One of the hall of famers on this site, D.T., had made a diary before entitled War to WrestleMania XXIV, but he ceased work before the Grandest Stage of Them All. So, I will be doing something similar to his. Except I will be using WrestleMania XXVI. I decided to skip Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber to save time. Here are some things you should know about the diary: ECW is NOT cancelled and will be treated like the other two brands. The Hardcore Championship is back, although vacant at the time. A new champion will be determined at WrestleMania. The WWE and World Tag-Team Championships are NOT unified and are defended separately. The WWE Tag-Team Championship can be defended on both SmackDown and ECW, meaning the champions can appear on both shows. There will be no Divas at all. I find them insufferable now and writing for them is a chore. So this will be a men-only company. And that's pretty much it. Now, let's meet the brands and Superstars!!!!

How is this a War to WrestleMania if you cut out Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber without explanation?
The Divas are a vital part of the diary, too. Regardless of if you like them or not. And there's no real point to the Tag titles being individualized per brand.
Not digging it. I am flattered by the reference to War to WrestleMania XXIV though.

I cut out the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber for a reason because I could easily save time. The main selling point is WrestleMania so I want to focus on that solely. Besides, I don't want to seem like a pretender stealing your idea bit-by-bit. The Divas really aren't needed despite your statement. When I start writing the diary, you'll see why writing storylines for them are a chore. You made it work, but I just can't. Also, having two sets of tag-team titles allows for more Superstars to be featured and for the division to be more successful. Trust me, it sucks in real-life. I appreciate your review as much as the next guy, but I think I know what I'm doing. Thanks anyway. An honor to have a guy like yourself post on my thread.

By the way, at least my diary will actually GET to WrestleMania. No offense though. Reply to D.T. Honestly that's no way to respond to constrictive criticism. I'll wait for a show to be posted before I judge.

It's funny how you say that, when in actuality, the diary never officially ended, I never stated that. WrestleMania XXIV could pop up whenever the hell I want it to. We'll see about if you'll reach Mania though. I'd like you to prove me wrong. I'll be watching.

You've changed so many things by the looks of your roster while leaving us with no explanations of what happened at Royal Rumble or Elimination Chamber. Even if you want to begin during the build to 'Mania, you should at least provide quick results for those two PPV's. And if you feel that the Divas aren't needed, then change that. I don't believe you're going to make it to WrestleMania. Feel free to prove me wrong, though.

That's like calling someone gay a homosexual and then saying no offense. You don't do that, especially D.T - a great writer and you're basically jocking his diary. I'll also be watching.

Before I begin, I would like to apologize to D.T. for my comments toward him. Disrespecting a hall of famer like that is like Triple H bloodying Harley Race with a sledgehammer. It just can't happen. I would also like to say that even though I seem brash and arrogant with all that LeBron James "seven championships" crap, I actually am passionate about wrestling and writing. I worked on spam for two years, so I have experience with this. By the way, love the sarcasm. This game's not over yet and neither is my diary. Due to a statement by HEELRyan regarding my lack of explanation when it comes down to what happened during the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber, I decided to do a quick match-by-match recap.

Here is a look at the news in the world of WWE, courtesy of Bleacher Report: February 22, 2010 (news as recent as February 15)
Money in the Bank Increased By Two By Big Nasty February 21, 2010 Despite the rumors of WWE potentially dropping Money in the Bank from this year's WrestleMania and making it into its own pay-per-view, CEO Vince McMahon immediately denied the reports. "As far as I'm concerned, it will be encouraged at WrestleMania," he said with certainty. McMahon later made good on that promise by announcing that at WrestleMania XXVI, there will be THREE Money in the Bank ladder matches. RAW will have one, SmackDown will have one, and ECW will have one. Apparently, each match will have six men, and the winners can only challenge for the world title of the brand they're on.
I'm not sure how I feel about this. On one hand, it allows for more Superstars to be featured and more of an opportunity for guys who have been working hard for a whole year to get their moment in the sun. If there was a nine-man ladder match with three guys from each brand (which was the original plan) some very talented guys would've been left out in the dust. On the other hand, it devalues the briefcase and diminishes its meaning. Three briefcase winners may seem wise, but in hindsight, it could end up being detrimental to the match and turn several people off from Money in the Bank. Well, this is the same guy who thought it was smart to start the XFL, so we'll see how it goes. Besides, one of the reasons people pay to see WrestleMania is because of MITB. So why not give 'em more for the same price?
Locker Room Unhappy Over Return of Hardcore Championship By Graham "GSM" Matthews February 18, 2010 For weeks now, WWE television has hyped up the return of one of the most controversial titles in wrestling history, the Hardcore Championship. At Elimination Chamber in three days, CEO Vince McMahon will announce which brand the title will be exclusive to (most likely ECW) and who will challenge for it at WrestleMania XXVI. Then again, that may take days to decide. Despite the buzz the championship resurrection has gotten, several Superstars are not having it. According to Wrestlezone.com, guys like Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio, Shawn Michaels, Zack Ryder and even John Cena are against bringing back the title. Most of them cite it as unnecessary and that the lack of prestige is what killed the title in the first place. The most scathing report came from Jericho, who said, "I don't know if this is the right move. I asked a lot of guys in the back if they wanted the title back, and they all said no. It was good during its time, but the 24/7 crap really pissed me off. It was around WrestleMania X8 that I started to wonder whether it was a title or a cheap-ass accessory. But we all know the company whores itself out sometimes for attention. Paul Heyman will take a .45 and blow his brains out if he sees what WWE is doing to the hardcore name. Vince should just leave some things in the past."
I understand where Jericho is coming from. True, WWE took a title and made it worthless. But you have to understand this was during the Attitude Era, where everything and anything was possible. Besides, if ECW ends up gaining custody of the title, it will help legitimize the show as an actual third brand instead of the "Heat/Velocity knockoff" that it has been accused of for months. The 24/7 rule doesn't even need to be utilized, but having the title be defended under "Extreme Rules" at all times is vital to how long the title will be reinstated. And if I were Jericho, I'd watch my mouth. He may not even challenge for the title at all and that kind of talk is what gets guys fired. Blasting your employer relentlessly when you're in a high place is not a good veteran move, especially for someone as venerable as Y2J. In fact, if I recall, Jericho held the title in 2001!!!!
Ezekiel Jackson's Shock Elimination Explained By Adam Testa February 22, 2010 During the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view last night, something bizarre went down. During the ECW Championship Chamber Match, Ezekiel Jackson was eliminated first when Christian attacked him just as he was exiting his pod. Christian hit the Killswitch on the steel floor and Jackson was gone, in less than two minutes. The fans booed that decision, since Jackson had been booked as a monster heel for weeks and he had finally gotten over with the fans. In fact, there were rumors of Jackson winning the ECW Championship, turning on his Ruthless Roundtable associates William Regal and Vladimir Kozlov, and defending the title in a Fatal-4-Way involving Christian at WrestleMania. Now, his push is killed.
But why would WWE do that?
Apparently, WWE Studios had cast Jackson as the lead in their latest movie involving famous director Spike Lee. The movie is based in the year 2004, and the plot involves Jackson receiving a courtside ticket to LeBron James' first game at Madison Square Garden, from his best friend (Lee) who works at the arena and bought two courtside seats at half-price. When Jackson's nemesis (played by Scott Grimes) steals the tickets, Jackson and Lee go on a humorous trip around New York City to get them back. It all culminates in a fight at a jazz club between Jackson and Grimes. There will even be cameos by James, Stephon Marbury, Allan Houston, Marv Albert and Mike Fratello. It is called Mo' Betta Seat. Filiming for the movie begins today. Jackson's plane to New York left at a certain time, which caused Jackson's quick elimination. That would explain why he was hurried to the back by Charles Robinson and Chad Patton. Jackson immediately packed his belongings and left St. Louis.
If I were a higher-up in WWE, I wouldn't do that again. Get a plane at a later time or start filming at a later date. Jackson's elimination was negatively reviewed and some even went so far as to say it killed the match entirely. Now that's a little too far. The Chamber match didn't revolve around Jackson and the fact that the fans reacted so much to it shows just how far ECW has come in the past few months. I am amazed WWE sees so much in Jackson, they're entrusting him with the lead role in one of their films. The only problem is whether Mo' Betta Seat will make him a star or damage his young career. Something tells me this is not your average WWE Studios film. Hopefully when Jackson returns in the next month or so, his push will be restarted.
RAW Preview By Scott Carasik February 22, 2010 Tonight's edition of RAW looks to be a pretty good one. Married celebrity duo Jewel (singer-songwriter) and Ty Murray (nine-time rodeo world champion) are guest stars. The opening segment has been revealed. Shawn Michaels will stand in the ring with WWE Champion Sheamus, World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker, and ECW Champion Christian and decide who he will face at WrestleMania XXVI. In the past week, HBK has struck all three world champions with Sweet Chin Music (Sheamus on RAW, Christian on ECW, and Undertaker at Elimination Chamber) raising questions as to what title he wants. Also, qualifying matches for the RAW Money in the Bank Ladder Match will take place, the newest inductee into the 2010 WWE Hall of Fame Class will be named, and if necessary, a new #1 contender for the WWE Championship may be determined. Looks like the card is stacked and loaded tonight!!!

