Just got back from the show. Some really good wrestling. Was so cool to see Styles in person, met him before the show too. First ROH show and it was definitely a good one. Will you be attending night 2??

That sucks, at least you went tonight and from the looks of it the show was insane. What was the merch situation like?

Guess Ring Of Honor and Adam Cole pulled one over on most people including myself. Adam Cole was indeed the mystery opponent for AJ Styles at tonights Ring Of Honor-War Of The Worlds Night One show in Philadelphia. Cole is scheduled to team up on Wednesday with fellow members of the Kingdom in a six-man tag against Bullet Club Members - AJ Styles and The Young Bucks. The match is part of the Ring Of Honor-War Of The Worlds Night Two show in Philadelphia. You didn't see that coming from a mile away? They should never have announced the six-man so early.

I'm going to Global Wars Night 2 on Saturday in Toronto. Pretty excited, as I've never been to an ROH show before? What time do you guys recommend showing up to partake in the meet and greets? And to anyone who went last night, are they selling any New Japan merch?

You know I really didnt even get a chance to check it out because I was on line the entire time before the show to meet AJ. From what I saw just a lot of Bullet Club T shirts and ROH DVD's.

Ok, here's my short review of last week's show. Sabin vs O' Reilly - Really solid, to be honest. Loved this match. Screwy finish was kind of a let down but it builds up the feud between KRD and reDRagon. Highlight - Mark Briscoe telling me he'll reach through my televisionvsrt and "slap my momma". WOTW looks ing sick. I wish we could order ROH iPPVs over here. Patron, ACH, and Sydal vs Strong and The Briscoes - On paper, this match was dope, and it was dope in real life too. Side note: I love the Briscoes' Wanted shirts. Mark looked homeless, as always. All 6 men were on fire and there were some awesome sequences throughout. It felt weird to see Roderick acting like a face after basically being public enemy #1 in PWG lately, but it didn't take away from the match. Solid episode as usual lately and I can't wait to find out what happens in the next few days.

I loved Global Wars. Such an entertaining show from start to finish.
Match thoughts:
1) GEDO & MOOSE vs. SILAS YOUNG & WATANABE- I'm surprised how much I enjoyed this match. I like the guys buy wasn't expecting much. The booking was perfect though. Gedo carried the match, Young got mad at Watanabe, and Moose hit some impressive moves. It's exactly as it should have been.
2) CHIS SABIN vs. KYLE O’REILLY vs. KUSHIDA- Loved this one, as I'm a fan of all three guys. It's a shame Fish wasn't there tonight, but it worked out. The match built well into a nice finish.
3) MIKE BENNETT & MATT TAVEN (w/ Maria Kanellis) vs. MATT SYDAL & JUSHIN THUNDER LIGER- Man, this one was fun. Great wrestling, comedy that was actually funny, and a really nice finish. Liger is still great at 50 and the Kingdom is awesome.
4) CEDRIC ALEXANDER vs. KAZUCHIKA OKADA- WOW!!!!! I knew this match would be good, but it went above and beyond. I've been a fan of Cedric for a long time, and this match showed why. Okada was great as well, obviously.
5) RPG VICE vs. THE DECADE vs. THE ADDICTION- Great three way. RPG Vice and The Addiction were perfect and I was surprised by how the Decade stepped it up. Paige has a great future.
6) SHINSUKE NAKAMURA vs. ACH- Match of the Night!!!! Every match ACH seems to have becomes my new favorite from him, and Nakamura is one of my favorites. The dance off was fun, and everything after was fantastic. I loved it.
7) JAY LETHAL (c) vs. TETSUYA NAITO- I'm always happy to watch Jay wrestle, and Naito was a good opponent for him. He took the Lethal Injection better than just about anyone I've seen.
8) MICHAEL ELGIN vs. HIROSHI TANAHASHI- Best Elgin match in a long time. He and Tanahashi work really well together.
9) RING OF HONOR ALL-STARS vs. THE BULLET CLUB- Wonderful main event. There were some moments where it was a bit much, but with matches like that it's expected. Roddy was in most of the match, which helped a lot. War Machine also looked really good, I'm actually excited to see more from them in the future. Bullet Club was all fantastic. I wish Machine Gun had been in more of the match, but oh well. The five man superkick party was awesome!
The aftermath was also amazing. The show of respect between champions and Lethal standing tall at the end was perfect. Triple threat match with all three titles on the line would be awesome. We'd have the guarantee of a new champion, likely either AJ or Lethal as the new ROH champ. It's going to be great.
I can't wait for the War of the World shows to hit VOD and for the upcoming episodes of the TV show. If they're anywhere compared to this they'll be great.

Elgin/Tanahashi was a huge let down I did not care for it at all really.
KUSHIDA/Sabin/O'Reilly Naito/Lethal ACH/Nakamura were my favorites matches from N1

My ROH tickets came in today. Witch show will you be attending? Elgin/Tanahashi was a huge let down I did not care for it at all really. KUSHIDA/Sabin/O'Reilly Naito/Lethal ACH/Nakamura were my favorites matches from N1 Elgin vs. Tanahashi was good since Tana did all his spots and didn't coast. Elgin hung with him and was fine but it wasn't an impressive performance like ACH had.

You know, as much as I like Elgin and still enjoy his work, I have a feeling my days of being truly impressed by him are over. He still has very good matches, but he never seems to show me anything I don't expect from him.
