Story: I went into Toys R Us and they had no joke 27 Reys! Only 5 Cenas. Nothing else! So I see not alot of stock so I go ask a guy if there's anything in the back. He goes to look by scanning the tags. He scans the barcode on the peg and then proclaims that since there are only rey mysterios on the pegs then that's all they have in the back even though he says he has boxes there. He says that all that's in the boxes are rey. Guy doesn't know what he's talking about. Theory: when TRU for example orders 2 cases of elite 16 for example, and it flies off the shelves they think, hey this sells let's buy more. When they order 3 more cases 2 sell so they think let's order 4 more cases to be safe so we don't run out. So by the time elite 17 has started hitting stores this TRU still has 5 cases of elite 16. They think they are dolls that are all the same so they think if they order more more will sell.
Good theory? Anything similar happen to you? Let me know in the comments.

Actully it is a good theroy , but its all computer based ordering.. Its a system thats only controlled by how many units are being sold. So yes u are right in theroy that they keep ordering more.. Problem is , the computer knows how many units are left , and if your TRU does have 4 cases of E14 in the back , then your TRU wont be getting E15 etc.. for a long time or not at all..
My Target for example Had E13 for months...they totally skipped E14 now we have E15 in stock ! Computer knows its low on E13 so it ordered the "newest" case. theres ur problem ! ;D

He had boxes in the back and he just assumed they are all Rey? Man of I was you I would have asked him to open the boxes, it might have been a gold mine!

I think you're better off asking the service desk. That person will call the stockroom and somebody back there will check. You never know, the guy on the floor may have been too lazy to go back to the stockroom.
My TRU had a case of E15 2 or 3 weeks ago then the next 2 shipments were E13. Hate that.

THe person at the service desk will look at you like you have three heads, and then once they do understand what you're asking, they'll tell you that what's on the shelf is all they have.

That's how I got the Bellas. I'm not saying it works every time, lol.
I should have added it helps to have some item # or UPC. Like with the Bellas, I brought her a Bryan/Cara pack to scan and she just asked which one on the back of the card I wanted.

Speaking from experience of being in a supermarket, from a long day I'd be too lazy to go in the back to check. It's pretty annoying so yeah he may have just said that so you can leave him alone. Your theory may be correct but like the rest said, The computer knows how many units there are so it can skip a lot. Happened for years.

Just walk around and ask every employee u see until someone actually will take the time to help u. I've had so many instances where one employee will tell me "There's nothing in the back", or "We're not allowed to do that", just to ask another employee and have them bring figures from the back for me. And if NO ONE in the store assists u, then u probably shouldn't be shopping there anyway. And as far as the ridiculous amounts of Mysterio and Cena, Mattel's case numbers are nonsensical.