"Grape. Grape today, grape tomorrow, grape forever."-Joey Caruso (1984 Corleone Junior High Presidential Town Hall Meeting) WWE Monday Night RAW
February 22, 2010
Indianapolis, Indiana
Theme Song: "Burn It To The Ground" by Nickelback
Special Guest Stars: Jewel and Ty Murray
A compilation video of all three world title matches at Elimination Chamber is shown. The last image you see is of Shawn Michaels standing over The Undertaker, wearing a 17-1 T-shirt and mocking his victory pose. The opening sequence appears and the pyro goes off. Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler introduce us to the show. Lawler exclaims that there is now officially nothing to look forward to besides WrestleMania. It is now 35 days away. The camera pans to the ring.SHEAMUS, THE UNDERTAKER, AND CHRISTIAN ARE IN THE RINGAll three world champions are not pleased with Shawn Michaels and his latest stunts. In the past week, HBK has raised questions as to which title he’ll challenge for at WrestleMania XXVI. On RAW six days ago, Michaels laid out the WWE Champion with Sweet Chin Music. Many people thought it’d be Sheamus vs. HBK. One night later on ECW, the 2010 Royal Rumble winner delivered a swift kick to Christian’s jaw, and everybody thought Mr. WrestleMania wanted to complete the “Golden Slam” (winning all three world championships). At Elimination Chamber, after the World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber Match, Undertaker struggled to get up, having just gotten rid of Chris Jericho. Wearing a 17-1 T-shirt, Michaels blasted the World Heavyweight Champion with his boot. HBK then mocked Undertaker’s victory pose and raised up his title. The question is, who did Michaels want to stand across from on March 28? With a cheeky smile and a whole lot of swagger in his step, Michaels came out to answer that question. HBK stared down Christian first, and with a burning hole in his eye, looked at the ECW Championship. Michaels then shifted his focus to Undertaker, who had remained quiet so far. HBK told him “17-1” and moved on to Sheamus. With a whole lot of bravado, the WWE Champion pounded his chest and held up the title. HBK smirked and walked away. He feigned choosing Christian before he looked back at Undertaker, took off his hat, and did the cutthroat signal. It was on!!! At WrestleMania, two symbolic icons of light and darkness will cross paths once more, this time for the World Heavyweight Championship. What started as an ambitious challenge by Michaels at the 2009 Slammy Awards has degenerated (no pun intended) into the real thing. Sheamus and Christian left, and Michaels was about to do the same. Undertaker stopped him and told him that at WrestleMania, beating HBK won’t be enough. He doesn’t face the same guy two years in a row and the same exact thing happens. Michaels asks Undertaker what he wants. Undertaker decrees that if he wins, Michaels’ career is over. The fans cheered wildly. Michaels agrees, claiming that if he can’t end The Streak this time, there’s no reason why his career should continue. Michaels is so obsessed with beating Undertaker, he’ll put his own career on the line just to do it. Is this even about the World Heavyweight Championship anymore? The two stare each other down, and we now see Ted DiBiase walking towards the ring. His RAW Money in the Bank Qualifying Match is next.
COMMERCIAL BREAKA promo airs hyping up WrestleMania XXVI, 35 days away on pay-per-view. JACK SWAGGER DEF. TED DIBIASE TO QUALIFY FOR RAW MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH Highlights were shown of DiBiase eliminating Randy Orton from the Chamber last night. The two locked up, but Swagger’s size advantage ended up being the deciding factor. DiBiase was sporting a GQ beard. Swagger hit a backbreaker, but only got a two-count. DiBiase’s injured arm made fresh meat for Swagger, who locked in an armbar and made DiBiase scream in pain. Lawler had interviewed DiBiase earlier, and he claimed that he had no regrets over what happened to Orton. He went so far as to say he is finally “free” and that he should’ve done it a long time ago. DiBiase nailed Swagger with his leg, then swept his legs from under him causing him to fall flat on his face. DiBiase then used his HOF-bound father’s old elbow drop, and some fans even tried to mimic his trademark evil laugh. DiBiase then locked in the Cobra Clutch, feeling the power of his dad, and Swagger’s face turned red. It looked like he’d tap out, but the amateur standout countered it by using his power to slam DiBiase on his back. Swagger then put in the Ankle Lock, his first time ever using the move. The fans booed and chanted “Angle!,” as an homage to Swagger’s failure to get over when he first came to WWE. DiBiase countered by sending Swagger towards the ropes before he could grapevine it, and then clotheslined him out. DiBiase then climbed the turnbuckle and nailed a picture-perfect dropkick. As DiBiase threw Swagger into the steel steps repeatedly, Cole planned out DiBiase’s WrestleMania weekend: Inducting his old man into the Hall of Fame alongside his brother, participating in the RAW Money in the Bank Ladder Match, and earning a guaranteed WWE Championship opportunity. Swagger countered a powerslam by dropping DiBiase head-first onto the barricade. Swagger then held DiBiase’s arm and released him into the steps. DiBiase clutched his ribs in pain, Swagger on top. Swagger then sent DiBiase into the ring, and went for a Swagger Bomb, and connected. The injured ribs were getting to DiBiase. Swagger tried it again, but DiBiase avoided near-tragedy. Clutching the rope and barely standing, DiBiase countered a rare spear by Swagger into a DDT. DiBiase went for Dream Street, but the music for Randy Orton played. Orton had a huge smirk on his face, while DiBiase mouthed “you son of a bitch.” Swagger smelled blood in the water, kicked DiBiase in the ribs, and nailed the Gutwrench Powerbomb. ONE! TWO! THREE! Jack Swagger was the first of six RAW Superstars to qualify. Swagger looked at the red briefcase and had plans to make it his. Replays were shown, and DiBiase’s loss was blamed mostly on the ribs, but also Orton. Orton came in the ring, told DiBiase he had compensation for what happened one night ago, and hit the RKO on DiBiase. The Miz and Chris Masters were on tap next. COMMERCIAL BREAKAnother WrestleMania promo. THE MIZ DEF. CHRIS MASTERS TO QUALIFY FOR RAW MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCHAccording to Miz backstage, the plan was to have every member of The Young Guns qualify. Then they could watch each other’s back and have the true winner emerge. That’s when Hart told them Carlito vs. Primo was one of the matches!!! Despite that, Miz knew that half the field could potentially have Young Guns, so it was up to him to continue that trend. Besides, there would definitely be at least two of them in it. Miz was a little nervous when Masters arrived, but he was prepared for a fail-safe method. The United States Champion avoided Masters at first, and even used the rope-a-dope successfully. Meanwhile, Cole was being an absolute tool of a cheerleader, praising Miz and calling him “this generation’s Muhammad Ali or Michael Jordan. He is a real game-changer.” Masters knew what Miz was doing and simply left. Miz, wondering what the hell was going on, followed Masters. Apparently, that was just a trap, and Masters unloaded on Miz. After bringing him back inside, Masters went for the Master Lock. To this day, very few people have ever broken out of it. Miz knew this move all too well, and broke out of it with ease. Miz caught Masters off-guard with the Skull-Crushing Finale. Instead of pinning Masters, Miz wanted to make him suffer. He did the Skull-Crushing Finale again, and then a third time. Miz, now demented made the cover. ONE! TWO! THREE! The Miz now joined Jack Swagger at WrestleMania. The United States Champion knew a whole year’s worth of hard work was coming full-circle. He had changed from a goofy, bug-eyed reality show castoff loser sidekick into a real, intense, focused WWE Superstar who not only is the overseer of a group full of fresh faces, but a man who has turned the United States Championship into an actual steppingstone. Backstage, Todd Grisham was interviewing Sheamus. Grisham asked Sheamus if he was worried Michaels would pick him as his WrestleMania opponent. Sheamus told Grisham, “Not a chance. You see, any smart fella would know that HBK would do anything to beat Undertaker, and even if he has to put his career on the line, then so be it. It's time old hags like Michaels move out of the way for charming, brutal Superstars much like myself. As for my WWE Championship, I just had a word with Bret Hart on who I’ll face at WrestleMania. And tonight, in the main event, it comes down to John Cena or Triple H. Trust me. At WrestleMania, no matter who I face, no one will take down the Celtic Warrior.” Jewel and Ty Murray are seen greeting the RAW Superstars. It is time for the WWE Universe to welcome them. COMMERCIAL BREAKA promo airs for WWE Superstars this week. The main event is the WWE Champion himself, Sheamus, against Chris Masters!! Also, Matt Hardy will face Tyson Kidd, and Goldust will stand toe-to-toe with Curt Hawkins. This Thursday on WGN America!!! The crowd is mixed on the singer-songwriter and rodeo champion. Murray claimed that he loves some ‘rasslin, and that he’s been a fan of guys like Shawn Michaels and “Stone Cold” since he was a youngster. Jewel could not believe the muscles on those guys, and was afraid they’ll kill her. That’s when Orton came out. His match was next, but he decided to arrive early. Apparently, he did not like the two, and neither did half the Indianapolis faithful. “Why don’t you just leave? Nobody wants you here. It sounds like a slow, painful death, and you’re taking away valuable time from people who actually matter,” Orton said to Murray. “You’ve got a lot of hotheadedness for someone with little down there,” Murray said. “Do you want an accident? Because when I cause accidents, nobody is safe,” Orton said. The two decided to leave. “Jerk-off,” Jewel told Orton. Just as Orton was about to address the Legacy situation, Kofi Kingston came out. “Randy, it doesn’t matter what you say, because I’ll beat you just the same and finish what I started.” Kingston and Orton had a stalled feud in late 2009. It reached the breaking point at Madison Square Garden, where Kingston nailed the Boom Drop on Orton through a table full of electrical equipment. KOFI KINGSTON DEF. RANDY ORTON TO QUALIFY FOR RAW MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH The bell rang, and Orton was enraged. He came after Kingston with several blows, not happy over being screwed out of the WWE Championship. Orton hit the Big Boot on one-half of the World Tag-Team Champions, and went for a knee drop. Kingston moved out of the way, and hit a lifting facebreaker. Kingston climbed the top turnbuckle, and went for a moonsault, but Orton countered it into a beautiful RKO. The Legacy leader nailed the pin. ONE! TWO! KICKOUT! All that timing meant nothing. Orton got frustrated, assured he had it. Orton cinched in a headlock, but Kingston was able to stand and hit a spinout powerbomb. Kingston went for the Boom Drop, but Orton moved out of the way. “Boy, there are so many counters, you’d think they were playing checkers!” said Lawler. “Do you write your own material?” said Cole. Orton got going with two clotheslines, killing a clothesline attempt, and a snap powerslam. Orton stomped on Kingston repeatedly, and hit a diving knee drop. Orton nailed a Hangtime DDT, and began to coil. The RKO was coming. Kingston threw Orton off, which caused him to bump into referee Charles Robinson. Kingston then hit Trouble in Paradise and pinned Orton. *No Count* Kingston realized Robinson was out and tried to wake him. “It’s A New Day” by Adelitas Way played in the Conseco Fieldhouse as DiBiase entered through the crowd to confuse Orton. The second-generation star hit Orton twice with Rhodes’ lead pipe and then nailed Dream Street. Seeing the whole thing, Kingston decided to wait a bit. At this point, Robinson was back up. Kingston climbed the top turnbuckle, hit the Boom Drop, and pinned Orton. ONE! TWO! THREE! With a sea of ladders and 70,000+ people in Glendale, Kingston hoped to climb the ladder on March 28 and make his dream of becoming the first Jamaican-born world champion come true. Backstage, Triple H was talking to Shawn Michaels. He told HBK that no matter what happens, DX will still be alive and he knows he can beat Undertaker. Michaels came up with an idea: The night after WrestleMania, if both of them end up world champions, they’ll throw a party only DX can. HHH loved the idea and hugged Michaels. Cole and Lawler hyped up the 2010 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony, which was set to take place at the Dodge Theatre in downtown Phoenix on March 27. They then introduced the latest inductee: Maurice “Mad Dog” Vachon. A video package of Vachon’s career is shown, highlighting his ruthless nature in the ring and his habit of stomping, biting, and pounding his opponent until they tapped out. His use of foreign weapons (including teeth and filed nails) and his Piledriver finishing move made him so notorious he was banned in three states. His wrestling siblings were shown as well. “Mad Dog” Vachon helped usher in a new era of professional wrestling, and may be known as the “Father of Hardcore.” We then found out Vachon would be inducted by Pat Patterson, the first-ever Intercontinental Champion. COMMERCIAL BREAKThere was ANOTHER promo for WrestleMania XXVI. EVAN BOURNE AND MARK HENRY DEF. CODY RHODES AND CHAVO GUERRERO TO QUALIFY FOR RAW MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCHThis tag-team match awarded two spots to the winners. Because Kingston was busy with Orton, Hart allowed Bourne to choose his own partner, and he selected “The World’s Strongest Man.” Bourne and Guerrero tore it up and got the fans going. At one point, Guerrero went for a powerbomb, but Bourne countered it into a sunset flip and his own powerbomb. Bourne tagged in Henry, who scared Guerrero into tagging in Rhodes. From there, it was all downhill. Henry nailed the World’s Strongest Slam, and Bourne got Air Bourne. Henry destroyed Guerrero on the outside as Bourne pinned Rhodes. ONE! TWO! THREE! Bourne and Henry celebrated, but that may mean nothing on March 28. They might kill each other if they want the WWE Championship that bad. Cole and Lawler mention that Santino Marella, the all-around funny guy of wrestling, has been missing from RAW lately. That’s because WWE has him on a special assignment. Similar to what happened to Jesse and Festus in 2008, Marella has been named the Ambassador of WrestleMania. His job is to travel to Phoenix and live the life of a true WWE Superstar. Relaxing in the best hotel, shooting the breeze with the WWE Universe, and simply helping create buzz in the city for The Grandest Stage of Them All. Clips were also shown of Santino leading a WrestleMania rally at the U.S. Airways Center on February 13. Marella appeared on the screen via satellite, and Cole and Lawler asked him a couple questions. Lawler asked Marella if he’s seen the University of Phoenix Stadium (the venue that will host WrestleMania XXVI) in Glendale yet. Marella claims that he hasn’t seen the inside yet, which has been kept under heavy security by WWE officials. Cole asked Marella that the backstage interviewer at WrestleMania will be a celebrity, but who? Marella claimed that’s also under wraps, but he knows the answer. The only hint he can give is that this person is an Arizona State University alumni. After the interview ended, Cole and Lawler announced that next week’s special guest stars on RAW will be the one, the only……..Cheech and Chong!!! They will be on the show live from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Lawler stated his fake, generic love for the counterculture drug addict comedy duo. COMMERCIAL BREAKThere was a commercial hyping up the RAW Superstar Initiative. It all begins on March 29. Each week, a new WWE Superstar will join the RAW brand, until further notice. All of them will come from Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). CARLITO DEF. PRIMO TO QUALIFY FOR RAW MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCHHeel vs. heel matches were rare, so the WWE Universe was heavily focused. The two brothers shook hands and started the match. The Miz and Jack Swagger were watching intently backstage. The two worked a fast-paced style early on. Carlito slingshot himself off the top rope and spun Primo around and around for a sick huracanrana. He went for a shining wizard, but Primo ducked at the last minute and got his brother with an electric chair drop. The finish came when Primo’s Backstabber failed, as Carlito hung on the ropes. Carlito superkicked Primo, which caused Primo to be turned around from the impact and for Carlito to nail his own Backstabber. ONE! TWO! THREE! Miz and Swagger arrived, and Carlito helped up Primo. At WrestleMania XXVI, there is a 50% chance that one member of The Young Guns will snatch the red briefcase. The stage is set. On March 28, it’ll be Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz vs. Jack Swagger vs. Evan Bourne vs. Mark Henry vs. Carlito. And the winner will get a WWE Championship Match, any time, any place, for up to one year. Backstage, Orton was shown talking to Rhodes. He told Rhodes that it’s OK to feel scared, but he needs to hang in there. He told him that DiBiase is a greedy cancer that lives off his father, and needs to be destroyed. Rhodes told Orton that he’s sick and tired of the endless fighting, and that if the two want to kill each other, then go ahead, but he’s not being dragged down. Sheamus came out and joined Cole and Lawler on commentary, about to scout his potential opponents. John Cena vs. Triple H was next. COMMERCIAL BREAKThere was one last WrestleMania XXVI promo for the night. Triple H arrived, then Cena. Cole mentioned that for two of the biggest Superstars in the industry, the score between them is quite uneven. The record is 2-1-2, in favor of Triple H. He beat Cena at Night of Champions 2008 and on an October 2009 edition of RAW. Cena beat Triple H at WrestleMania 22. There were two false finishes: A double-disqualification thanks to Legacy on a July 2009 edition of RAW, and a no-contest earlier this month thanks to Sheamus. JOHN CENA VS. TRIPLE H ENDS IN NO-CONTESTCena was utilizing his muscles a lot more than he had been accustomed to. Contrary to popular belief, Cena is ripped. He just never seems to take advantage of that with basic moves. Triple H threw Cena towards the ropes, but he responded with a flying shoulderblock. Cena hit a Fisherman’s suplex, and locked Triple H in an abdominal stretch. Triple H used his free arm to punch Cena and escape the hold. He then hit a facebreaker knee smash on Cena. Triple H went for an AA spinebuster early, but Cena got a DDT through sheer luck. To demonstrate his re-emphasizing on his size, Cena went for a powerbomb, but Triple H countered it into a Boston Crab. Cena reached the ropes after one minute in the hold. Triple H punched Cena repeatedly in the corner, and the action spilled on the outside. Sheamus was badmouthing both Cena and Triple H on commentary, proving that he does not respect either of them. Triple H tried to throw Cena into the ring post, but Cena countered and Triple H crashed into the post. His arm received the worst of the blow. Cena then took that arm and dropped it onto the steps. Cole acknowledged that Cena is much more systematic and methodical tonight than he’s ever been. Lawler stated that the WWE Championship can drive a man to do crazy things. Sheamus snidely remarked that it drove Cena to put himself through a table. Cena threw Triple H into the announce table. Sheamus drew an insult Cena’s way and threw a bottle of water in his face. Cena punched Sheamus in the face, did the “you can’t see me”, and put Triple H inside. Cena locked in the STF, and Triple H was seconds away from tapping. Referee Mike Chioda held up Triple H’s hand twice and dropped it. One more time and Cena is going to Glendale. Just as Chioda was about to drop Triple H’s hand a third time, it stopped in the nick of time. Triple H got Cena’s arms off his throat and grabbed the ropes. Triple H was back in it and hit three clotheslines, a facebreaker knee smash, and a high knee. Triple H hit the AA spinebuster, posed, did the DX chop to Sheamus, and went for the Pedigree. BAM! Triple H made the cover. ONE! TWO! KICKOUT! Triple H thought for sure Cena was done. He went for another Pedigree, and might’ve milked it too much because Cena countered it into an Attitude Adjustment. Sheamus hit Cena with a lead pipe and the bell rang. The WWE Champion beat both men with it and was happy because neither of them won. “At WrestleMania, this fella’s taking the night off,” Sheamus said. Hart arrived and corrected Sheamus. He sure as Hell will compete. At WrestleMania XXVI, the Celtic Warrior will defend the richest prize in sports-entertainment against John Cena AND Triple H in a Triple Threat Match! RAW ended with Sheamus repeatedly screaming “NO!!” and cursing in Irish. 34 DAYS AWAY (University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona) Here is a look at the WrestleMania XXVI card so far: World Heavyweight Championship-The Undertaker (c) vs. Shawn Michaels (Title/Streak vs. Career; if Michaels loses, he must retire) RAW Money in the Bank Ladder Match-Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz vs. Jack Swagger vs. Evan Bourne vs. Mark Henry vs. Carlito (winner earns a WWE Championship match, any time, any place, for up to one year) WWE Championship (Triple Threat Match)-Sheamus (c) vs. John Cena vs. Triple H Graphics courtesy of HEELRyan Theme Songs: "I Made It" by Kevin Rudolf ft. Another feature of War to WrestleMania XXVI will be introduced. Kevin Eck, who worked for the Baltimore Sun for a while, created a blog there called Ring Posts. He watches wrestling shows and gives his thoughts on them. In addition to that, Eck may air his opinion on certain topics that caught his eye, or reply to people in the comment board. Last year around this time, Ring Posts ended when Eck left the Baltimore Sun to accept a job offer as a Creative team member in WWE. He would have a similar blog on WWE's website called Eck's Factor, which was also unscripted and dropped several insider terms at times. The blog ended in January, but Eck still works there. I'm going to assume Eck's role and act in his mindset to produce a more authentic result. I hope it's as much a treat for you to listen to Eck's opinion as it was for me. Monday Night RAW; HBK-Taker II, Cena and Triple H both go to WrestleMania, and Money in the Bank qualifiers Well, it looks like WrestleMania XXVI will be quite the hot ticket on March 28. Sheamus will defend the WWE Championship against John Cena and Triple H in a Triple Threat Match. Of course, this was expected. Did anyone really think that either man would win? There's no way one of these men would be left off the biggest show of the year. The way it was set up seemed pretty simple: Cena and Triple H had a match, Sheamus interfered, and it backfired on him. This would be much better if I didn't see this happen less than a month ago. Anytime Cena and Triple H fight, I get the sense there can't be a winner. Yeah, these two are polarizing figures and I honestly believe neither of them are better than the other, but to have these false finishes all the time isn't helping anybody. Cena and Triple H have met six times, and half the time nobody has won. Oh well, at least both of them get a title shot. As for who will win, I can't decide right now, but it's not going to be Sheamus. His reign has been lackluster and he has never retained his title in a singles match without something or someone getting in the way. Even the way he won the title was done wrong. If he had stayed on ECW more than he did, he could've risen up the card, become a viable heel contender, and then face Christian. As ECW Champion, he'd be at the top without being pushed too much and could've spent months building up prestige for the title. Then, when somebody finally beats him, he'll give them a rub and move on to the next stage. Instead, WWE fast-tracked him to RAW and had him win his first world championship in a career that had lasted less than six months at that point. I just don't know what WWE sees in Sheamus that they don't see in Shelton Benjamin or John Morrison. Hopefully Triple H doesn't have him go over on March 28 just because they're workout buddies. In other news, Shawn Michaels has finally chosen his WrestleMania opponent: World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker. I like how WWE brought an air of mystery concerning who Michaels would choose, but in the end, I think we all knew. What we didn't know was what would happen after that. Undertaker challenged HBK to put his 25-year career on the line and he accepted. Now, a world championship, arguably the most impressive undefeated streak of all-time, and one of the greatest careers of all-time is at stake. While I'd hate to see Michaels' career end (if you didn't know, I have a huge man-crush on him) having a streak like Undertaker's come to a close is too big a risk for the WWE to take. Like I said, the Streak can't end and Michaels can't be the one to end it. To be honest, I wasn't so crazy about Undertaker and Michaels going at it a second time. Their match at the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania was one of the best matches in the history of the event (if not the best) and I seriously doubt they're going to top it this year. This wouldn't be a problem if people didn't begin comparing the two matches. At least this year there are some new wrinkles added in (Undertaker as World Heavyweight Champion, Michaels putting his career on the line, etc.) Michaels stated something extremely important: If he can't end The Streak two years in a row, his career should end. My thoughts exactly. Michaels has done everything in the business, and for him to lose to Undertaker again after obssessing about it for the past two months will only lead to depression or even self-harm. Looks like WWE is actually putting on three Money in the Bank ladder matches at WrestleMania. The RAW one is already complete. It'll be Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz vs. Jack Swagger vs. Evan Bourne vs. Mark Henry vs. Carlito, with the winner receiving a world title match against their brand's champion (in this case, the WWE Champion) any time or place until next year's event in Atlanta. I like the six-man format as an homage to how the match used to be. It took some time to decide, but I think this is right for the company. It gets more guys on the show and gives people more of a reason to order it. As long as the winners are perceived as serious threats, the briefcase won't be devalued. After all, this is the same company that has three world championships and makes it work. The only problem I have is that Henry will be a part of it. He was in last year's match as a heel and shouldn't be anywhere near the world title scene since his character is more comedic. If I were in the company, I'd book Primo in the match since all The Young Guns would be in it and it would give him something to do. Besides, it would be a classic MITB match. If only they followed up on that whole thing with Randy Orton........ Speaking of Orton, it looks like he's headed for a very good feud with Ted DiBiase. The whole Legacy breakup has been handled well and I like how Cody Rhodes is staying neutral. Then again, he won't be for much longer. I don't know who he'll choose, because either one sounds good. Both Orton and DiBiase got involved somehow in each other's MITB qualifying matches, so neither of them got to be in it. I think DiBiase had a better chance of qualifying than Orton, though.......... WWE Superstars should be pretty good this week, as Sheamus is "guest-starring" to take on Chris Masters. Also, Matt Hardy will face Tyson Kidd, and Goldust will go up against Curt Hawkins. I'll make sure my DVR is fired-up that night.......... I like the RAW Superstar Initiative. Each week after WrestleMania, a new Superstar will be introduced to the show. Despite being the flagship show, RAW has the smallest roster of the three brands, so having some new talent will give it a shot in the arm. One thing about RAW I didn't like was at the end. Apparently, all WWE programming is presented by The Arthur Vining Davis Foundation and Viewers Like You from this point forward. RAW is also presented by Rhodes' 60-Second Cinnamon Rolls and a cooperative agreement from the U.S. Department of Education's Ready To Learn! Grant. Apparently, the WWE is helping reach out to kids who are at a disadvantage academically and help provide them with a better education. I just don't understand why they need to broadcast it, though. What happens in the ring should have its own dedicated time, and not be boggled down by something stolen from PBS Kids. Looks like Vince is going to court...... Santino Marella's absence has finally been explained. WWE has named him the Ambassador of WrestleMania, the man who travels to the host city and helps create hype for the event. In other words, Marella had nothing else to do so WWE gave him this. I remember the company doing something similar with Jesse and Festus two years ago. Marella, who has been sorely missed from my screen, will make an appearance at WrestleMania for sure. He also mentioned in an interview with Michael Cole and Jerry "The King" Lawler that there will be a celebrity backstage interviewer. Apparently, they're an Arizona State University alumni. Jimmy Kimmel, anybody? Jewel and Ty Murray were pretty lame as guest stars. I never even heard of them before and the crowd wasn't into the segment. Bless Randy Orton for cutting it short. An RKO to Murray would've done wonders, though.............Cheech and Chong sound way more interesting. Next week, RAW goes TV-14.

