husky man makes his way out to the stage in a tropical shirt and straw hat. The man has a microphone and says his name is “Bray Wyatt.” He walks down to the ring as he speaks, calling out Mick Foley for not know what true love is. Bray says he knows what REAL love is, it’s what you can feel. He says he knows everyone is hurting. Bray Wyatt can heal you. Bray Wyatt will heal everyone and protect everyone with true love. All you need to do is STAND UP and FEEL Bray Wyatt. Feel the POWER that he possesses. The power that IS Bray Wyatt. He laughs and tells everyone that he is your “salvation.” Bray preaches that nobody can understand you, except him! Join him if you want to be healed. Join him if you want to be protected. Join him if you want to be loved! He finally enters the ring and laughs before saying “tiiiiiiiiime is on my side.” As he finishes speaking he creams Dude with the microphone! The crowd boos as he tosses Yoshi Tatsu out of the ring and fights off Brodus Clay. He hits Brodus with a low blow and dumps him out of the ring before picking up Love and hitting a swinging reverse STO. Wyatt laughs as RAW 1000 heads to a break. [/li][li]Triple H and Shawn Michaels are shown in a room as Shawn is trying to calm Triple H down. Hunter tells him that he needs to find Brock Lesnar now before he heads out the door. Michaels once again gets up in pursuit of him, but once he walks out the door as he grabbed and pressed up against the wall! The camera pans out to show Brock Lesnar holding Shawn up by the collar. Lesnar smirks at him before saying he’ll spare him for tonight, but he’ll be seeing him very soon. Brock throws him down to the floor and walks off, leaving a very strong omen to the “Heartbreak Kid.” [/li][li]Before our main event takes place the theme of Daniel Bryan hits. Bryan skips his usual “YES!” entrance as he heads straight to the ring. He grabs a microphone and says he told everyone he would make the biggest impact on RAW 1000. He says he’s out here right now to do just that because he is going on a strike! He says it’s an injustice that he wasn’t even considered to be on the card tonight, let alone the World Title match! Daniel says there will be NO main event and NO title match because he will not leave this ring until he is added to the match or someone makes him leave! Bryan stands in the ring, waiting for just about a minute when the lights go out and a gong is heard! The crowd goes berserk as when they come back on, Undertaker is in the ring! Daniel is in shock and he runs right into a Chokeslam! ‘Taker stands tall over Bryan until the lights go out again, and when they’re back the “Phenom” has vanished. Bryan uses the ropes to get up, but things go from bad to worse as Stone Cold’s theme hits! Austin makes his way back out, slides into the ring, and hit’s the Stunner on him! The crowd pops as Stone Cold clears the ring for our main event before gulping down two beers.. 7. WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH; SPECIAL REFEREE STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN) SHEAMUS Defeated JOHN CENA At the end of the match Bryan came back out and distracted Austin while Sheamus was down. This allowed Wade Barrett to make his way out from the crowd and nail Cena with the briefcase! Sheamus had no clue what happened as Barrett bailed from the ring. As Cena got back up he got nailed by the Brogue Kick and Sheamus covered for the three. [/li][li]There was a mixed reaction as Austin handed Sheamus the title. Barrett quickly ran back into the crowd and escaped as Bryan smirked on the stage. Bryan chanted “YES! YES! YES!” before leaving as Sheamus and Austin were confused. They ignored him as Cena got back up to his feet. Sheamus took him to the middle of the ring, and the two shook hands despite Cena being hesitant. John was pissed and he walked out of the ring, but as he walked up the ramp the Rock made his way out to the stage! Rock looked directly at Sheamus as the champion raises his title, RAW 1000 going off the air with Cena meeting Rock up at the stage before they looked back up at Sheamus, still with his title in the air. What does Barrett have against Cena? Is their a connection with Barrett and Bryan? How is Cena going to react to being screwed? Is the Rock going after Sheamus' World Title?[/li][/ul]

RAW Side:
