Triple H is awesome. The "Reign of Terror" was awesome.

TRiple H disgraced the company the moment he sent the memo to corporate telling them to destroy ECW. Are you happy now, Steph? I sure hope you are, because ECW is RUINED. That is why I don't like HHH but he is a good wrestler, although he is a like at times. Overall I am mixed on him much like most fans are with TNA and Sin Cara

I've always liked him so even if he the IWC's whacky conspiracies were true: who gives a ? The amount of fans who think they have fly on the wall information is laughable.

Triple H never was nor will he ever be on the same level as Hogan, Rock, Austin, Bret, HBK, Cena, and even Punk in terms of star power and popularity.

It's always funny how when one opinion spreads like wildfire and becomes the IWC's 'accepted' opinion. Triple H has a terrible workrate and is only over because of backstage politics, Paul Heyman is a genius, Chris Jericho is god, etc. While I do agree with the latter, none of you actually know what goes on. Triple H is good for business and puts on great matches as far as I'm concerned. You don't need to be a technical wrestling god to put on a good match, because a good match needs a story behind it and Triple H can tell a great story in the ring.

Triple H was getting a push since 1996 - long before dating Stephanie...he was suppose to win KOTR that year but with the curtain call incident in MSG they punished him instead and went with Austin. But in 1997 was when they went full in gear with winning KOTR and pairing him with HBK.
In 98 he was super over with DX and 99-00 was when he become one of the top heels in WWE.
2003-2004 people need to realize, with guys leaving and retiring (Austin, Rock and Lesnar), WWE had to go with HHH and i think loyalty plays a huge factor...Lesnar had his whole career handed to him in two years and took off...WWE had to rely on HHH to carry the RAW brand and WWE as a whole those years. During that time i think HBK had a limited schedule with no house shows and was basically semi-full time so they couldn't have him carry WWE which is why he didn't hold the title during that time. Then came the rise of Cena, Batista, Edge was getting over as heel, Undertaker was working a limited schedule and Orton was still trying to recover from that horrible face run.
HHH earned his spot so this whole backstage politics are just BS and people in the IWC absolutely have no clue what goes on backstage, you're just going by what bitter ex-employees say. Unless you have worked in WWE and know HHH, people really have no right to say HHH uses "backstage powers" or is "insecure about his spot" or "buries the roster", etc.
Its brutal that he gets so much hate, absolutely ridiculous.

The only thing I don't like about him is knowing that he actually had a petition to get Punk fired at one point. That's just... not cool. Other than that, I think he's great--especially everything in-ring-wise. In fact, he was one of my first favorite wrestlers (along with Foley, Edge, and Michaels) growing up back when I started watching in '98.

I remember when Punk did that whole speech about how people were heavily against him coming up, but I don't remember hearing Triple H had a petition to get him fired. Wouldn't surprise me though. And this isn't a question out of spite or anything, but does anyone remember that Raw back in 2007 where even though they were all faces, he randomly pedigreed London and Kendrick for no reason other than they were just there? Was that ever explained?

Was that ever explained? Yeah, I only found out about it within the past year. Punk mentioned it in some radio interview. And, yeah, I do remember what he did to the HooliganZ, mostly because of how much it pissed me off. I'd always read about how he's 'buried' guys before, but never really quite saw it that way. That night... I saw it that way. It was completely unnecessary, and in a moment that really could've gotten them over, he pretty much killed any and all momentum the team would have for the rest of its time together.