WWE Monday Night RAW: Monday 22nd February 2010...Alright, the layout could use a lot of fixing up still. But it's a slight improvement to what it was. I'd use the bold spot for the segment headers, rather than simply using colors. Another thing, possibly change the font. I never liked Verdana with such detailed shows like this. Maybe center it too, but that's all up to you really. Alright, I never in a million years saw Shawn Michaels challenging Christian for the ECW Championship in Michaels' final match. It was always going to be the Undertaker he was going to face. I didn't see much point in this, for Sheamus and Christian were simply left in the ring doing nothing. Didn't make much sense for them to even be there. You should have made this simpler and gone for Shawn Michaels explaining his previous attack on the Undertaker at the Elimination Chamber, with 'Taker possibly coming out or playing mind games with HBK. I do like your writing style, but it's a bit too detailed for a standard episode of RAW. Cut it down a bit, summarize the occurrences. Your writing IS good, but don't wear yourself out. Bust out this detailed work for pay-per-views where it will truly shine. Jack Swagger beating Ted Dibiase was expected, I'm glad to see it really. I hope Dibiase isn't the Legacy protegé with the push. He was really bland. So was Cody Rhodes, but at least Cody was moving up in the world at this point. Randy Orton having problems with Dibiase? Hm, interesting I suppose. A bit more backstory would have been nice here. The Miz beating Chris Masters was very predictable, just hoping that Masters can make a good comeback very soon; he was so talented during this tenure. I'd break up the paragraphs into segments. Sounded like a fair interview segment with Sheamus. I'd have heavily promoted John Cena facing Triple H in the main event, a lot more than you did here. It's huge, with huge repercussions going into the top angle for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XXVI. Eh, Jewel and Murray's segment was fair but generic. I assume Randy Orton is staying the heel then. That could be a bad decision, since fans were starting to cheer him at this point. Kofi Kingston then reigniting the feud with Orton with Kofi gaining the win was great. I enjoyed that for a first-hour main event. Mad Dog Vachon getting into the 2010 Class of the Hall of Fame is good. Evan Bourne and Mark Henry was a team I always disliked. I don't understand why Cody Rhodes was paired with Chavo Guerrero. If anything, you should have switched it so Cody teamed with Dibiase. Didn't enjoy this one too much. Santino Marella as the Ambassador of WrestleMania XXVI sweeps him under the rug, not a bad decision there either. Cheech and Chong coming to RAW next week, eh. I am split on the Superstar Initiative. Stick to FCW. There's no way that Ring of Honor would link with WWE here. Or OVW considering they had distanced themselves from the company. Don't go too nuts with this, either; the RAW roster may be slightly narrow, but don't stack it too much. Plus you need to remember the Draft could come after WrestleMania. Carlito beating Primo was eh. Nothing special here. Turn Primo face if anything. I'd have put Primo in the Money in the Bank match. And lastly, good chaotic main event with Triple H and John Cena competing for a shot at Sheamus. Overall, a decent opening show with a lot of modifications I think you could make in the future. As for the dirtsheet report, I liked it, but it was far too critical of your own product and that damages the reader's opinion of it. Keep at it, though.