- The perfect opening segment with the DX reunion. I like that you kept it pretty close to how it actually went down, but with Heyman taking Sandow’s place to help build up the feud with Brock Lesnar at the same time as it probably should have been. - Good to see the Prime Time Players taking the victory here, they should have had a title run by now. I think that since you’re playing on the friction between Kingston and Truth that they should have actually been involved in the finish though. - Oh damn, Lesnar taking out the NAO is interesting, wonder if it’s the whole ‘take them out one by one’ kind of deal. - I was a bit off about having a ladder match so soon after Money in the Bank, but it really was the only way to settle this feud. Christian going over is fine since it keeps Ziggler free to move up to the main event. Also, love the five second pose. - And another DX member bites the dust. My only problem with the segment is Trips calling X-Pac Sean, since it just wouldn’t happen. Otherwise all is good. - A very interesting segment. I’d have a mark out moment in real life for a Rock / Austin segment in the ring, and this did the job of building to the main event at the same time. I’m expecting that one to be very interesting indeed. - The battle royal was a good way of getting in some current day and past stars that couldn’t really fit in anywhere else. Big Show was a good choice for victor and the rest of the participants were good choices (Steve Blackman!) expect for Barrett, who didn’t need to be in there, and Kharma since it just ruined a potentially good return. - Tensai taking out Booker T does a really good job of getting him some heat. Can’t wait to see where it goes. - Now that’s certainly one way to debut Bray Wyatt. I loved it, I mean I’m not sure on the idea of him entering straight into a feud with Brodus and Yoshi considering you’ve taken the obvious comedy route with them, but attacking Love would get him a lot of heat. - A good ominous segment with Lesnar finally appearing. You’ve done a good job of building up the Triple H / Lesnar feud here without it overpowering all of the other stuff on the card, so bravo. - Daniel Bryan, The Undertaker and Stone Cold in one segment. Yes! Yes! Yes! Sorry, had to. - A solid main event that left so many things open leading forward. Sheamus going over was the right call in my mind but Bryan and Barrett’s involvement really made things interesting and topped of a great show with some really big questions. Good work.

SmackDown Side:
- You’ve got to have a bit of comedy in here, so I really enjoyed the Sandow / Santino segment even if it’s just because it got Sandow on the show. Also, Ron Simmons is an instant ratings winner. - A good victory here for Layla, though it kind of makes the SmackDown diva’s division look a little light in terms of depth, especially when Tamina is the only challenger who really wrestles full time. - A brilliant edition of Piper’s Pit, much better than the awkward version we actually got. The interaction between Punk and Piper was solid, and Cody stole the scene which isn’t something I was expecting. I like the idea of him bringing in a new title, though I would have much preferred to see something brand new rather than going back to the winged eagle. Meant to be moving forward, not backwards and all that. - A big return and big victory for Rey Mysterio here. Made a lot of sense having him face Del Rio on his return and he had to go over here. It’ll be interesting to see where you take him and Del Rio from here on. - The wedding was always going to be weird, this is a WWE wedding after all, and you didn’t disappoint. I loved DiBiase as the minister, and using this to debut Ambrose and give him some backstory is a really interesting way of doing things. It’s a considerably different way of debuting him and a really good way of throwing him right into a main event level angle. I do think you missed a trick with having Kane tombstone a minister though. - Very interesting segment with John Bradshaw Layfield, I’d love to see him show up again down the line. - Jericho / Miz is a feud that I’d love to see actually happen and I’m really hoping this isn’t the end of it, since there’s plenty more you could do with the pair of them. The ending to the match leaves you wide open for a rematch so I’m hoping to see that. - Considering RAW was the main feature of the show you did a really good job of making SmackDown an integral part, especially without giving away too much for your own show this week which I look forward to seeing.

