I loved HBK in his day and believe he is truly one of the greatest.
However, I feel like he is being used way too much since his in-ring retirement. His speech led us to believe that he'd be around every once in awhile, we seem to see him at least once a month.
I don't blame HBK as he shows up where he is told to be...but think WWE really overuses him, making his appearances less special with each appearance he does.
Just curious what general feeling was here..

I still don't get the immense love for Shawn. The guy was great as IC champion. I haven't really enjoyed any of his post-94 work.

I'd love for him to be back on TV every week. So no, in my opinion he isn't being overused.

Whatever do you mean though?!?! HBK is 'never' around, because the WWE made a big deal out of him and Triple H being together for the 1000th Raw. So to say that HBK is there a lot is just crazy talk!

The guy's had great matches with Angle, Cena, Undertaker, Jericho, Triple H, Austin, and hell even Vince. I'm not saying every wrestling fan should like the guy. I'm saying every true wrestling fan recognizes talent when they see it. The best time of Shawn Michaels career was not his run with the Intercontinental Title. I honestly don't see how anyone can say that. That's one of the most ridiculous statements I've ever read on this board.

He was really unlikeable and made you love hate him. He also had some really good matches and feuds with Razor, Tatanka, Mart Jannetty and Mr. Perfect. Main event Shawn just never clicked with me. Terrible match with Nash at WM11, terrible match with Vader at Summerslam, terrible match with BRET HART at WM12. He was also face. Which just didn't make sense, it didn't click with me.

Yes. i honestly think this fued would've been a hell of a lot better if Lesnar broke Stephanies arm on Raw instead of HBK's

I don't really understand how anyone can think Shawn Michaels' best work was during and before 1994. Hell, I'd say he only truly started getting to the top level of the business directly AFTER the year 1994, and if you look at all the classic matches he's had, they damn near all came post-1994.

All it does for me, is make me wish he was still working on a weekly basis. He is there, on Mondays, doing what he has always done. So it makes me wonder why he can't work an Undertaker-ish schedule, or just work the schedule that he does and only actually wrestle once or twice a year.
He's important to the Brock vs Trips feud because Triple H needs a reason, beyond ego, to kick Lesnar's ass imo. I think the feud would be fine without Shawn, but I think it adds another layer. It's essentially the same formula they used for Triple H vs Taker to help boost the intrigue.
HBK's the greatest of all time imo, so any time he is out there is fine by me, but JHC if it doesn't make me miss him being in the ring.

I do feel like HHH can't have a feud with anyone unless HBK's involved now.
And the only feud he had last year that didn't involve HBK was with Punk and that involved Kevin Nash.

So you take two matches to justify over a decade as a face? Not only that but Iron Man was terrible? That's news to me. You have a very misguided view on how to judge a good wrestling match. The Ironman match was fantastic for many reasons that you clearly cannot recognize. You named three matches over the span over a couple years to justify his entire work after 94 as not being good? Explain to me how that makes any sense. Not to mention you said he had good matches with Tatanka. His matches after his return from injury dwarfed his matches with Perfect, Tatanka and Jannetty on so many different levels. The only great match he had with Razor was Mania 10, as the rematch was a botchfest. If you compare any of the matches you just mentioned to his matches after his return from injury, they don't compare. His triple threat at Mania XX could be the best triple threat ever. Plenty of people have WM 21 vs Angle and 25 vs Taker as the greatest matches ever. His April 07 match with Cena on RAW is also highly regarded and widely considered the best RAW match ever. He's competed in the first IronMan, Elimination Chamber, Ladder and Hell in a Cell matches. All but the Ladder coming after 94. If that doesn't convince you, idk what the hell will.