"I'm the man, I'm the predator, and I'm the top of the food chain!!!"-Batista WWE ECW on Syfy
February 23, 2010
Des Moines, Iowa
Theme Song: “Don’t Question My Heart” by Saliva featuring Brent Smith
The following ECW is two hours long as part of a test project. If reaction proves well, it’ll become permanent. If reaction is negative, it’ll be scaled back to a 90-minute median. A compilation video is shown with highlights of the ECW Championship Elimination Chamber two nights ago. When the smoke cleared, it was Christian who stood tall and extended his reign as champion to 210 days, having last eliminated Shelton Benjamin. The pyro goes off in Des Moines, as Byron Saxton and Josh Matthews introduce us to the show. Tonight, Yoshi Tatsu and Vladimir Kozlov meet in a #1 Contender’s Match, with the winner earning an ECW Championship Match at WrestleMania XXVI. Every other ECW Superstar is in action as well, trying to qualify for the ECW Money in the Bank Ladder Match. THE ABRAHAM WASHINGTON SHOW (SPECIAL GUEST: ECW CHAMPION CHRISTIAN)Washington started off the segment with an awful joke relating to Steve Burns of Blue’s Clues. Tony Atlas did that fake, generic laugh again. Christian was then introduced, as the Peepulation was in full force tonight in Iowa. A majority of AW’s questions were mostly about business, with one question asking who Captain Charisma would like to defend the title against on March 28. Christian said it doesn’t matter, because he will walk into Glendale champion, and walk out of Glendale champion. After some more bad jokes (and Atlas’ annoying cackle) Washington asked Christian how his arm was holding up. Christian landed on his right arm the wrong way two nights ago when he dove off one of the Chamber pods and hit Zack Ryder with a missile dropkick. Christian said his arm is in pretty bad shape and it feels like wood right now, but he refuses to see that as an out for not putting on his best show and that this is what you sign up for when you enter a WWE ring. Just then, William Regal and Kozlov came out. Regal proclaimed two things: He would destroy that insufferable maggot pie of delusion known as Benjamin, and that Kozlov would roll over the wannabe anime character known as Tatsu. Then, at WrestleMania XXVI, when Regal takes the purple briefcase as his own and Kozlov brings the ECW Championship into their fold, something Ezekiel Jackson was deprived of doing, Tuesday nights will belong to The Ruthless Roundtable, as they will once again become the most dominant stable in WWE today. Christian dismissed Regal’s proclamations of pain, stating that it doesn’t matter whether Regal climbs the ladder and wins Money in the Bank or not, because it’ll still end the same way. Christian also stated that if Regal and Kozlov both win, there is a strong possibility that Regal will cash in on Kozlov sooner rather than later. Atlas laughed at that really hard for some reason. The two argued as the ECW Champion left and Washington said, “Ladies and gentlemen, you can only get this kind of entertainment on the Abraham Washington Show!!!” COMMERCIAL BREAKThere was a WrestleMania XXVI promo, 34 days away on pay-per-view. TOMMY DREAMER DEF. VANCE ARCHER TO QUALIFY FOR ECW MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH
After Dreamer was taken to the limit by Ryder in a career-threatening match two months ago, Dreamer realized his time was nearing the end and that he needs to make the most out of every opportunity he gets. So he signed a one-year contract with ECW and announced his intention to leave WWE for good after December 19 (which, of course, is the date of the last pay-per-view on the calendar, TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs). Although Dreamer lost the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber, he knew that there was a golden opportunity right there. He would have to go past Vance Archer to do it. Archer dominated the early stages, focusing on Dreamer’s injured left leg. At one point, Archer hit a DDT on that leg. Eventually, Dreamer regrouped and even caught Archer with a few aerial attacks. Dreamer went for the Dreamer DDT, but Archer countered it into a Hellevator. Archer went to the top turnbuckle, and went for a legdrop, but Dreamer moved out of the way. Dreamer hit Archer with the Dreamer DDT and got the cover. ONE! TWO! THREE! Dreamer celebrated going to his first WrestleMania in two years, and his first time on the card in three years. Dreamer pointed to the WrestleMania marquee as he hoped to perhaps lock up a guaranteed ECW Championship opportunity. After the match, Benjamin (Archer’s chief rival since December) came out and whacked Archer in the skull with a steel chair. Benjamin then hit Paydirt on the chair and said, “I’m guessing somebody isn’t going to WrestleMania!!!,” Benjamin sarcastically stated. He then left and jumped into the Des Moines crowd to greet them. Two days ago, with both Christian and Benjamin down, Archer snuck into the Chamber and bloodied “The Gold Standard” with a similar chair. Archer then hit Dark Days on the chair and left the Chamber. Backstage, ECW General Manager Tiffany was speaking to Tatsu about his upcoming match when Curt Hawkins stepped in. Apparently, he was never told about his Money in the Bank qualifying match opponent. Tiffany told him that it was The Hurricane and Hawkins buried his face in his hands. Tatsu vs. Kozlov was promoted. COMMERCIAL BREAKAnother WrestleMania promo. TYLER REKS DEF. PAUL BURCHILL TO QUALIFY FOR ECW MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCHSaxton and Matthews were looking forward to this. Two imposing figures going against each other for the chance to get to Glendale. Burchill slapped Reks in the face when the bell rang, and that would change everything. Reks dominated Burchill at first and was dead-set on making sure he didn’t do that again. Reks was going for a powerbomb, but Burchill countered it into a back bodydrop. Burchill then stomped on Reks several times, and slammed his knee into the ring post repeatedly. Burchill then stared at his wrist as if there was a watch, knowing March 28 wasn’t that far now. He then went for a Brainbuster, but Reks countered it into his own snap DDT. Working on one leg now, Reks hit the Big Kahuna on Burchill and went for the cover. ONE! TWO! THREE! Reks celebrated and almost came close to tears. For years, Reks’ dream was to headline WrestleMania and become a world champion. One part of that is complete. Climb the ladder in 34 days, and Reks will inch closer towards the ECW Championship. RAW REBOUNDSaxton and Matthews recalled what had happened one night ago on RAW. “And now, the RAW Rebound is brought to you by WWE Mobile. Download D-Generation-X’s ringtone at m.wwe.com.” The opening segment that made a blockbuster WrestleMania rematch with World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels was shown, as well as highlights of the #1 Contender’s Match between John Cena and Triple H. Saxton and Matthews hyped up WrestleMania XXVI in 34 days, where the World Heavyweight Championship, an unblemished streak of 17-0, and a career that has spanned a quarter-century will be on the line. The Undertaker will defend his Big Gold Belt and his WrestleMania legacy against “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels. And this time, if Michaels loses, he must retire. “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus gets a taste of grandeur for the first time as he defends the WWE Championship in a Triple Threat Match against the Cenation leader John Cena and “The Game” Triple H. No countouts, no disqualifications, and no decision where the champion must be involved. Also, six RAW Superstars will dance amongst a sea of ladders in a quest to see who walks out with a contract for a WWE Championship match. One-half of the World Tag-Team Champions Kofi Kingston, United States Champion The Miz, “The All-American American” Jack Swagger, Kingston’s Air Boom teammate and other half of the tag champs Evan Bourne, “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry, and Carlito will risk it all in front of 70,000+ members of the WWE Universe in Money in the Bank. There was another promo for Tatsu vs. Kozlov. COMMERCIAL BREAKThere was a promo for WWE Superstars. On tap this week: WWE Champion Sheamus vs. Chris Masters, Matt Hardy vs. Tyson Kidd, and Goldust vs. Curt Hawkins. ZACK RYDER DEF. CAYLEN CROFT TO QUALIFY FOR ECW MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCHTrent Barreta was watching closely in his locker room. He hoped both him and Croft could headline WrestleMania together. Meanwhile, Ryder was dead-set on making sure that didn’t happen. He was aggressive from the start, immediately locking in a Cross Armbreaker. Croft was immobilized, but somehow reached the ropes and escaped. Ryder went for a clothesline, but Croft threw him over and landed a crossbody. Both men were down for the 10-count, but Croft made it at 6. Ryder trailed close behind at 8. Croft then bounced off the ropes and nailed Ryder with a beautiful dropkick. Croft only got a two-count. The match was back-and-forth for a good 10 minutes. At one point, both guys countered the other’s move six times apiece. This broke a 19-year record for counters in a WWE match (Tito Santana and The Ultimate Warrior had a nine-counter match in April 1991). Ryder went for the Broski Boot on Croft, but his target moved out of the way. Croft took the opportunity, and hit the fireman’s carry double knee gutbuster on Ryder. Croft made the cover. ONE! TWO! KICKOUT! Stunned, Croft attempted it again, but Ryder raked Croft’s eyes and scored the Rough Ryder. Ryder then seated Croft on the bottom turnbuckle and nailed the Broski Boot. Ryder made the cover. ONE! TWO! THREE! At WrestleMania XXVI, “The Long Island Loudmouth” will try to make the most of this opportunity and secure a date with the ECW Champion himself. Ryder looked at the marquee and chanted, “Woo! Woo! Woo!” three times. Regal was seen getting suited up for his match as Kozlov came in. He asked Regal if what Christian said was true. Regal said that Christian thinks he’s untouchable as ECW Champion and that he can say whatever he wants. Regal cited Christian’s remarks as hogwash and that if things did pan out, Regal would do the honorable thing and announce his cash-in date. Regal then stated that he is now going to go out there and handle Benjamin like honorable men do. Regal vs. Benjamin, next. COMMERCIAL BREAKA commercial aired hyping up this week’s SmackDown on MyNetworkTV. Chris Jericho hosts The Highlight Reel with special guest Edge. Jericho plans to answer Edge’s challenge for a match at WrestleMania XXVI, which he laid out at Elimination Chamber. Also, 12 members of Friday night try to qualify for the SmackDown Money in the Bank Ladder Match. WILLIAM REGAL DEF. SHELTON BENJAMIN TO QUALIFY FOR ECW MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCHAs soon as Benjamin came out, Archer closely followed and elbowed him in the skull. Archer then beat the crap out of “The Gold Standard” (even hitting Dark Days at one point) and threw him off the stage. This, combined with Archer’s other attack and the hell Benjamin went through on Sunday, was pretty serious. Medics then attended to Benjamin as Regal came out and bided his time. Replays were continuously shown of Archer attacking Benjamin. Regal said on the mic that if he won by forfeit, it would be wrong, but he would have to lay back and accept it. Eventually, the medics ruled that Benjamin would be able to compete and the match was on. Benjamin was slowly walking to the ring, as he already had a minor concussion and was going to be less energetic than usual anyway. The bell rang, and Regal was a beast from the start. Even some simple strikes to the chest brought Benjamin down at times. At one point, Regal hit Benjamin with a neckbreaker, and it looked like he wouldn’t kick out. It prompted Saxton to say, “At this rate, the match will be over in five more minutes.” Benjamin tried to muster up some quick offense, including a dropkick off the steps on the outside. He hit Paydirt out of nowhere, and went for the cover. Then Archer showed up on the TitanTron and told Benjamin that as a token of his gratitude, he fixed up his car. The camera pans on the shattered remains of Benjamin’s 2006 Nissan Altima, with the paint job virtually done for and the windshield destroyed completely. Archer then held up Benjamin’s wallet, which had $500 and some pictures of Benjamin and his parents. Archer warned Benjamin that if he even thinks about coming backstage, the precious photos will be obliterated to the point of no return. Gasoline had already been poured all over them. Having no choice, Benjamin had to finish the match. Regal took advantage by hitting the Knee Trembler and locking in the Regal Stretch, forcing Benjamin to tap out. In convincing fashion, William Regal is on his way to WrestleMania. After failing countless times to unseat Christian, the brute Brit can now secure a purple briefcase and take on the ECW Champion whenever he wants. Even in his most vulnerable state, as long as Regal and a referee are around, the ECW Champion better watch out. Regal and Kozlov hugged each other on top of the stage, knowing salvation was in 34 days. Benjamin, almost having his memory sucked out of his cranium from the Knee Trembler, saw Archer on the Tron again and begged him not to do it. Benjamin couldn’t take these mind games and wanted to cripple Archer once and for all, but he knew that if he tried, his pictures would be gone forever. “You know, because I’m such a good guy, I’ll do it just to see the look on your face,” Archer dementedly stated, as he took a lighter and put it on the pictures. Archer also left Benjamin’s wallet on the car, which purposely caught fire as well. In an instant, the car, the wallet, and the pictures were burning. Benjamin collapsed on his knees and cried, knowing that he was dealing with something more dangerous than he had ever encountered: Vance Archer. Saxton and Matthews solemnly changed the subject to the newest inductee of the 2010 WWE Hall of Fame class. Maurice “Mad Dog” Vachon’s the name, brutality is his game. A video package aired looking back on Vachon’s career, which was the same one that aired on RAW. It also showed the announcement of Pat Patterson inducting Vachon. Backstage, Archer was talking to his Gatecrashers partner Curt Hawkins. Hawkins loved what Archer did to Benjamin, stating that it needed “plenty of balls.” Archer thanked Hawkins and said that after tonight, the name Shelton Benjamin will go down with the terms “crybaby” and “pathetic loser.” Just then, Benjamin viciously slammed Hawkins into the lockers and fought Archer, easily gaining the upper hand. Security and road agents were called in, but that wasn’t enough. Benjamin was still beating Archer. Eventually, Archer turned it around and soon, Hawkins joined in to make it a 2-on-1. The camera was knocked over as well, but we could hear a very loud crash and Benjamin screaming. COMMERCIAL BREAKA commercial aired hyping up ECW’s move to Bravo. Apparently, ECW will move to the network this October. The song used was “Too Close” by Alex Clare, and the tagline was “This fall, a brand-new reality becomes a reality.” GOLDUST DEF. TRENT BARRETA TO QUALIFY FOR ECW MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCHSaxton and Matthews mentioned the brawl between Benjamin and Archer was still going on. Things have gotten worse as GM Tiffany has now called the Des Moines Police Department and that they are trying to bring both men downtown for questioning (including the destruction of Benjamin’s Altima). Hawkins was escorted out of the area because he had to get ready for his match with The Hurricane. Barreta