Friday Night SmackDown! | July 27th, 2012 | Kansas City, MO
WWE Superstars David Otunga def. Alex Riley Zack Ryder def. Heath Slater
- Following the new signature WWE intro, we saw a shot of WWE Headquarters in Stamford, going inside to see WWE Champion Cody Rhodes sitting at a table. The voices of the Board of Directors could be heard, but only Cody could be seen. The WWE Champion was told that his actions last Friday were not that of a champion. Because of that, they have decided that CM Punk will be given another opportunity at the WWE Championship at SummerSlam. Rhodes was livid, telling the Board of Directors that they don't know how to appreciate a true champion. He's done more with the title in two weeks than CM Punk did in 8 months. It's funny how even when he's WWE Champion, he still can't get any respect around here. Rhodes picked the WWE Title up from the table and stormed out of the headquarters.
- Following the SmackDown intro and pyro display, the commentary duo of Michael Cole and Matt Striker welcomed everyone to Friday Night SmackDown, coming off the heels of a historic 1000th edition of RAW. And as we just found out, CM Punk will receive another rematch for the WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam. But tonight, Punk and Rhodes will compete in a tag team match, with both men being allowed to choose their partners. Plus, after the wedding from Hell ended in chaos this past Monday, AJ has vowed to finally tell the truth tonight about the mystery man who we now know as Dean Ambrose.
- The theme of Rey Mysterio hit as the audience here in Kansas city erupted. Rey made his way out to the stage, excited to be back on SmackDown after being on the shelf for nearly a year at the hands of the man he defeated this past Monday, Alberto Del Rio. Mysterio made his way down to the ring and grabbed a microphone, saying that the feeling is indescribable. After being out for almost a year, he finally made his return at RAW 1000 and got his revenge on Alberto Del Rio. But now, he's back on SmackDown. And he understands that he's been gone for a long, long time, but that's not going to stop him. Every time his batteries are re-charged, he sets new goals for himself. And right now, his goal is to once again become WWE Champion! As the audience popped, Alberto Del Rio's theme hit as the Mexican Aristocrat drove out to the arena. He told Rey that while he may have been victorious on Monday, it was a fluke. And a fluke victory does not make one deserving of a WWE Title match. The only man who should be next in line for a shot at the gold is the man who oozes gold. Him, Alberto Del Rio. "You see, Rey, you have done nothing at all to earn a title match. I have been the best in this business since the day I walked in. I should be the No.1 contender for the WWE Champi -" AWESOME! Del Rio was unable to continue as he was interrupted by the arrival of the Miz. "Really, Rey? Really, Del Rio? The only man who deserves a shot at the WWE Championship is the most must see champion in history. It's been far too long since I have held the WWE Title, and I'm not waiting any longer. I don't care if it's Cody Rhodes or CM Punk. I will beat them, stand tall with the WWE Championship high above my head once again, because I'm the Miz....and I'm....." Miz was unable to finish as the lights in the arena shut. The lights on the stage signaled the arrival of Chris Jericho, who said that since he wasn't invited to this little party, he decided to walk in himself. Everybody is wrong. The person who should be next in line for a WWE Championship match is the only man here who would be a guaranteed victory. "Miz, Del Rio, when was the last time either of you had that 'big' victory? And Rey, as good as you are, you've been out for a year. Ring rust is not going to win anybody any championships. This year, I've been the best I have ever been. And I deserve to be WWE Champion." Miz told Jericho that he doesn't know if he has a severe case of short-term memory loss, but he beat him on Monday. "You're the best in the world at what you do? So am I. And what I do is beat Chris Jericho." Jericho smirked before delivering a slap across the face of the Miz. Miz retaliated as the two brawled. Del Rio tried to go after Jericho, but was stopped by Mysterio as they now brawled. The two faces were able to get the upperhand, tossing Miz and Del Rio to the outside.
- CHRIS JERICHO AND REY MYSTERIO DEF. THE MIZ AND ALBERTO DEL RIO: The commercial break, Vickie Guerrero announced a tag team match between the four men who presented their cases as to why they should be next in line for a shot at Cody Rhodes' WWE Championship. The turning point of the match came when Miz bailed on Del Rio as he was going for a tag. After Mysterio hit the Mexican Aristocrat with a 619, he walked right into a Codebreaker as Jericho covered him to get the victory.
