BROKEN - what style of Turtles are you wanting? Cartoon? Video Games? Comics? Movies? Toys? All of these styles are available (as modern figures I mean) plus many more. If it's cartoon style, the next question is are you planning on buying any other characters? You really need to decide this one (and be sure about it) before you start IMO. If there's even a chance you'd want other characters, I'd recommend the NECA "Turtles In Disguise" pack, the headsculpts are way better than previous NECA versions, and obviously there are lots of other characters available in matching style. Though quality control is rather iffy and poseability is limited. If you definetely don't want other characters, I'd recommend the Figuarts Turtles. The quality is great as is the poseability. But Figuarts didn't make any other characters and have seemingly given up on the idea. As Captain McKay said, be careful with collecting vintage, the modern era Playmates is one of the laziest companies in the world and are obsessed with making money in only the cheapest ways possible, and so are constantly rereleasing old Turtles toys. DO YOUR RESEARCH. There are sellers who will sell you a rerelease and pretend it's an original (and will charge you as such), you need to know what differences to look for, if you are truly wanting vintage originals, and make sure to see multiple pictures from multiple angles. Also be aware some of the soft plastics on the originals have a tendency to furr up and discolor even when still factory sealed, though there are techniques to restore them once opened. Though of course if you are happy with rereleases thats easier, but again as Captain McKay said be aware they are not exact replicas in most cases. Colors in particular are often very different. Again - research is the key. There are plenty of resources and databases online for Turtles toys, old and new. I like the cartoon style, and do plan on buying other characters. The NECA frogs 2 packs are on my radar. I like what I see with that line. I’d only collect vintage figures MOC.

Is there a site where I can find a list of all the cartoon Neca figures? Ive been trying to put together a collection of at least one of each of the characters made and just wanted to see how many I might still need.

Just opened up Donatello’s portal. It’s a really cool piece, not sure exactly where I’m gonna put it. The lenticular portal effects are nicely done and pretty sturdy. I like it.

I finally opened one of the Target Exclusive TMNT/Stranger Things Leo and Eleven 2packs I got some weeks ago.
My first thought after getting the Eleven figure out of the package is that it reminded me of the Thunderbirds movie figures from 2004 or Fisher Price's Rescue Heroes. Looked and felt about the same. I understand that was probably the point, what Playmates was going for; a collector toy with retro toy feel and look. "What if we had made Stranger Things toys in the 80s?"
Although I like them, it is a weird set of toys. And its not the theme of the set that throws me off. These figures seem to be toys parading around as collector figures. They are more than kids toys, but they have not graduated to adult figures.
Both figures had loose arm joints, but I still like the set. I hope the line continues. They have released all 4 of the turtles, but not all of the main Stranger Things crew.

I took Eleven’s head off and put a Marvel Legends Jubilee head on it, and put her with a street clothes Wolverine. For what it is, I like it. Leonardo, I actually liked more than I expected to. They finally made turtles without reusing the 2012 toon classics mold, plus I believe the sculpts were done by Phil Ramirez, who used to work on the old Playmates stuff back in the vintage line. As a budget-friendly early Mirage era figure, I think it’s actually really good.

Playmates was going to release a Rise TMNT Hidden City playset. And I totally forgot about it!! I was watching a review of the Rise... sewer playset, and the guy talked about how the sewer lid in the floor was supposed to be what connected a future playset. That Playmates was trying to make a series of playsets that when stacked together would be 10 (toy) stories high. I feel like I would remember hearing rumors of other playsets being released, but I looked into it. And found this... A Hidden City Playset! www.toyark.com/2018/02/17/toy-fair-2018-gallery-playmates-rise-teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-288701(starting around the 9:00min mark) Did I forget about this, and then doubly forgot because it wasn't released? Granted: The series was cancelled in 2019, and all the toys were clearanced out that Xmas. (I still remember all the deals.)

A bunch of figures were on Target’s site this morning. The Mirage TMNT set, Splinter, Battle Damage Shredder, Foot Ninja, and the Toon April, Giant Frog, and Bug Man two pack.

Yeah, I got all the toon stuff about 5:30 Eastern this morning. Random time to put them up, but glad I got them. I also got the TMNT Portal Generator from NECA delivered this week. It's really barebones for what it cost, but it's a cool diorama piece.

Anyone know if the splinter, shredder and foot soldier are exclusive to target? I don’t think so? I believe they may get released on Big Bad down the road. I’m not 100% sure though. I picked up the four turtles from the new movie yesterday. Playmates definitely has issues with collector pieces IMO, but their kid-aimed toy lines are always really fun looking.

In a bit of a "well duh" moment concerning the Playmates retro/re-re-re-release line: Target is getting the same assortment as Walmart.
I was under the impression that only Walmart would be getting Baxter Stockman, Genghis Frog, etc. But I found both of them today at Target. (Not really found, more stumbled across when I went back to the action figure aisle. They were all disheveled, hiding behind other stuff.)
Now if I can just find the foot soldier and the upcoming Rat King. But its good to know that I can stop going to Walmart as much now.
I was really hoping I would find the Mutant Mayhem Turtle Tots today as well. But the new figures were ravaged over with only the villains left.

Man!!! These Mutant Mayhem figures are selling and selling out!! The Target I went to last weekend only had the villains. The Target I just got back from had no figures at all! I really wish Target would get a restock so I could pick up the Turtle Tots.

Has anyone successfully received a napoleon colossus from target? I ordered one the first day they went up, label created 6-27 supposed to arrive 6-29 and i haven't received it so i called and they sent a replacement to arrive this Wednesday the 12th, label created on the 7th which is same day i spoke with them but I'm concerned because it's supposed to arrive in 2 days but tracking shows no movement same as the first one. I think this is supposed to be part of the target summer geek out but went up early so maybe they don't actually have the product yet even though online says they do? I guess if it doesn't come by Wednesday I'll call for a refund and a gift card for my troubles. Just wondering if anybody else is having the same issue?