was all over Goldust early on, taking him to the limit with heavy kicks and high-flying moves, such as a springboard moonsault out of the ring. Goldust kept it as competitive as possible, having Barreta land on his head several times with a vertical suplex, a Brainbuster, and a piledriver. “I’d hate to be Barreta right now,” said Matthews. Goldust went to the top for a clothesline, but Barreta caught his arm in mid-air and slammed it onto the canvas. Barreta hit the Dudebuster DDT on Goldust and went for the cover. ONE! TWO! KICKOUT! Barreta thought quickly and propped up Goldust on the top turnbuckle. Barreta then went for a Frankensteiner, but Goldust saw Barreta before he could attempt it and hit a Jackknife powerbomb. Goldust then hit the Final Cut on Barreta and went for the cover. ONE! TWO! THREE! After years of being a mid-carder, Goldust finally has the chance to rise to main-event status and cement his WWE legend. At WrestleMania XXVI, will “The Bizarre One” take his first step towards finally becoming a world champion? The fight between Benjamin and Archer had ended at this point, and both have been taken by the DMPD (Des Moines Police Department) to the local precinct for questioning. THE HURRICANE DEF. CURT HAWKINS TO QUALIFY FOR ECW MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCHHawkins wasn’t as worried as before, but his back was sore from his involvement in the Benjamin/Archer brawl. When Hurricane arrived, Hawkins laughed at him uncontrollably. The bell rings, and Hurricane boots Hawkins in the face. That only got a two-count. Channeling his inner Gregory Helms, Hurricane launched a cruiserweight-based attack on Hawkins. The same cruiserweight-based attack that made Hurricane the longest-reigning Cruiserweight Champion in WWE history. Using offense like the somersault plancha and a frog splash converted into a crossbody gave Hurricane the advantage for a while. Hurricane went for the Eye of the Hurricane, but Hawkins countered it into a reverse piledriver. Hawkins went out of the ring and took a breather. He mocked the crowd by going over the barricade and pretending to take pictures with them. Hawkins pointed to the WrestleMania XXVI marquee and yelled, “The new ECW Champion!!!” Hawkins went back into the ring, and before he stood up, Hurricane caught him with a shining wizard. Hurricane then brought back the Hurrichokeslam and hit the Eye of the Hurricane. ONE! TWO! THREE! Mr. Helms celebrated as the house lights dimmed and green smoke filled the ring. Getting his signature green cape, Hurricane rode on his trusty Hurri-Cycle and left Des Moines. The stage is set. At WrestleMania XXVI, in the first-ever brand-exclusive Money in the Bank Ladder Match and the first-ever WrestleMania with more than one MITB briefcase at stake, the ECW one will feature William Regal vs. Tommy Dreamer vs. Goldust vs. Zack Ryder vs. Tyler Reks vs. The Hurricane. Winner climbs a ladder (while having the snot kicked out of them with ladders as the prime culprit) and earns a guaranteed ECW Championship match, any time, any place, for one whole year. Hawkins held back tears as he lamented his misfortune at missing The Grandest Stage of Them All. The story here was that Hawkins could’ve finished it, but his cockiness ended up being his downfall. Backstage, Scott Stanford was interviewing Tiffany. She was pissed-off beyond compare. Apparently, Tiffany was sick and tired of Benjamin and Archer constantly torturing each other, and that this was the third fight that has broken out between them in two months. Tiffany stated that if Benjamin and Archer want to kill each other, she'll make that happen. Which is why at WrestleMania XXVI, it'll be Shelton Benjamin vs. Vance Archer in an Extreme Rules Match!!! Tatsu vs. Kozlov was promoted for the last time. The #1 contender will be decided next. COMMERCIAL BREAK The last WrestleMania promo for the night. YOSHI TATSU DEF. VLADIMIR KOZLOV TO BECOME #1 CONTENDER FOR ECW CHAMPIONSHIP AT WRESTLEMANIA XXVISaxton called this an international affair, stating that the ECW Champion is Canadian (Christian) and that he will face either a Japanese (Tatsu) or Russian (Kozlov) opponent in a world championship match at the biggest show of the year. Kozlov dominated the early stages by brutalizing Tatsu, using what Christian said as motivation. Kozlov went for a spinning Hellevator, but Tatsu countered it into a DDT. From there, Tatsu used his aerial skills to frustrate Kozlov, and was even able to kick the 302-pound sambo savant down to size. Tatsu clotheslined himself over the top rope, so both he and Kozlov were down for the count. Referee Chad Patton started the 10-count as we went to the last commercial break for the night. COMMERCIAL BREAKDuring this break, a commercial aired regarding Chick-fil-A’s proud sponsorship of ECW. The male voiceover (definitely white) stated: "Chick-fil-A proudly supports cutting-edge entertainment for the whole family on ECW." There was a cow and a chalkboard with the Chick-fil-A logo and website URL (the URL was in chalk form) on it. The cow mooed and the voiceover said, “The cows……have no beef with that.” We returned to see Kozlov trapping Tatsu in a hammerlock. Apparently, during the commercial break, Tatsu was going for a springboard dropkick (with the steel steps as the springboard) but Kozlov avoided near-tragedy and Tatsu crashed feet-first into the barricade. Kozlov used his sambo/judo background to pummel Tatsu, and at one point strapped on the Kimura lock. No one has ever broken out of it, and Kozlov even broke Tommy Dreamer’s arm at one point using it. Tatsu reached the ropes, and Patton began the five-count when Kozlov refused to break the hold. Kozlov stopped by four. Kozlov bounced off the ropes and went for an attack, but Tatsu nailed him with a side Russian legsweep. That only got a two-count. Tatsu climbed the top turnbuckle, but Kozlov caught him in mid-air with a wicked clothesline. The pace was all-Kozlov for the next couple minutes until Tatsu countered the Iron Curtain with a DDT. Tatsu went for the spinning heel kick, but Kozlov caught him by the legs and hit the Iron Curtain. ONE! TWO! KICKOUT! Kozlov, now desperate, went for the Kimura lock again, but Tatsu kicked him in the head. Kozlov was stunned and didn’t fall down, but Tatsu fixed it with another roundhouse kick. BAM! The Des Moines crowd leapt for joy as Tatsu made the cover. ONE! TWO! THREE! In the streets of Japan, they are cheering like never before. People in Tokyo were shown watching the match in a bar and celebrating. Yoshi Tatsu gets the moment of his career when he headlines WrestleMania XXVI in a high-profile world title match against the best of them, the ECW Champion Christian. Speaking of Christian, Tatsu shook his future opponent’s hand (indicating he has learned North American customs) and Christian bowed to him (indicating he respects Far East tradition). The two had smiles and stared each other down as Christian held up the ECW Championship. And that’s how the show closes. 33 DAYS AWAY (University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona) Here is a look at the WrestleMania XXVI card so far: World Heavyweight Championship-The Undertaker (c) vs. Triple H ECW Money in the Bank Ladder Match-William Regal vs. Tommy Dreamer vs. Goldust vs. Zack Ryder vs. Tyler Reks vs. The Hurricane (winner earns an ECW Championship match, any time, any place, for up to one year) Extreme Rules Match-Shelton Benjamin vs. Vance Archer ECW Championship-Christian (c) vs. Yoshi Tatsu Graphics courtesy of HEELRyan Theme Songs: “I Made It” by Kevin Rudolf ft. Ring Posts (with Kevin Eck)
ECW; Tatsu gets big break, WrestleMania card becomes even better, and MITB qualifiers
If there's one show that wrestling fans should keep their eyes on every week, it's not RAW, SmackDown, or even Superstars. The show I'm talking about is ECW. On December 15, 2009, ECW Champion Christian, Tommy Dreamer, and Goldust spoke on behalf of the brand and changed the wrestling landscape for good. All three were disgusted at what the show had turned into and threatened McMahon to turn it around immediately. Every member of the roster (including General Manager Tiffany, commentators Byron Saxton and Josh Matthews, new ring announcer Savannah, backstage interviewer Scott Stanford, the timekeeper, and a couple cameramen) legitmately walked out and went on strike. Although McMahon refused at first, he finally gave in on RAW the next week and said, "tomorrow, ECW gets a whole new outlook." Using their collective power, the ECW roster pleased a whole lot of fans and got what they wanted: Equality with the other two brands. There were even rumors of the brand being cancelled around this time, with the Superstars on it becoming free agents and an entirely non-brand show being introduced. Last night, ECW continued to make strides.
In the main event, Yoshi Tatsu beat Vladimir Kozlov, and per pre-match stipulation, will now face Christian for the ECW Championship at WrestleMania XXVI. The contest was well-worked and kept the crowd entertained. It was so surreal seeing Tatsu pin Kozlov's shoulders and pointing at the WrestleMania sign. Then I realized this was really happening. As I recall, the ECW Championship has only been defended at WrestleMania once. In 2008, instead of giving us a real #1 contender with real build, we got a 24-man pre-show battle royal won by Kane (one of the most random people to win) and instead of giving us a real match, we got a new champion crowned in eight seconds. That was a complete joke. The year before that, the ECW Champion (Bobby Lashley) was too busy representing Donald Trump in the "Battle of the Billionaires," and last year, the ECW Champion (Jack Swagger) was left off the card completely. For years, the ECW Championship has been soiled on by Vince and treated as an accessory instead of a legitimate world title. In fact, many people believe the title's legacy was tarnished forever when Vince himself won the title. But, if anything, Christian has managed to defuse that perception. For the past 212 days (213 if you count today) Christian has been a world champion. He has been given quality opponents (William Regal, Dreamer, Zack Ryder, just to name a few) and has made the ECW Championship mean something again.
Which is why his match with Tatsu will bring the house down.
These two are extremely (no pun intended) gifted athletes, and having them put on a clinic in front of more than 70,000 people at the world's biggest wrestling event will solidify their standing in the company, put over the title as a real championship, and increase the brand's stock in a good 20-25 minute affair. Although Christian has faced Tatsu before (a title match last October on ECW) this is on a much bigger scale, and they've only met once on television so it'll seem fresh to many fans. As for who wins, I'll decide that later.
ECW is the latest brand to finish up their Money in the Bank qualifying matches. These are the six members of ECW that can make plans for Glendale: William Regal, Tommy Dreamer, Goldust, Zack Ryder, Tyler Reks, and The Hurricane. I know. If you take a quick glance, you may find this a joke. It may not seem very entertaining on paper, but if you throw in Regal's brutality, Goldust's ability to have good matches with just about anybody, Ryder's improving in-ring skills, and Hurricane's cruiserweight arsenal, it makes for a very good ladder match. I haven't seen too much of Reks so I can't decide what he does for the match, but he looked pretty good against Paul Burchill last night. And I'll get into Dreamer later. It was intriguing to see Ryder take on Caylen Croft, since heel vs. heel matches rarely ever work. Right now, he is my pick for the briefcase. Ryder has been working aggressively ever since being drafted to ECW last spring, so earning a guaranteed world championship match will help establish his role as a top draw on the show. I may be wrong, but I'm pulling for the Long Island native...........
The feud between Shelton Benjamin and Vance Archer will reach a fitting ending. At WrestleMania, the two will meet in an Extreme Rules Match. Just like Randy Orton and Ted DiBiase on RAW, Benjamin and Archer got involved in each other's business. Although Benjamin didn't interfere in Archer's match with Dreamer, he still attacked him afterwards. This would set up something huge. During Benjamin's entrance, Archer viciously assaulted him and threw him off the stage. Benjamin was deemed able enough to compete and faced Regal in order to qualify. Archer showed up on the TitanTron and revealed he had severely damaged Benjamin's car and was about to burn the family pictures in his wallet. Regal took advantage and forced Benjamin to tap out with the Regal Stretch. Archer burned the pictures, Benjamin's wallet, and turned the car into a flaming piece of scrap metal, leaving Benjamin crying. It soon turned into a brawl backstage that even involved Curt Hawkins (Archer's tag-team partner and best friend) at one point. It got so bad, security and road agents couldn't stop it so Tiffany called the Des Moines Police Department. They sent the two to the precinct for questioning. This was set up amazingly and I can only give WWE a pat on the back for having this feud become as emotionally charged as possible. On March 28, expect to see these two raise some hell on each other.
As for Dreamer being in MITB, I don't like the decision. I know he won so Archer's feud with Benjamin could be furthered, but at this point, I don't care to see him in the ring anymore. I'll always respect Dreamer for being a trailblazer in this industry when it came to hardcore and putting his body on the line for years just so we could be entertained, but I feel like his days in WWE are done. Dreamer's contract expires right after TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs on December 19, so giving him high-profile roles until then is probably something that's on WWE's to-do list. As much as Dreamer doesn't interest me as a performer anymore, I will be sad when he does leave WWE, as he is the only ECW Original on the entire roster.
ECW is officially moving to Bravo in October, with an unspecified date. This is big news for WWE, which has been looking to take ECW to a more well-known network for a while now. The rumors of SmackDown moving to a new channel are still running rampant, but I'm not believing it until there's proof. The song used in the commercial to promote the switch was "Too Close" by Alex Clare. Great track.
The milestone 200th episode of ECW is fast approaching. Looks like WWE is trying to make up for the dumpster fire that was the 100th episode by pulling out all of the stops for this one. With WrestleMania on the horizon, it can't be built up as much as the company would like, but promotion will still go on as planned. It'll be a three-hour show at a 9:00 pm start time, feature RAW and SmackDown Superstars, and will have more than 20 members of the original ECW on hand for the historic show. There will be a hardcore theme as several of the matches will be under dangerous stipulations. Sort of a pre-Extreme Rules, if you will. It is uncertain whether or not Paul Heyman will make an appearance. The ECW Championship will most definitely be defended that night, and you have to think the Hardcore Championship will be as well. ECW 200, April 6 at 9:00 PM EST on Syfy.
Speaking of the Hardcore Championship, WWE has still not yet decided who they want to challenge for it at WrestleMania. There are plenty of ECW guys who need something to do for the big event, so why not have it be contested in a free-for-all or something? Then again, with ECW 200 right there, WWE may just nix the WrestleMania plan and put it on the line that night instead.