- The audience popped as Jericho and Mysterio raised one another's arm in victory. Miz stood on the stage, looking on at the two as the WWE Championship scene has heated up.
- Backstage, AJ was shown arriving to the arena when Scott Stanford approached her, asking what we can expect from her tonight. AJ said that the only thing the world needs to know right now is that everything she says tonight is the absolute truth.
- MICHAEL MCGILLICUTTY W/ AW DEF. SANTINO MARELLA: After dodging Ryback last week, McGillicutty was able to grab a victory for himself over Santino after AW took the Cobra, allowing a Swinging Neckbreaker followed by a pin.
- As McGillicutty and AW were celebrating this victory, a new lyrical theme for Ryback hit as he marched down to the ring. AW told Ryback to come and get some of McGillicutty because he's ready this week. "Ain't that right, Mike?" said AW before McGillicutty left the ring. AW was left all alone with Ryback, trying to give him money to spare him. "You want food, right? Man, let me take you to Cracker Barrel down to the street. It's on me. Just don't hurt me," said AW before Ryback hit him with a massive clothesline. McGillicutty looked on from the stage as Ryback planted AW with Shell Shocked. Ryback stared at McGillicutty, shouting "Feed me more!" as the crowd joined him in the chant.
- Backstage, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was shown saying that it's a joke that he gets no respect around here. "And I can tell that you deserve more respect than you've been getting. We're both champions. The WWE should be kneeling at our feet. So if we're going to get the respect we rightfully deserve, we need to do it together." The camera zoomed out to show United States Champion Damien Sandow. "Cody, I thoroughly agree with you. You and I are both of a more exclusive breed here on SmackDown. A breed that is entitled to an astonishing amount of respect and nothing less. The WWE and its Universe have failed to present us with that respect. So I welcome and accept your sincere offer to join you as your tag team companion tonight." Rhodes thanked Sandow, saying that after tonight, they'll finally get the respect they deserve as SmackDown's champions.
- At this time, the theme of AJ hit as she made her way out to the stage. Rather than skipping, she walked to the ring normally as she was still very upset over what happened during she and Kane's wedding this past Monday on RAW 1000. She grabbed a microphone, saying that Monday was supposed to be the happiest day of her life. But it was ruined by Dean Ambrose. She said that for the the past few weeks, she has been keeping secrets from Kane and the rest of the world. She's known Dean since they were little kids. He was one of the kids in their neighborhood who didn't have many friends because his behavior was very "different." But they became friends because of a bond. That bond was wrestling. One day, Dean got into a fight with parents and ran away. That was the last time she saw him until two weeks ago. She doesn't know why he has suddenly re-surfaced, but felt the need to protect him. That's why she maintained that she didn't know him. But after RAW 1000, she has no compassion for him any longer. "Dean, you ruined my wedding. What was meant to be the happiest day of my life will be etched in my brain as a nightmare." Soon, pyro blasted as the theme of Kane hit. The Big Red Monster marched down to the ring, telling AJ that it's a funny situation. She claimed to love him, yet has been lying to him all this time about Dean Ambrose. She said that she realizes what she did was wrong, and has found a way to make it up to him. "I had David Otunga do a background check on Ambrose, and we found out that he is a trained professional wrestler. Ambrose is now a part of the SmackDown roster, and you're going to face him at SummerSlam." Kane thanked AJ for allowing him the opportunity to take Ambrose and tear him apart. As Kane was doing his pyro taunt, AJ joined him as they did it simultaneously.
- DIVAS CHAMPION LAYLA DEF. TAMINA: A rematch here from Money In The Bank. The result remained the same as Layla hit Tamina with a Layout to get the victory.
- As Layla was celebrating her victory, the audience began booing as SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero made her way out to the stage, along with David Otunga. Layla grabbed a microphone and said that while Vickie and Otunga may think they have her backed into a corner, they're more than wrong. Because she has gone out and found herself a lawyer. Both Vickie and Otunga simply laughed, feeling Layla could not possibly have a good attorney. The Divas Champion said that she and her lawyer will meet them next week.
