If true that's a surprise. WWE's two top stars Orton & Mysterio are not even booked for the 2nd biggest show of the year.
Add both guys to the Sheamus/Del Rio match so we don't have to sit through another Sheamus/Del Rio match. Plus a 4 Way could steal the show.

While I don't necessarily take this as a concrete fact, it seems like WWE doesn't really have any intention of including him. We're just over a week out and there's really been no sign of him becoming involved in an angle.
Perhaps this is is "punishment".

The dirt sheets say Mysterio vs. Miz for the IC title is planned, but who knows. It sucks there's nothing for Orton to do. They should of had him feud with Del Rio when he got back. Sheamus & Del Rio's match at MITB was a crowd killer. Sheamus should be feuding with someone else right now. |

It's so obvious that he should feud with Miz, but no movement has been made on that front whatsoever.
He gave Miz an RKO before they went on "vacation" and Miz took Orton's role in The Marine because of Orton's checkered military pass. They don't have to mention why Miz usurped Orton, but it could be the basis of a feud with Miz saying that he's a bigger star.
It would be a good, sensible feud, it would add something interesting to the mid-card and it would make the piece of trash Intercontinental Championship seem important.