"I am the game, and I am.........that.......damn.......good!!!"-Triple H WWE Superstars
February 25, 2010
Des Moines, Iowa
Theme Song: “Invincible” by Adelitas WayThe pyro goes off as Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler welcome us to tonight’s edition of WWE Superstars. In the main event, the WWE Champion Sheamus will tangle with “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters!!! They turn it over to Todd Grisham and Matt Striker, who hype up the match between Matt Hardy and Tyson Kidd. They turn it over to Byron Saxton and Josh Matthews, who kick off the night by introducing us to the opening contest.CURT HAWKINS DEF. GOLDUST (ECW)Saxton mentioned that he spoke to Hawkins earlier in the day, and he was upset for two reasons: His best friend Vance Archer was whisked away by police two nights ago and he couldn’t do anything about it, and The Hurricane embarrassed him by beating him and qualifying for the ECW Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania XXVI. Needless to say, Hawkins wasn’t in the best of moods. The bell rang and Hawkins tried as hard as possible to weaken Goldust from an early point. Hawkins gave Goldust an injury by slamming his right leg repeatedly against the ring post. Goldust mounted some offense later, even hitting the Final Cut at one point. Instead of pinning Hawkins, Goldust went to the top turnbuckle and went for a definitive legdrop. However, Hawkins moved out of the way and Goldust had no choice but to land on his legs for safety. Goldust clutched his leg in pain, Hawkins nailed the Laugh Riot, and got the much-needed victory. Sheamus vs. Masters was promoted. COMMERCIAL BREAKA promo for WrestleMania XXVI was aired, 31 days away on pay-per-view. MATT HARDY (W. / MVP) DEF. TYSON KIDD (W. / DAVID HART SMITH; SMACKDOWN)A nice contest near the end of the first half-hour with MVP and Smith even getting into a fistfight. Kidd dictated the pace early on with a fast-paced moveset, but Hardy caught up to him and even countered a pin attempt into his own pin. Striker mentioned that Hardy and MVP will be two of the 12 men trying to qualify for the SmackDown Money in the Bank Ladder Match tomorrow night. Near the end, Smith was arguing with referee Chad Patton. MVP was planning to knock Smith off the apron, but Kidd himself did it when Hardy tossed him towards the ropes. Patton barely avoided it, but Smith wasn’t so lucky. MVP threw Smith into the steel steps while Hardy nailed Kidd with the Twist of Fate for the victory. The Intercontinental Champion joined his partner in celebrating the win. Sheamus was shown backstage heading towards the ring. He looked as intense as ever. His match with Chris Masters was next. COMMERCIAL BREAKThere was one last WrestleMania promo. Kiddie Academy aired their own commercial sponsoring WWE Superstars. The female voiceover said: “Kiddie Academy childcare learning center, proud supporter of WWE Superstars. Providing educationally-focused childcare. Preparing children for school and for life. Kiddie Academy, community begins here!!!” WWE CHAMPION SHEAMUS DEF. CHRIS MASTERS (RAW)It was a well-worked brawl from the beginning. Masters stunned Sheamus with his ferocity at first and tried to slap on the Master Lock. Sheamus countered it into the Irish Curse backbreaker. Both men were turning this into a street fight. Sheamus hit the Brogue Kick twice during the match, but couldn’t put Masters away. After an initial struggle, Masters finally trapped the WWE Champion in the Master Lock. Sheamus’ face turned red and he slowly faded. Masters freed Sheamus and pinned him. ONE! TWO! KICKOUT! Masters climbed to the top and went for a dropkick, but Sheamus swatted him away and Masters tasted the canvas. Sheamus then hit the Brogue Kick a third time and plowed Masters down to the ground with a High Cross. ONE! TWO! THREE! The Irishman stood on Masters’ chest and posed with the WWE Championship. If this is what Sheamus brings to the table in 31 days against John Cena and Triple H, we may witness his reign being defined. ©2010 WWE PRODUCTIONS (MADE IN DES MOINES)WWE Superstars is presented by Kiddie Academy, The Arthur Vining Davis Foundation, The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and by contributions to your WGN America station from Viewers Like You. Thank you!!!

