I don't get WWE's interest in O'Reilly. Adam Cole I do get. I think the opposite actually. As much as I love Adam Cole, KOR is all around a better package than Cole (aside from charisma and mic skills). I'm interested to see what WWE does with both far more than I am in seeing ROH without them.

I really believe Cole can become the face of the company.

At first, i didnt see the big deal about Adam Cole. A few months ago, i started watching more clips of Adam Cole, and he grew on me as a character. I think if Samoa Joe, Nakamura and Roode all make the main roster by after Mania time, and Aries does not come back to NXT to wrestle at 205 Live, NXTs gonna need Cole and O'Reilly, more Cole. I like O Reilly in a team with Bobby Fish, but as a singles guy i honestly dont see anything other than midcarder

If Bobby friggin' Roode can get over in NXT with only a song, Adam Cole is going to really change things there.
As far as KOR goes, the floor is the Cruiserweight division and his ceiling is a Bryan Danielson-esque performer in the main event.
Anyone have suggestions to replace both guys in ROH? Don't want to turn this into an NXT thread. lol

ROH is soon gonna have to rely on their deal with NJPW, to continue bringing in big names.

ROH is soon gonna have to rely on their deal with NJPW, to continue bringing in big names. I don't know how much longer they can do that until NJPW decides to tour the US by themselves. They've never treated ROH all that well in combined shows as far as booking goes. ROH's main event scene is in a weird spot. Unless they bring in outside talent I don't know if it's all that compelling.

Seen only glimpses in the past few years (notably against Jay Briscoe) but nothing since... I'd be ok if Bobby Fish had a good main event push. He can be sold as a top guy for a good while but they have zero time for wiggle room. Given his age, they need to push him yesterday if they plan on getting a great return on his new contract.

They are going to have no choice but to bring in talent from CZW, Beyond, The Midwest, etc. Their roster is already thin IMO but if those two leave they're ed.

That promo by Cody with Corino in the ring was awesome...glad they acknowledged it; I have find memories of Corino vs Dusty at Living Dangerously 2000... I didnt watch much of Corino or any WCW back then but the promo was killer. Cody handling the cruddy crowd screaming for his "Sexy A$$ Wife" and such sold me that Cody is a top level talent. Everything he's been doing lately makes me wish I was watching WWE a few years ago when he was still there.

Dalton Castle vs Adam Cole for the ROH Title at Supercard of Honor Mania weekend. Castle would have been the guy I would have picked to be the next guy. Seems like he's actually going to be the next guy. Awesome. My two favorite ROH guys on that roster for the title is one hell of a way to send Cole off to WWE.

I think it would have made more sense to give Castle a run with the TV title 1st, but I'm not complaining if he's getting the big belt.

How'd he get the opportunity to face Cole for the belt? (I missed it I guess) I think it was a combination of things. First, he beat Roddy Stron when Roddy was leaving and was toward the top of the list. Second, he beat Silas Young who had received a shot, Thrd, he and Cabana won a 4 corners match to become #1 tag contenders, then Cabana split on him and I do not think they ever got a title shot. The last point is that on a tv taping, he, Cole and Fish came out indicating that they were contenders for the title and Cole got his while Fish lost his match and TV title, possibly ending his shot temporarily. Instead of another Cole/O'Reilly match, they decided to give Castle his shot. I am actually hoping he wins. He is entertaining to me while Cole sounds like a broken record.

Does nobody think Fish will win at Manhattan Mayhem?

Does nobody think Fish will win at Manhattan Mayhem? I don't think they would have promoted Cole vs Castle already if Fish was winning. I guess Fish could win, face someone like Daniels for the ROH Title at SCoH, and then Cole vs Castle could be a #1 Contenders match? I'm a big fan of Bobby Fish as well. So him getting it, at 40 years old no less, would be cool to see. I don't think ROH can go wrong either way. I just don't think it makes sense to promote Castle vs Cole if they're going to end up giving fans Cole vs Fish or Fish vs Castle. ROH is essentially catering to fans who watch both WWE and ROH by giving them a title match with 2 guys who are tailor made for WWE over WrestleMania weekend. Seems deliberate to me.

ROH have always pre-promoted championship matches. Could easily be Fish/Castle at SCoH if Cole is on his way out. Pretty sure it's advertised as Castle getting a title match at SCoH. Not necessarily a match against Cole.
