thanks so much, i remember that now, should have looked for it haha whats the difference in the first 2 pics you posted, 'rick' flair has the silver tonning, was this an nwa belt, and the second being ddp's casted yes? so was the origional flair has in that pic, used throughout wcw, or was another made after that one, or was that silver rick belt re painted as i remember reading?

The original belt was the only one used throughout WCW's tenure for the most part. They made the cast copies for a few wrestlers (Jarrett, DDP, Steiner) and they were sometimes used. The original was replated that ugly orange looking color when they made the cast copies I believe. It took away the two tone (dual plated) look.
They used the same belt throughout even when the NWO would spray paint it. Obviously, the story goes that Jarrett took his cast copy to the ring when he fought Hogan. Hogan still has it, thinks it is the original. Steiner possibly switched his cast for the original and still has it. Thus Steiner's cast is what went to WWF. In pics, it looks like Steiner has the original because of the top being bent.