Not a fan of ECW getting its own Money in the Bank ladder match, especially if Smackdown is also getting one. 2 is just about overkill, so 3 would be far too many. ECW title match is fine, though Yoshi might not be ready for a Wrestlemania title match like this. Not a fan of Shelton Benjamin vs Vance Archer being added to the card either. Props for trying to do something different, but it really doesn't seem like a wrestlemania match, could have been saved till Extreme Rules if you really wanted it on a ppv. What I do like is the Sheamus vs Cena vs HHH title match. I really didn't care for Sheamus vs HHH at mania, as the chemistry just wasn't there imo. Their Extreme Rules match was alot better. Hope Miz, Kingston or Bourne wins the Raw Money in the Bank match.
Not a fan of the layout, and there's far to much detail for my liking (granted Dan is your inspiration on this diary) A few booking issues I don't like but the diary does show promise. Keep to it, and don't let lack of replies bother you.

After countless hours of research, I figured out the secret to a good diary. The layout is getting a complete overhaul effective immediately and from this point forward. Any past shows/dirtsheets will remain in their current orientation, while future shows/dirtsheets will be revamped entirely.

Here is a look at the latest news in the world of WWE, courtesy of Bleacher Report:
RVD might miss ECW 200; WWE considering return of brand-exclusive PPVs; latest update on RAW Superstar Initiative; WWE and PBS lock elbows; ECW moving this fall; WWE Superstars results
February 26, 2010
-ECW's 200th episode is on April 6, and WWE is pulling out all the stops to make sure it is a momentous occasion. Every match will be under "ECW Rules," wrestlers from RAW and SmackDown will show up, the ECW Championship will be defended, and more than 20 former ECW employees have signed on or have been contacted to take part in the event. Next to Paul Heyman, the biggest absence is Rob Van Dam, who hasn't been confirmed for ECW 200.
With Van Dam signing a contract with Total Nonstop Action (TNA) as early as next week, the chances of him attending the show are slim, since both companies are very strict about letting their talent take part in their rival's events. However, Van Dam, an ECW alumni and a driving force behind its popularity as a third company in the mid-to-late '1990s, is still keen on attending the 200th installment. "What ECW did for wrestling as a whole can't be duplicated anywhere else. I've been watching some episodes recently and the brand has definitely improved. If Vince is going to pay tribute to ECW the right way, and celebrate what it means to wrestling fans, then I sure as Hell want to go," Van Dam said in a radio interview last week.
-WWE has been strongly considering bringing back brand-exclusive pay-per-views. The biggest reason is to make the titles more prestigious by putting them in a less crowded spotlight and to showcase the midcard as tomorrow's main-eventers. Apparently, the company has been working on a functional new format since 2008, which caused the rapid schedule change last year. Although it may be a stretch to make people pay $45-$50 for guys who might otherwise be left off the card, CEO Vince McMahon said that aggressive work will be done on the midcard and lower-card over the next year so the people in it can be positioned to legitmately take over the company one day. The new format would give each brand four PPVs, while the "Big Four" (Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series) would be left tri-branded of course, bringing the total to 16 a year. Old concepts will be revived, and gimmick concepts (Hell in a Cell, TLC, Elimination Chamber) will be retooled, kept, or done away with completely. Due to the format of the current schedule, no change is expected until 2011 next year (The new format would have New Year's Revolution for RAW on January 2 and the Royal Rumble four weeks later). While the format is being talked about, it isn't a sure thing just yet.
-According to Wrestlezone.com, the first four wrestlers who will take part in the RAW Superstar Initiative next month have been named: Wade Barrett, David Otunga, Justin Gabriel, and Daniel Bryan. Barrett wrestled under his current name and as Stu Sanders in Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW)/Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). Bryan is best known around the world as Bryan Danielson. He wrestled around the independent circuit his entire career and his submission expertise, his normal personality and relationship with the fans made him a god in Ring of Honor (ROH), where he is known as a "Founding Father." Gabriel is best known as Justin Angel in FCW, where he is the current Florida Heavyweight Champion. While Otunga doesn't have a wrestling background, he is best known in media as the husband of singer-actress Jennifer Hudson. He was also part of the second season of the VH1 reality series I Love New York under the name "Punk." Otunga lasted until the final three. Apparently, the four men are working feverishly with FCW trainers to make sure they're prepared for their first night on RAW. The man who progresses faster than the other three will make his debut on RAW first, the night after WrestleMania XXVI.
-In an effort to make their programming more family-friendly, WWE has partnered up with PBS to not only show their educational side, but to also help kids who don't have a choice academically. You may have noticed at the end of RAW and ECW that they were presented by various sponsors, the majority of which sponsor PBS as well. With this new plan, the two companies not only advertise themselves from a learning and business standpoint, they use the money they make from the sponsors to give children across America new opportunities to learn. All three brands are presented by The Arthur Vining Davis Foundation and Viewers Like You. RAW is also presented by Rhodes' 60-Second Cinnamon Rolls and a cooperative agreement from the U.S. Department of Education's Ready To Learn! Grant. ECW is also sponsored by Chick-fil-A and The Corporation For Public Broadcasting. The same goes for SmackDown, but their mainstream sponsor is Chuck E. Cheese's. Even WWE Superstars has its own sponsors. They're the same as ECW and SmackDown, save for the lead sponsor (which is Kiddie Academy). On ECW, Chick-fil-A aired their own commercial proudly sponsoring the Tuesday night brand. Chuck E. Cheese's will be running their own ad tomorrow night sponsoring SmackDown, featuring the rodent mascot himself (voiced by longtime actor/CEC employee Duncan Brannan). Rhodes' 60-Second Cinnamon Rolls isn't expected to air their own TV spot sponsoring RAW until WrestleMania, where they're expected to do a special live advert. This is to make WrestleMania feel more like the Super Bowl with special commercials. For those unfamiliar with the sponsors, the easiest and fastest way to research them with your kids is to look out for them on PBS Kids shows, the most prominent being Arthur, Martha Speaks, Curious George, and Super Why!
-As evidenced by the commercial this past Tuesday, ECW is moving to the channel Bravo this October. The song promoting the move is "Too Close" by Alex Clare, which can be downloaded on WWE's official website from now until 9:00 PM EST on moving night. There are still rumors of SmackDown moving to Syfy to replace ECW's post, but there hasn't been any comment on it at all. If it does happen, SmackDown will move to Syfy the same week ECW moves to Bravo.
-In case you missed it or don't have WGN America, here is a look at the results from last night's WWE Superstars: Curt Hawkins def. Goldust Matt Hardy (w./ Intercontinental Champion MVP) def. Tyson Kidd (w./ David Hart Smith) WWE Champion Sheamus def. Chris Masters

