This is so strange........ I have a feeling we will be seeing very little Elgin now. In fact if he retired it wouldn't surprise me. It's a shame. Elgin WAS great at one point. I'm not sure he'll retire but I will echo that he was great. Then he went to PWG and decided that everyone else was doing all the same sh-t, so he should do it too. It's sad because 2012 Elgin is as he's gonna get when it comes to putting everything together. Tons of great matches, widely acclaimed. Fast forward two years and there is very seldom a nice thing said about the guy's work. I think part of it also might be that he realized he's hit his ceiling. Never gonna get to New Japan, WWE probably aren't gonna call him. Guys get complacent when the reality sets in that they're gonna be king of the indies. Look at Roddy Strong in 2008-2009. I feel bad that he's out a ton of bookings (and with it, a ton money) while he's stuck in Canada and that affects his ability to provide for his family. Regardless of how boring I find his rasslin matches, that's not good.

So this is happening on the 9/27 TV taping. And they're airing these two matches on TV this week. I was going to buy the DVD to see KO/AJ. Glad all I have to do is tune into channel 22 or 45 on Sunday to see it.

I know I'll probably get some flack from people on this, but the way Elgin has handled this has soured me on the guy.
From a lot of accounts out there, he knew something like this was likely to happen. He could have properly prepared and had some extra clothing, gear, cash, whatever he needed on him just in case the likely event of him not being allowed back in the States took place. Instead, he doesn't and opts to play the victim card to get sympathy from the fans, while at the same time seeming to go after them for simply talking about what reports are out there.
I don't know, just something about the way Elgin has handled this whole situation rubs me the wrong way.

Myself and my buddy Takeover are not the biggest fans of Elgin admittedly but they way he is talking about this situation is only making my opinion go further down. I could be wrong but i definitly think hes playing victim and acting like he had no control over the situation. Styles-Sydal should be ing insane. I will go out of my way to see that.

Sydal/Styles will be great. So happy Styles/O'Reilly and Briscoes/Bucks will be on TV I was going to buy the DVD for those matches but don't have to now.

ROH are running a double shot in Toronto on 5/15 and 5/16. Wonder if those are going to be the New Japan shows for next year.

Someone posted this on the ROHWorld forum, an updated and more detailed version of the Elgin story from Meltzer:
Again, I've soured on Elgin because of the situation and how he's handled it. This report confirms it for me. He was asked by ROH management to lay low and let things like the baseball stuff blow over, he didn't by going on social media and talking openly about it. He knew he was going to be tied up at the border, cancelling bookings a week before knowing what could happen, and yet is still acting like it's not his fault and he's the victim.
I'm sorry, but Elgin has lost me as a fan because of his poor attitude toward this.

I had soured on Elgin's work long before this and I've heard horror stories about Elgin as a person. This pretty much cements that I have nothing good left to say about that guy.

I had heard the stories about his attitude and stuff before, but I wanted to give the guy a chance, but it had been getting harder and harder to do so.

On the bright side at least Jay is champ again. Elgin trying to act like a victim is just sad, he knew exactly what he was doing.

I wonder if they're still gonna go ahead with the original plan of Cole winning at Final Battle or if they're really going to go with Mike Bennett as ROH Champion going into the 1/4 Tokyo Dome show.

Got this in the mail today. Only took it eight days to arrive! I've had packages from Japan shipped to me and signed for in a quarter of that time. It's pathetic how bad the shipping department at ROH has become. What's NOT pathetic, however, is the match listing for this DVD. Great stuff top-to-bottom. Glad they finally put out a DVD for these guys.

Just got that last week during the ROH labor day sale and have really enjoyed it so far, and yeah ROH shipping in pretty bad as it seems to take them nearly a week to just ship something out.

If Bennett impressed against Tanahashi then its completely possiblr. It was an alright match but Maria's ass was the MVP.

It's either her ass or the fact New Japan booked reDRagon. There's really nothing else redeeming about that show in retrospect. Just got that last week during the ROH labor day sale and have really enjoyed it so far, and yeah ROH shipping in pretty bad as it seems to take them nearly a week to just ship something out. I don't get how Smart Mark Video, who makes the DVDs as they're ordered, can get me an order with 4 DVDs out in a day or how PWG, who has the same process as ROH as far as factory pressed DVDs, can ship my order in a day but ROH can't. I used to love ordering from ROH but recently I've just kind of be lukewarm on them. There's stuff on that site I'd like to have but not if they're going to take a week to send it to me. Imagine how brutal ordering from them is gonna be if that rumor from back around Honorcon of ROH store exclusive figures ever materializes.

ROH shipping is a lot. Pulse it takes forever to process the order. I got my Steen DVD in 2 days first time I orders no problems. My 2nd order it took a week to ship out. My 3rd order took 2 and a half weeks to be shipped(I emailed ROH this time after 2 weeks, and they said patience please)
