damn it ben, since we're back onto the nutrition thing with our Ace Crusher barrage, I wanna complain.
I went from 208 last friday to like, 214 over the weekend (cause I gorged on pizza, banana chips, cola bottle candies, and a cheesecake that my awesome Chinese neighbor made, that guy is so nice and I couldn't say no to his offering). now im back to 209 as of this morning. I wanna just go below 200 for once. but I don't wanna lose my beautiful jacked up arm pipes. maybe just lose a little of the skin on the back of them. I DO feel good that when I go to the weight room that i'm not horribly weak, but Im not strong compared to most of the others either. It's actually hard to compare my deads to others because barely no one else I see does deadlifts. Meantime I'm squatting 210 for reps with my ass coming an inch or two from the floor while others are putting 250+ and barely going down at all. so I wanna build muscle. which means building weight. and building weight means my muffin top will extend and my slim 34 jeans and medium-large t-shirts wont fit anymore.
DAMN IT WHAT DO I DO.
all the different maintenance calculators on the interwebz tell me to eat all the way from 2600-3300 to maintain my weight. that's a huge freaking difference. WHAT THE HECK.
i'm still not doing cardio (last time I 'ran' it was a 15 minute sprint session on Saturday after my guilty pizza fest). steady state cardio (like a 30+ minute jog) will just destroy your muscles.
but I have a 20 minute (downhill) walk every weekday, sometimes twice a day. pedometer says that burns 100+ calories, and I always do this during my 16+ hour fast.
okay maybe I'll continue my intermittent fasting schedule and go with a strict 2500 off-day calorie limit (<100 g carbs) and a strict 3000 workout day calorie limit (<300 g carbs).
(workouts are 3 times a week heavy lifting based around incline bench/squat/deadlift/military press. Tuesday back/shoulders and burnout curls, Thursday legs and burnout abs, Saturday chest/tris and burnout curls)
I weighed 205 even at the start of the month. after water weight/glycogen I probably weigh a legit 206-207 (seriously, I overate sooo much between thursday the 6th-sunday the 9th). so If I can realistically and CONSISTENTLY be below 205 by the end of september I will be happy. Slow, steady, lean recomp.
October will take me below 200. november will be bulk-up time (right in time for thanksgiving, finals week, and christmas parties), and I will allow myself to hit a consistent 215 by the end of January (start of new semester). Then I will do a general lean recomp (like I'm trying now) down to about 200 until May. Then I'll take it from there. Lean and ripped Enderson for summer 2013.
okay. just needed to write out my nutritional manifesto. you have no idea how fun it is to write this stuff out. Helps me get my stuff in order and makes me feel responsible by sharing my intentions with others. I just need patience. And I need to not carry banana chips or peanut butter in my pantry. So tasty. So calorically dense. So easy to over eat.

Also, I try to eat something green every day. Broccoli alongside my meats, Spinach thrown in my omelets. High fat. I love my omelets. I sort of replace bread with eggs. Pizza omelets, cheesesteak omelets, cheesy garlic bread omelets (basically the pizza omelet without cheese and pepperoni lol), breakfast sandwich omelet (basically the cheesesteak omelet with bacon instead of thin minute steaks).
All of m omelets are cooked in coconut oil. High in saturated fat, Dr Oz and most of the 'nutrition conscious' would say that is bad...
I limit carbs and sugars, obviously, but I've been doing banana and berry (yummy antioxidants!) smoothies with whey as a post-lift meal (insulin apparently = anabolism)