- Backstage, Rey Mysterio was shown in his locker room when Chris Jericho walked in. He told Rey that even though they were victorious earlier, he needs to understand that they're not friends. Rey said he's well aware of that. They're not friends, and may never be. And he has no problem going through Jericho to get to the WWE Championship. Jericho said that it's ironic Rey said that, because that's exactly what he came to let him know.
- ANTONIO CESARO DEF. JUSTIN GABRIEL: After failing to win Money In The Bank two weeks ago, Antonio Cesaro is set to establish himself as a legitimate threat here on SmackDown. He got off to a good start tonight, putting Justin Gabriel away with the Neutralizer to get the victory.
- Backstage, Alberto Del Rio was shown walking towards his car. He couldn't open the door, struggling for a bit before the Miz rolled the window. "How the hell did you get in my car?!" shouted Del Rio. Miz told him not to worry about that. What he does need to worry about is him because nobody is going to beat him on his chase to the WWE Championship. Del Rio said that Miz does a lot of talking for someone who's idea of an impact is leaving his tag team partner in the middle of a match. Miz told Del Rio that he's just looking out for his best interest, and that doesn't involve wasting his time on superstars below him. Miz got out of the car, telling Del Rio one more time that not him, Jericho, or Mysterio will stop him from once again becoming WWE Champion.
- Cutting to another camera, CM Punk was shown making his way down to the ring. He is set to take on WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and United States Champion Damien Sandow next, but who is his partner?
- A promo was shown for SummerSlam, live August 19th, only on pay-per-view.
- CM PUNK AND RANDY ORTON DEF. WWE CHAMPION CODY RHODES AND UNITED STATES CHAMPION DAMIEN SANDOW: CM Punk's tag team partner was revealed to be the returning Randy Orton, taking a stunned champions duo off of their game. After Punk took out Rhodes with a suicide dive, Orton planted Sandow with an RKO to get the victory.
- The audience popped as Orton stood to his feet, raising his arms in victory for his return match. As the Viper celebrated, CM Punk took Cody Rhodes' new Winged Eagle Championship title, standing over Cody at ringside while raising it high in the air. Punk sends a huge message to Cody tonight that he's looking to reclaim the WWE Championship at SummerSlam.

SmackDown:
- I always find pre-intro segments very hit and miss, and feel like this one could have come at some point during the show, but it isn't really a big deal. What is a big deal is Punk's rematch which, while obviously going to happen, is still going to be very interesting to see. - Pretty good main opening, makes sense with Mysterio's big return on RAW. I liked everyone asserting their case for the number one contenders spot, I can see a four way at Summerslam for the next title shot. The faces going over in the tag match made sense as well, keeps Mysterio's return momentum hot and doesn't really hurt Miz and Del Rio at all. - Solid win for McGillicutty here, I'm loving his push thus far. Bit concerned that it might get derailed with the Ryback feud, but it did give us quite a fun sounding segment with Ryback and AW, so I'm willing to give it a chance. - Rhode Scholars representing in the main event, holla! - As I said this is a very interesting way to bring Dean Ambrose into the mix and place him straight in a main event feud. I'm very interested in the Summerslam match, especially what role AJ will end up playing. - Solid win for Layla here, and I'm very interested in who this 'lawyer' is. I'm hoping for some kind of blast from the past? - Good win for Cesaro here, I'm really hoping to see him get put in a proper feud soon because the guys got the potential to be a future star. - Fun enough segment with Miz and Del Rio to build the whole number one contenders feud. - Orton as Punk's return is a very good way to bring him back from injury, you could have done with a segment at some point to tease the mystery aspect though. Made sense for Punk and Orton to get the win here, though I'm hoping you don't take Cody down the cowardly weak champion route. - A great show to continue building towards Summerslam, you've built a very solid midcard and with Orton's return things are looking stronger than ever. Can't wait to see where things are going next.
