So earlier today before work I stopped in to toys r us to return an extra boppv hhh I didn't need so before I go to customer service to return it I check to see if they had anything new and proceeded to the customer service desk to make my return when I didn't find anything I wanted. so as I'm going to return the figure the manager comes to the desk and ask me if I came in with that item! I was so shocked that he even ask that. Then he went on to say that I did not walk in with anything and said that he would check the video again. So I walk to where the office is and hear him say oh that's the wrong guy. So he comes out of the office and tries to play it off like it was no big deal. I don't embarrass easily but this is just ridiculous. I'm not the type of person to get employees in trouble but this is just totally unacceptable so I called customer service and requested a call back from the district manager. Lol sorry about the run on sentence but this is coming from my cellphone and it's a pain

Shame to hear man. But for future reference, ya should always go the front desk with your returns right away. Then they'll have you walk back to see if you can find an exchange or if you'd just want your money back.

No dont take it lightly, get that assh*le in trouble for making you feel like a criminal when youre just trying to patron their store. I would be just as pissed if not more,

No offense man, but should of went to the counter first. It does look suspicious even though u didn't do anything. It sucks, but think of all the ppl that go in there, or any retail place in general, and pull that crap. Don't let it embarass you or be angry he was doing his job and goofed, I can bet he felt pretty embarrassed about it also. Not being a prick, just saying don't let it bother you, it happens man.

There was no justifying being accused of stealing I have the item without a receipt and a bag so I should be able to walk around with it without being hassled. I work in retail and have for 15 years and you are never supposed to accuse anybody unless you have a solid proof otherwise that could create a huge problem legally. There is no rule against walking around with a previous purchase he was wrong and I was the victim. Lol all I wanted to do was make a return or exchange

So you should know better? I've been in retail for 8, I know not to walk past the front. Just saying and you should know how sneaky ppl are. Y'all both did wrong no reason to try and get a person in trouble for ur mistake

You had an item without a receipt. Why not just take the receipt in with you? Surely it looked very suspicious with a guy walking around the store and then wanting an exchange without having a receipt on you.
Whilst he shouldn't have accused you right away, you certainly didn't help matters by not having the receipt. It looks a bit suspicious.

This isn't something I'd be upset with if I knew I was going to be proved innocent when he watched the tape. I'd understand. What wouldn't be OK is him brushing it off like it was nothing.
He should have been VERY apologetic.

The bottom line is that I did nothing wrong, and I have a valid receipt for the return so before he accused me he should have been 100 percent sure I was stealing. Which video found that I did not so the end result was me being embarrassed in front of other people for no reason.

You do everything you can possibly do to get him in trouble. I would have made a huge deal over it. I'd probably would have been very verbally aggressive with him. This actually makes me angry. Good luck, bro