"Triple H, you son of a bitch!!!! Why?! Tell me why!"-Jim Ross WWE Friday Night SmackDown

Theme Song: “Let It Roll” by Divide The Day
A video package is shown with highlights of the World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber Match five nights ago. Undertaker countered a Codebreaker by Chris Jericho into a Last Ride. Undertaker then hit the Tombstone on Jericho and pinned him to retain his title. Wearing a T-shirt with “17-1” on it, 2010 Royal Rumble winner Shawn Michaels floored Undertaker with Sweet Chin Music, and chose him as his WrestleMania XXVI opponent the next night on RAW. Only one condition: If Michaels loses, no more rematches, no more excuses, no regrets. If Undertaker retains the World Heavyweight Championship and goes 18-0, HBK’s career is over.
The crowd here at the Wells Fargo Arena is welcomed to an amazing hue of blue pyro as Todd Grisham and Josh Matthews hype up tonight’s edition of SmackDown. Chris Jericho hosts The Highlight Reel with Edge as his special guest. Will he accept The Rated-R Superstar’s challenge for a match at WrestleMania XXVI? Also, 12 SmackDown Superstars compete in qualifying matches for a chance to get to the blue brand’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match in 30 days. The gong strikes and the lights go out.WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION THE UNDERTAKER SPEAKSWe are swept into the opening segment by the World Heavyweight Champion himself. Here is what The Deadman has to say: “In one whole month, the University of Phoenix Stadium will bear witness to two ring generals in the biggest WrestleMania match ever heard of. The World Heavyweight Championship, MY World Heavyweight Championship, will be defended against who I believe is the greatest in-ring performer of his generation, Shawn Michaels. (loud cheering) But there is one thing Shawn must do if he loses. And he WILL lose. (mixed reaction, probably 70% Undertaker) He must take a career that has crossed over into two different decades and end it. He must put all of his demons to rest. He must retire. (loud booing) But why would I ask something like that from a man who has at least five more good years ahead of him? Last year, at this time, I faced Shawn in what was the greatest WrestleMania match of my career. In the end, Shawn ended up like all the others. He failed. (loud booing) Over the years, I have faced 16 different men at WrestleMania. I fought my brother Kane twice, and ended him twice. But never have I faced the same soul at WrestleMania two straight years. And I’m worried that might give Shawn an advantage. But it isn’t. The reason why I asked Shawn if he could put his career on the line isn’t that hard to understand. He is obsessed. (laughing) Obsessed with beating me. Obsessed with adding to his own legacy. And obsessed with proving something to himself. Ever since Shawn laid out the challenge to me in December, he’s become a different person. Superkicking referees, attacking other wrestlers, guaranteeing he’ll beat me. He has become a delusional man. And if he doesn’t win, I’m afraid he’ll be sent on a trip of absolute depression. He’ll start to believe he isn’t the man he once was, and begin to self-destruct over not beating me. Shawn Michaels, at WrestleMania XXVI, you will not see the beginning of the end. Your career will end, but not due to tragedy. It will be because you simply couldn’t get it done. You will soon understand that. In 30 days, you will…..rest……..in…..peace!!!” The first MITB qualifying match is promoted. Dolph Ziggler faces Finlay, next. COMMERCIAL BREAKA promo for WrestleMania XXVI aired, 30 days away on pay-per-view. DOLPH ZIGGLER DEF. FINLAY TO QUALIFY FOR SMACKDOWN MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCHA good opening bout with a nice ground-based attack from both men. Despite being in his ‘50s, Finlay is still able to have a great match with the best of them. Ziggler was all over the place, with several high-flying spots. At one point, Ziggler scaled the top rope with ease and sent Finlay down with a sweet dropkick. Finlay reversed the Zig Zag into the Celtic Cross, but that only got a two-count. Finlay went for the Celtic Cross, but Ziggler caught him on the re-entry by kicking him in the face. Now with a bad eye, Finlay was easily brought down with the Zig Zag. ONE! TWO! THREE! WWE Tag-Team Champion. Money in the Bank winner. World Heavyweight Champion? In a couple months, those could be Ziggler’s credentials as he scales the ladder to success. On March 28, he’ll have to literally scale the ladder in front of a possible record-breaking crowd in Glendale in order to secure his place in WWE history. Ziggler stared up at the blue briefcase with his WWE Tag-Team Championship belt and said, “WrestleMania will be the night to remember. Because it’ll be all…..about…..me!!!” Ziggler put down the mic and left Des Moines, clinching his spot in the 26th installment of WrestleMania. The Highlight Reel with Edge was promoted. COMMERCIAL BREAKAnother WrestleMania promo. There was also a promo for this Monday’s RAW. Shawn Michaels plans to open the show and call out his WrestleMania XXVI opponent, World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker. Also, how will WWE Champion Sheamus respond to the fact that he now has two formidable opponents for March 28, John Cena and Triple H? MATT HARDY DEF. MIKE KNOX TO QUALIFY FOR SMACKDOWN MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCHAs Knox came out, we were introduced to another one of his “Hard Knox” segments. This week, his topic is brain damage. Knox claimed that causes of brain damage include hypoxia, poisoning by teratogens, infections, and neurological illnesses. Striker loves Knox because he is a vicious killer inside the ring and a medical genius outside of it. Grisham said to the fans that Striker and Knox have had several interesting conversations over the past couple months. Anyway, Knox dominated the early stages by focusing his attack on Hardy’s knee. He went back to the knee several times during the match. Hardy eventually staged a comeback, and after hitting the Side Effect, Hardy grabbed the bottom rope, stood up and prepared for the Twist of Fate. Knox countered it into a Hellevator. Knox prepared for a Big Boot, but mistimed the move and Hardy punished him for it with the Twist of Fate. ONE! TWO! THREE! For years, Matt Hardy has been seen as many things. A master of ladders. Jeff Hardy’s older, less recognizable brother. One of the most dedicated men in the business today. An out-of-shape, unpopular waste of time. But through all that, Hardy has remained in WWE no matter what. Up until now, his biggest accomplishment was winning the ECW Championship in 2008 and finally realizing his dream of becoming a world champion. Now, Hardy can add to that. He can climb that ladder and retrieve the SmackDown briefcase. And finally, castrate the naysayers once and for all. It was that time of the night again. RAW REBOUND“And now….the RAW Rebound is brought to you by WWE Mobile. Download D-Generation-X’s ringtone at m.wwe.com.” It showed highlights of the opening segment with 2010 Royal Rumble winner Shawn Michaels and all three world champions, and the #1 Contender’s Match with John Cena and Triple H. Grisham and Striker hyped up WrestleMania XXVI in 30 days. In what many now perceive as the main event, two future Hall of Famers square off in a match that could end the career of one man. The precious World Heavyweight Championship, an undeniable Streak that has laid waste to 16 different men (even laid waste to one man twice) over the years, and a remarkable career that has lasted a quarter-century will be put on the line. The Undertaker defends the gold and his 17-0 record against “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels. If Michaels loses, he must retire. For the WWE Championship, with no countouts or disqualifications, and no point where the champion has to be involved in the decision, Sheamus gets his first real test in front of 70,000 strong when he meets the incomparable Cenation leader John Cena and “The Game” Triple H in a Triple Threat Match. And for the ECW Championship, Christian finally gets the one match that could not only make or break his title reign, but the brand he competes on. “Captain Charisma” and his 200-plus days as titleholder will meet Japanese sensation Yoshi Tatsu. These two have all the respect in the world for each other, but in the biggest match of both of their careers, what will they do to walk out of Arizona with the Extreme prize? Plus, all three brands get their own Money in the Bank Ladder Match. 18 men will try and grab that briefcase, be it red, blue, or purple, and fly through a sea of ladders and broken bones in their quest to become world champion. CM Punk was seen walking to the ring with Luke Gallows. His MITB qualifying match was next. COMMERCIAL BREAKChuck E. Cheese’s aired their commercial sponsoring SmackDown. Chuck himself, voiced by Duncan Brannan, said: “Chuck E. Cheese’s is proud to support quality entertainment that the whole family can enjoy. That’s why WWE Friday Night SmackDown gets an A+ in my book!!! Chuck E. Cheese’s, where a kid can be a kid!!!” CM PUNK DEF. R-TRUTH TO QUALIFY FOR SMACKDOWN MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCHR-Truth came out doing his “What’s up?” shtick for the Des Moines crowd. Punk’s music hit, and apparently he was not happy about anything right now. “WrestleMania is the time that brings joy and peace to the locker room. We work our ass off all year for you unappreciative bastards and we get what we want. But this year, what I wanted was to become the World Heavyweight Champion for the fourth time in my career. But Rey Mysterio, that lying, stealing, dirty coward cheated his way into eliminating me from the match he knew I was going to win on Sunday. Luke, keep your damn eyes up!!! Your posture sickens me, Luke. And here I am, having to qualify for Money in the Bank against this happy-go-lucky wannabe rapper. But it’s not that bad, because two of my three reigns as World Heavyweight Champion came from Money in the Bank and I’m gracious for it. So at WrestleMania XXVI, I’ll walk away with the Money in the Bank briefcase for the third……..straight……time!!! Oh, and Truth? Let me see if this hits a little bit close to home because your race has a history of not taking a hint like normal people do. Let’s just say I’ll beat the Run-DMC out of you.” Evidently, Punk did just that. Truth got in some offense here and there, even hitting the Lie Detector at one point. Gallows interfered near the end by pulling Truth by the neck. Truth didn’t take that very well and even attacked Gallows. When R-Truth went back into the ring, Punk nailed him with a roundhouse kick, causing him to (legit) black out. Punk then hit the Go to Sleep (GTS) on Truth and made the cover. ONE! TWO! THREE! Five days after eliminating R-Truth first from the Elimination Chamber, Punk once again beats Truth and plans to meet the World Heavyweight Champion (whether it is The Undertaker or Shawn Michaels) after WrestleMania sooner rather than later. Punk woke up Gallows and said, “Two things: The first thing is that when I once again walk away with the Money in the Bank briefcase in 30 days, Edge should name me the new Mr. Money in the Bank. And two, get the stuff, Greg.” Punk was talking to one of the cameramen named Greg, who was told to do this is Punk won. Punk put on his hat, gold chain and leather jacket, while Gallows put on his hat, jacket and guitar. The hats were very distinctive. “Play the music,” Punk said. Apparently, it was “Rock Box” by Run-DMC. In an effort to mock R-Truth, Punk and Gallows dressed like the members of the group from the landmark music video for the song. Both men lip-synced the song, danced around Truth’s limp body, and laughed repeatedly, much to the crowd’s disgust. This lasted until the song was done. During this time, they removed R-Truth from the ring and for the viewers watching on TV, switched to Edge backstage. He had a scheduled interview with Jerry “The King” Lawler. Edge was asked about his appearance on The Highlight Reel later that night. Edge first mentioned what Punk said and claimed that he hasn’t earned his respect enough to merit being called Mr. Money in the Bank. Edge then said that he seriously hopes Chris Jericho accepts his WrestleMania challenge. For months, Edge was shocked at how Jericho handled the dissolution of their team and that it was about time he stopped associating himself with people like that. Edge said that if Jericho says no, he’ll make him say yes. DREW MCINTYRE DEF. BIG SHOW BY DISQUALIFICATION TO QUALIFY FOR SMACKDOWN MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCHBecause this was heel vs. heel, the fans were stumped as to who to root for. Before the introductions, Grisham apologized to the fans for Punk’s actions earlier. Striker claimed that Punk and Gallows crossed the line, they are being dealt with backstage and there will be serious repercussions. McIntyre cut a promo about how he is proud of his partner Dolph Ziggler for qualifying for MITB earlier, and that he plans to qualify as well. “And then, when I get the briefcase at WrestleMania, you’ll all see why I’m…….the chosen one,” McIntyre said. Big Show came out and ran down the aisle towards McIntyre. He speared the other half of the WWE Tag-Team Champions and started wailing on him until referees arrived to detain the 441-pound giant. The bell rang, as McIntyre was deemed able to compete. Striker mentioned that both McIntyre and Show were involved in a backstage incident at Elimination Chamber. At the event, with MVP defending the Intercontinental Championship against Batista, Matt Hardy was confronted all alone by Chosen Perfection (Ziggler and McIntyre). Although it was a serious beatdown at the start, Hardy managed to turn the tables and take out Ziggler. McIntyre missed a lariat on Hardy and accidentally hit Big Show. Both men ended up running away. Later that night, after Chosen Perfection retained the WWE Tag-Team Championships, Show came to attack McIntyre. “The Chosen One” ran away and left Ziggler victim to a chokeslam and a KO Punch. Show dominated McIntyre throughout the whole match, throwing him into the barricade, the turnbuckle numerous times, and over the announce table. McIntyre once clipped Big Show’s knee and went for a shining wizard, but Show swatted him away. Show hit the chokeslam, and went for the KO Punch, but McIntyre nailed him with the Blarney Stone Sandwich (low blow). From the referee’s view, it looked Show was hit in the stomach. McIntyre slithered out of the ring, as Show was livid beyond compare. He grabbed a steel chair and chased McIntyre until he finally caught him. Show nailed McIntyre in the skull with the chair, and the bell rang. Big Show was disqualified, and McIntyre qualified for Money in the Bank. Show screamed “NO!!” repeatedly and left. McIntyre’s music played as Ziggler came out and picked his friend up. McIntyre realized his good fortune and celebrated with Ziggler. This looks like this is going to be a great SmackDown MITB match. So far, you have seasoned veterans (Matt Hardy and CM Punk) along with young stars who have bright futures (Dolph Ziggler at 29 and Drew McIntyre at 24). Show came back, and knocked out McIntyre. Show also locked in the Colossal Clutch on Ziggler, causing him to pass out. Another promo for The Highlight Reel. COMMERCIAL BREAKThere was a promo advertising ECW’s move to Bravo in October and the latest installment of WWE Magazine. It’s the first of three special editions known as the “WrestleMania Series.” This one has Randy Orton on the cover. In it, Superstars discuss their favorite WrestleMania moments, a quiz on the history of the event is given, and the blueprint for the University of Phoenix Stadium is shown. WWE set designer Jason Robinson talks about what goes into creating the stage for WrestleMania and how they plan to turn an ordinary football field into a beautiful extravaganza for the whole world to see. CRYME TYME’S “STR8 OUTTA BROOKLYN” WITH SLAM MASTER JIf I were you, I’d just skip this. Shad and JTG discuss how they lost their tag-team title match at Elimination Chamber, but they plan to get another shot before the end of April. They also made fun of several heels including WWE Champion Sheamus. “So, our glorious WWE Champion kicks people in the face and works at McDonald’s part-time?” JTG said. “Apparently. He cooks a MEAN Big Mac, though,” Shad said. If you don’t get it, they’re making fun of his appearance which resembles Ronald McDonald. Slam Master J arrived and the three men did a version of the theme song for Degrassi. Apparently, they watch Canadian teen dramas now. JOHN MORRISON DEF. MVP TO QUALIFY FOR SMACKDOWN MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCHMorrison shook hands with the Intercontinental Champion before the match started. This was a fun bout as both men brought out the best in each other. At one point, Morrison went for Starship Pain, missed and launched an exhaust kick in mid-air. MVP ducked the Flying Chuck and hit the Playmaker before Morrison could do any more. Morrison kicked out, however. MVP missed the Playa’s Boot and had his foot hit the turnbuckle. Morrison hit the Moonlight Drive on MVP and then connected with Starship Pain. ONE! TWO! THREE! John Morrison has been regarded as a future world champion for years, and he finally proved that notion in 2007 when he won the ECW Championship. Now, he gets to display his aerial skills on the world’s stage in Glendale when he enters Money in the Bank for the second time in his career. With the World Heavyweight Championship in his crosshairs, Morrison might just prove the masses right once again if he secures the blue briefcase on March 28. Jericho was interviewed by Lawler as well. Y2J refused to say whether he would accept Edge’s challenge or not, but that Edge will be very happy with his response. REY MYSTERIO DEF. BATISTA TO QUALIFY FOR SMACKDOWN MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCHMysterio knew who his opponent would be, which is why he was even more pumped up than usual. “The Animal” came out, and demanded: “I am the best that SmackDown has to offer, so I deserve my own spotlight. And I want it, now!!!” Mysterio shook his head as the production team obliged. Apparently, Batista’s new thing was demanding the spotlight he craves so much. Batista played around the mic a little bit, and almost said something, but decided not to. He then posed on the top rope a la Shawn Michaels, and then said: “You people are fortunate enough to witness me compete on Friday nights, so you get your match when I’m done talking!! Anyway, at Elimination Chamber, MVP did NOT beat me. I am the true Intercontinental Champion. I want you all to turn your attention to the Tron.” Apparently, a picture was shown of MVP pinning Batista five nights ago. Batista’s foot was under the bottom rope, but referee Scott Armstrong didn’t see it and awarded MVP the victory. Although MVP saw it, he thought of it as revenge for the way Batista even received the title match (he grabbed MVP’s tights while rolling him up). “I was unjustly cheated out of the victory, so I pointed it out to the WWE Board of Directors that night. They informed Teddy Long, and he had no choice but to give me what I want. So next week, MVP defends the Intercontinental Championship in a rematch against me. And that match will be no………holds……..barred!!!” Looks like Batista might get the Intercontinental Championship AND a future World Heavyweight Championship match. The match was pretty even, as Batista’s strength mixed well with Mysterio’s speed. Striker mentioned the long history Mysterio and Batista have, including their run as WWE Tag-Team Champions in 2005 and their match at Survivor Series last year, where Batista sent Mysterio on a stretcher. Batista had trouble hitting the Batista Bomb. He tried twice, and Mysterio countered each time. Mysterio tried dialing up the 619, but nobody was home. Batista booted Mysterio out of the ring, and sent him into the steps numerous times. Once they returned, Batista hit the Batista Bomb, but Mysterio kicked out. At this point, Mysterio’s mask had been loosened up. Batista then locked in the Batista Bite (crossface-armbar combination) but Mysterio escaped by kicking Batista in the head repeatedly. Mysterio then hit a dropkick, which sent Batista reeling on the bottom rope. After a successful 619 attempt, Mysterio nailed the Big Splash on “The Animal” and pinned him. ONE! TWO! THREE! Rey Mysterio, a man who many believe is made for matches like this, is going to his first-ever Money in the Bank Ladder Match. At the beginning of 2010, Mysterio made a promise to himself that he’d win the World Heavyweight Championship. Well, he’s two steps closer to that. At WrestleMania XXVI, it’ll be Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk vs. John Morrison vs. Matt Hardy vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Drew McIntyre. And the winner becomes one step closer towards winning the World Heavyweight Championship. Just as Mysterio was on the top turnbuckle, Punk (who was wearing a Run-DMC T-shirt, while Gallows was still wearing his hat) pulled him off and slammed him to the mat. Punk then hit the GTS on Mysterio and threw him out of the ring. From there, Punk told Gallows he can take over and the man who Punk helped “save” from years of alcohol abuse slaughtered Mysterio, tossing him into the exposed steel springs on the apron repeatedly. It all ended when he hit Mysterio with the 12th Step. Punk said that Mysterio didn’t deserve to win tonight and that he should get used to seeing the Straight Edge Society from now on. Maurice “Mad Dog” Vachon’s induction video for the 2010 WWE Hall of Fame class was shown. The ring was made over into the set for The Highlight Reel. Chris Jericho answers Edge’s challenge for a WrestleMania match, next. COMMERCIAL BREAKThe last WrestleMania XXVI promo for the night. The Chuck E. Cheese’s commercial aired again. CHRIS JERICHO’S THE HIGHLIGHT REEL (SPECIAL GUEST: EDGE)Before the segment started, they aired the WWE Slam of the Week, brought to you by AutoZone. Get in the zone, auto zone!!!! Edge issuing the challenge to Jericho was shown. Only the last part, though. Jericho only had to accept the challenge or not should he not win the World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber. Jericho said: “Now, for all you hypocrites and parasitic tapeworms in attendance, I didn’t win my match on Sunday. Because of that, I am now forced to answer Edge’s challenge for a match at WrestleMania XXVI. As far as I’m concerned, Edge was walking into a cave filled with fire when he showed up on Sunday and said what he said. If we get into the ring, I will only destroy him. (loud booing) I will rupture that Achilles heel without even trying. Hell, it hasn’t even healed up yet. How do we all know that Edge simply is hurt and he doesn’t want us to know? I mean, he returned at the Royal Rumble in the 30-man battle royal and didn’t even win. He failed to qualify for the Elimination Chamber. Look at him. He’s not the same guy he used to be. All those years of taking LSD with Christian, the Hardy Boyz and the Dudleys caused him to jump off ladders. (loud booing) Nevertheless, as the kind, caring individual that I am, I want to call out Edge so I can tell him my answer.” (Edge’s music hits, he enters the arena and walks into the ring) Jericho simply told Edge that if they have a match at WrestleMania XXVI, all that’ll happen is that Edge will get seriously hurt. His career will come to an abrupt end and Jericho refuses to be the one to end it. Because of that, his answer is no. The crowd heavily booed as Edge grabbed a mic. (quietly) “You unbelievable son of a (bleep).” (normally) “You know you can’t beat me, Chris. You know that I’m more determined, more confident, and more prepared than I’ve ever been in my wrestling career and that frightens you.” (loud cheering) “You lie awake at night and know that I am better than you. That’s why you replaced me when I got injured. If you really thought you were better than me, you wouldn’t replace me with a hired gun that has less ability than you. You would vacate the World Tag-Team Championships and walk away from it all like a man. But you crave the spotlight. You love it when you’re the center of attention. You knew that if I wasn’t injured, you’d have to share the spotlight or not be in it at all. And that’s why you have to face me at WrestleMania. You have to prove to yourself you’re better than me. You want to stroke your ego in front of all those people, but you can’t do it because you suck.” (loud cheering) “You realize what I’m saying and agree with me through each passing word. In fact, you’re worried that YOU have nothing left in the tank. You’re worried that YOU aren’t the same guy anymore. You know something, you’re so pathetic you don’t even deserve to be in the same ring as me.” (loud cheering) Edge threw one of the chairs out of the ring and slapped Jericho in the face. (yelling) “Is that what you want? You want me to end your career?” (stops, then crowd boos) “I see what you’re doing and it’s not gonna work. WrestleMania XXVI will not have Edge vs. Chris Jericho, case closed.” The Des Moines crowd booed as Jericho exited stage left. They started chanting “You can’t do it!!!” repeatedly at Jericho. Eventually, Y2J walked back to the ring and said, “You want to be in a pool of your own blood? Huh? You want me to leave you with nothing left to enjoy in your career? Well, you got it!!!” (loud cheering) “Well, Edge, get ready to always regret this decision. Because when I beat you, the whole world will be making a mockery of your legacy. And I can’t wait to watch you squirm while they do it.” Edge then said, “That’s nice, Chris. Because there’s one word you’ll be hearing a lot after WrestleMania XXVI.” Jericho said, “What’s that?” Edge said, “Spear.” Jericho was confused as Edge kicked him in the ribs and then hit the Edgecution. Edge then hit the Spear on Y2J. “Spear!” chants reverberated throughout the Wells Fargo Arena as Edge pointed to the WrestleMania sign. On March 28, two former tag-team partners (and former World Tag-Team Champions) turned into bitter enemies finally settle the score as Edge wrestles Chris Jericho. And that’s how SmackDown ended. ©2010 WWE PRODUCTIONS (MADE IN DES MOINES)WWE Friday Night SmackDown is presented by Chuck E.
