Not a fan. Doesn't feel like the game at all, She's meant to be in a mall not a school, and Harry Mason looks like he's in it more than he's in the actual game.
They should've done a film version of Silent Hill 2, now that'd be amazing.

I could write a huge post on why this thing is going to suck, but honestly, I would just be wasting my time repeating what people have already said.

Silent Hill 3 is my favorite game of the series and I loved the first film, although I feel like I'm in the minority on that opinion, and I'm very open to seeing how this plays out. They seem to have intertwined elements from the first film with those of the first 3 games. I do wish they would have gone with the mall, but the school scenes felt like they needed to be shown so it felt familiar. I loved seeing the boardwalk area, which I think is fundamental with Heather's dream.
Game adaption movies never get a fair shake imo because fans of the games want direct adaptions, which is ridiculous imo, and movie fans don't want anything that would be confusing if you didn't play the game. It's such a fine line that has to be drawn and it's nearly impossible to make anyone happy on these types of projects imo. I'm personally excited for this though and I thought the trailer showed us some cool frightening elements that I am looking forward to seeing in full story mode.
Additionally, I don't think it's clear how the whole Harry Mason/Chris Da Silva thing is going to play out so I'm going to reserve judgement on that front. It sounds like he says "come back here Sharon" in that phone conversation. Not sure if I made that up or what but I thought that was odd. Unless they are Harry and Heather in Silent Hill. The first film was very open ended, and down right confusing to be honest, so there is a lot to tie together here from what I can tell.

The first Silent Hill movie is the best video game movie of all time. Anywho this doesn't look bad but we can't go in expecting something as good as the game.

I hate 3D so that almost ruins me even wanting to watch this movie

I've been addicted to Silent Hill since the first one came out on the PS1 and honestly, for what they are, I thought the movies were pretty good. Even though the first movie mashed together monsters from different games, I thought it did a good job of what Silent Hill, in essence, is all about.
I like what I see from the trailer. It looks like it could actually be pretty good. Hopefully, the third movie will be the screen version of the second movie! xD

In the films canon Heather is Sharon/Alessa which explains why Harry/Chris calls out for Sharon. Not sure on how she got out of Silent Hill but Rose didn't.

It looks okay I guess.
I am pretty sure I'll just wait for DVD [if that].
